I’ve never seen someone sitting the battered food on a surface before coating it with the dry mixture before 😂 Personally, I would’ve battered the apple and immediately drop it onto the dry mixture and then on a cookie sheet or whatnot. Just a thought!
Hi MacKenna, have you tried them yet? :) If not: this is your friendly reminder because sometimes things get lost in the heat of everyday life and it takes someone else to remind you of your goals. Also please don't take this the wrong way, it is obviously only your decision as an adult person if and when you want to try them. Have a great day!
The first thing I cooked in this unit was bone-in skin-on chicken thighs (see picture) ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxD4Qeo-HRLxMfom_PDinM_SBfes00qJsB I used the recommended setting after shaking them in a gallon Ziploc with a flower and various rubs and spices mixture, then spraying lightly with canola oil. They turned out nice and crisp, and quite tasty. I am impressed. The recipe book looks like it will give good ideas; I look forward to using this further. It does not stink like burning plastic as some reviews said, and yes, there is a running fan - that's how it works! - but it is not overly obtrusive. I then tried a frozen deep-dish mini pizza. The bottom crust did not get as crispy as I would like; I will experiment with the settings, and maybe apply a bit of cooking oil to the underside crust. It got to where the top was starting to burn, so I had to stop the cooking, but was still edible.
Seeing as I don't have an air fryer but do have an apple slicer that gives me trouble, I say thanks to you. Video was entertaining, reading your comment below the video taught me something. :)
This is a genuine question, but why? Do they work better than a conventional fan oven? So far the only pro I can see to them is that they use less electricity, but given that my oven is already a small counter top one, I'm not seeing that I'd gain much there. And my kitchen is small, so I don't want to give more counter space/ storage space to something that won't bring me much.
@@Lorrissyoutube i have both. The airfryer is faster and if you make snacks you deep fry in there its healthier and its better cooked than in the air oven.
Thank you so much for featuring my Apple Crisp Slices and so glad you liked them. I have several more Air Fryer desserts if you want to try (Cinnamon Sugar Pumpkin Spice Donuts, Apple Fritters, Apple Pie Roll Ups and more): everydayshortcuts.com/category/easy-recipes/air-fryer/
Baking with Josh And Ange has a GREAT no-fry fried ice cream recipe! Josh basically fries up the coating first and then coats the ice cream balls, re-freezes them and then serves them with a drizzle of honey. SO GOOD!!!
Watching your air fryer videos has helped me decide to get one. I wasn't sure, but now I am. And I vote for Christopher's pick, Fryer Tuck is a great name!
I make the rings very similar and use pancake mix for the coating. The fry them in oil and then when hot toss them in cinnamon brown sugar. Sooooo good.
I just really love this channel Saturday is becoming my favorite day of the week. I had a thought for the apple crisps maybe a drizzle of homemade caramel sauce over top will be amazing!
With the ice cream, use a scoop, put in a toothpick or popsicle stick to make it easier for rolling, cover with plastic wrap or put in a tightly sealed container - when you the 3 station breading, do the flour (and I would recommend adding cayenne pepper to the flour since the dish is originally from Mexico) then egg, then back in flour, then egg and cornflakes or panko. I wouldn't recommend freezing them again as the outside will become soggy, just pop them in the pre heated air fryer.
Ok loving these hope the come out good. I live my air frier but just use it for pre made stuff tatter tots, pizza rolls chicken patties ya know lol all the stuff you try and hide from your kids there for your eating them in the middles of the night!! Haha
I'm new w the air fryer. I came across your vlog..omg girl..you make me laugh. I thoroughly enjoy watching you do this! Then watching you both sample! I love your humor!!! I'll be looking for more , please don't stop!
BANANA WITH HONEY!!! Peel a banana split it “hot dog style into 4 slices and then put in the air fryer for 5 minutes on 250 depending on your air fryer. It’s so sweet and warm I love it!!
So getting a ridiculously loud air fryer so when you want your fried treats you have to lock in your basement to cook and run up and down the stairs every time it's done so you balance your calorie intake...smart
TIP: when dealing with frozen desserts, pre-chill the plate/pan/bowl you are putting the frozen dessert on/in in order to slow down the melting process. 🍧🍨🍦
Blueberry Poptarts are my favorite. Blueberry Jam, Blueberry Pie, Blueberry cheesecake, Blueberry Muffins. All the blueberry things. PS... I'm team Fryer Tuck. Great suggestion Jessica!
Thank you Rachel for the apple recipes. We were given 30lbs of apples and now I'm trying to find ways to use them up. I'm going to have to try these. Have a great week.
*I like that I can "fry" something on a whim! An oil fryer takes so much more time to clean and prepare **MyBest.Kitchen** a chore which usually kept me from frying all together. Also, the lack of needing oil to fry means that my family and I are eating healthier... while still enjoying the crispiness of fried foods.*
I take a tortilla and give it a thin layer of butter on one side then cut it into triangles and sprinkle on cinnamon and sugar. I air dry it for just a couple of min at about 360 (2-3 min, just enough to crisp). While they are cooking I chop up some strawberries into small “salsa” size pieces and poof, dessert chips and dip that my kid loves.
I have also enjoyed using the flaky biscuit style, air frying first, then brushing with melted butter and dipping in a cinnamon sugar mix. Not a true donut, but delicious regardless and hits the spot for an easy treat.
I found a recipe for little mini apple pies an the biscuit dough. You can make the mixture for apple pies then you put a spoonful of the filling in the middle of the biscuit an seal it shut. An then repeat. Depending on your air fryer I set mine at 300 degrees for about 9 mins. Maybe 4 at a time. It was good
These apple rings are a staple german dessert. Our dough is a little bit thicker and we fry it in a pan. Also we put the cinnamon sugar on afterwards. You know what goes very nicely with that? Vanilla ice cream!
My favorite Chinese food restaurant makes their donuts with the flaky biscuits and they are to die for, it was my absolute favorite thing to eat when i was pregnant
Your last Airfryer video popped up on my feed the other day, I guess because I was Google searching Airfryer, trying to figure out which size would be best and price comparisons from different stores. And then you upload another 1 🥺 I'm also so inlove with my airfryer already. Made the French toast the same night I got it Lol and again the next morning 😋 I am definitely trying the apple crumble slices. It reminds me of these date squares I once made, it had a crumbly Oat crust
I laughed so hard when Chris said yep and walked off with the ice cream 😂
Yea that was the best part tbh
Yeahhhhhh rightttt me toooooo

As someone who used to work at Edible Arrangements, when using the apple slicer it's easier to do it when the apple is upside down. Try it!

Oh that’s so cool! I want to visit Quebec one day 😁

The franglais is honestly 10/10. It's pretty much the level of French I've retained from college 😂
I'm a French speaking girl from Qc and honestly she knows more that I thought the average canadian remembers lol
