Using the glut! Rhubarb jam. Is there any difference between jam sugar and powdered pectin?

Following on from my MASSIVE haul of rhubarb from the garden I'm making jam. This time I'm experimenting with using powdered pectin byt making two batches (one with powdered pectin and normal sugar, the other with jam sugar). Will there be any difference in taste?
