      @@David_Vander_Vliet I was trying to get smoother throttle response and deal with stalling issues with the bike. Some people have some success with just turning up the idle however I had put a rekluse radius CX on the bike and when you turn the idle up with a rekluse it messes up how that operates.

    I know it’s a different culture in Texas than here in Canada and I don’t fault anyone for it, but the whole purple to warn people that if you set foot on their land that they can just blast you without question is so foreign to me. Then the resident you mentioned who told you to “go back the way you came”.
    Where I’m from there was a guy who owned a big plot of land that had great access to fly fishing on a river. Friends of mine would walk right through his property and two things happened. 1) He said, “You’re more than welcome to go through here. Just try not to park in the way of my driveway.” 2) Then he spent his own time to clear trees and flatten out some land to make a little parking lot for them to use.
    Awesome looking trails though! Bet you had fun!

      Being originally from near Medicine Hat it's a bit nuts to me as well but yeah in Texas you look for purple. Even though the locals were a bit... Touchy the area to ride in was pretty beautiful and the 450RL was on point.

      I love in California, first I have heard of the purple thing good to know. Each state is really like its own little country in a lot of ways.

      So this was so odd to me I had to go back and do some research. Apparently purple paint just means the same as a no trespassing sign in Texas. So it doesn't necessarily mean anyone's going to shoot you any more than a sign that says stay off my property or you get in trouble. But they dohave the right to shoot you so....yeah. be respectful

      Seeing the inside of my house would have probably sent you into convulsions then, we ended up having nearly every room in the house ripped up and giant holes cut in it to jack up our foundation then that destroyed all of our plumbing under the house so we had a ton more holes cut in the slab in holes dug under the house. We've literally only had one functioning bathroom a kitchen and one-bedroom for the last 6 months. Bought a house in October and finally in April we just had the floors finished. ***Edit*** If you have ever watched the money pit it's the house I bought...

    In England we have a yearly MOT ( check to see if the bikes road worthy ) what do you have in America and with mods on the bike what's the laws

    • @stoplogicmotorsports
      @stoplogicmotorsports  5 місяців тому +1

      Well that largely depends on what state you're in. Here in Texas to be roadworthy you have to have dot rated tires, a headlight, a tail light, a brake light that can operate for at least 10 minutes, a horn, and 1 mirror. Other states like California and New York require that your bike has all the finery of any average dual sport bike along with a completely unaltered emission system which would include any sort of exhaust or ECU mods.

    • @stoplogicmotorsports
      @stoplogicmotorsports  5 місяців тому +1

      In some of my older videos to really drive the point home of how easy it is to make bikes street legal here in Texas I had a 1996 RM 125 2 stroke that I powered a dual sport kit with a drill battery.

      @@stoplogicmotorsports I luv that bike tho- and nice riding.
      I would just need to put the 1200$ stock muffler back on or buy a new X exhaust for $2000.
      The X exhaust is Exactly the same 80decibals at idle as the stock exhaust but the X muffler is 5 pounds lighter and a bit more free flowing than the stock due to having no catalytic converter.
      it’s really strange how quiet they can get theses bikes-
      And it’s odd how so many people intentionally make them louder for a few extra HP’s.

When everything was said and done I believe I shaved close to 12 lb off the bike, I wasn't winning many races with any bike I'm kind of like a serial tinkerer I like to experiment with stuff to see what I can do with it. I've got some interesting stuff coming up with the KDX once I get the power valve issue sorted.
