Cheers to good mead , we just subscribed after your video found us. We love to make mead , wine and beer on our channel and others . Stay thirsty and make good mead.
Hi love. I’ve just found your channel so I’m going to spend a while watching all your previous videos 👍. Quick question, do you have your demijohn standing in a bowl / tray? First fermentations can be very vigorous and messy 😮 .Forgive me if I’m preaching to the converted. Bet your shed smelt amazing 😂. Ros 🐝
Thanks for commenting. The workbench is covered with a metal tray (the kind you get in the bottom of dog cages) as it’s where my son melts wax to make his candles. So there is something to catch any mess. It’s fermenting pretty well now, not too much froth at the minute 😊
The shed smelt pretty delicious, yes. I can’t wait for it to be done so I can try it.
Mmm, I'm jealous of your honey, we have tried bees 3 times.... last batch were killed by giant hornets... I love bees so we will probably try again.
We only planned to get a couple of hives a few years ago. We’ve got nearly 30 now! No advice on giant hornets as they aren’t a problem here but definitely try again, it’s so rewarding to get your own honey.
@@SpottyDuckhomestead We just got some more bees, it's hard to not have them around ;)
