I had found canon 6d mark2 and lenses( ef 50mm f1.8 and 28-80mm) were selling in a pawn shop. around 3000 shots were taken. so I bought them $500! with that price I had no choice but bring them home.. please tell me it's a good deal!
I was gonna buy the EOSR and I still want it.. But why I have upgraded from my 5D MKII to the 6D MKII instead of the EOS R is.. the EOS R was a bit more.. and canon had a HUGE sale on the 6D MKII $880 factory refurbished with 1yr warranty. And while I would love RF glass.. I need to invest into some glass that definitely is not in the $2k range. Tamron has some high quality glass along with Sigma that are at around $1000 and under for some real solid glass.. which is where I gotta be for awhile. The cheapest lens I'll be picking up will be the canon 85mm 1.8 for $270

I’m about to upgrade to a 6D2 from my t3i, buying it refurbished through canon for $1,100-ish, and I’m so so so excited. I can finally shoot in the night, I have full frame, my PC is down so no Lightroom on there so I can send photos over WiFi and edit on Lightroom mobile, not ideal but better than nothing!

I just want to give a shout-out to the truly gifted photographers. Just because somebody's a "pro" doesn't mean they're good or even great. The mediocre ones get the jobs because of their looks, and/or their affiliations. They get the jobs & popularity because they're good at making clichés.

@@redpill2206 dslr is digital single lens reflex camera and slr is the same thing, but not digital. So, analog. Like a film camera. On both you can switch out the lenses instead if having a fixed lens.

I might buy the Canon 6D Mark 2 later down the line. It has on SD card slot which is not a big deal but it has no headphone jack which is odd. the canon 80D has a headphone jack and its cheaper so I am going to buy that instead. Luckily both camera's use the same battery.
The headphone jack was definitely a trade off when I upgraded from the 80d, but I got used to monitoring the audio on screen. I’m happy to have the headphone jack back in the R though. Where are you going to buy it?

Have batteries for both the Canon 80D and Nikon D750, plus the Nikon D750 has a headphone jack and two SD card slots which are the same, Even though it's Full frame it's a bit out off date but with a small bunch off full frame lenses it's gonna be fun to use plus it's gone down in price. Going to purchase the Sigma 24-105 in both Nikon and Canon mounts. Have a four year plan.

@@nikhilchandra9258 The 90D is so overloaded with compromises from Canon to "protect" their Cinema cameras, then the change makes no sense. Buy more EF lenses if the RF Mount will prevail in the future is not a good idea. The change to full-size mirrorless will come, but Canon is still not as set up as I would like. I also use the 80D for filming and in 2-3 years I want to switch to 4k (Full Sensor Readout without Crop).
No way. Canon is patenting already a lot of mirror less innovations. Actually is switching late to this new technology comparing with its competitors. There won't be mark 3. Even there are no many changes between mark I and ii.
I really, really love it. It gets even better as they update the firmware. Silent shutter high speed burst with eye detection was a nice addition, as well as eye detection for video. 👌👌🤙

I disagree with the eos r being bad on battery life. I think your settings might have contributed to that. The gps being on all the time on the 6d mkii was more of a draw from my experience.

I have the 6D II in 2025 and use it to shoot exclusively time-lapses. It may not shoot 4K video but it's easy to turn my time-lapses into 4K.

The tamron SP 35mm and 85mm lenses are really, really good for the price.

You will need better lenses to take advantage of FF :). THey are bigger & more expensive.

The R will set you up for success. Others are capable, but not as good in low light, and don’t have an evf. Where do you buy gear from?

Hi there, I am a photographer wanting to upgrade my game and go to the next level. I shoot with a Canon 250D but am looking into a new one. I am battling back and forth between a 6d mark ii and 5d mark iv. Do you have any advice ?

Nooo eos r is Bad in batterylife 😩 i make the same sold 6dmarkii for Sony and Never be so happy as with the 6d markii or eos r and much other .
I disagree with the eos r being bad on battery life. I think your settings might have contributed to that. The gps being on all the time on the 6d mkii was more of a draw from my experience.

EBay = fool me once..... I haven’t used Ebay since 2005, after being scammed out of $2000 I’ve never dealt with them again! And told everyone who I know and anyone who brought it up in a conversation. The way I see it, me and Ebay are almost even now, but I’ll keep badmouthing them forever, just out of principle.

Well I don’t know how eBay was back in 2005 but now a days I’m pretty sure it’s geared more towards the buyer with all the protection they offer.
Probably saved about $6-7K dollars on used eBay photography equipment. Never burned once. Just gotta know how to bid and who to buy from.
