What time
I played the closed beta a while back. Game was extremely clunky and the visual effects made it so you couldn't see what was happening. Hoping to see a big improvement

MY biggest worry is that the characters do not learn any skills at all. I didn't see anything in the trailer (menus) where you can switch character skills. So in a way your character is the final build from start to finish. Equipments grant what? mostly passive and stats. And costume since there is only 1 slot means, it replaces at most 1 skill/ultimate? Damn the game looked really good until I tried the beta and now I think this game is not it unless I'm proven wrong by someone.
That's exactly how it is. The reasoning they give to set skills is that it incentivises like a MOBA-like game play loop with different characters filling out different niches. When playing the Beta, I do kinda understand it since all the characters I've played thus far have vastly different play styles. From my understanding there's a way to give one extra passive from a different character to another one if you have sufficiently mastered the character (I.E have 30 ranks in that specific character).
Really wish free roam was also a single player mode
The online only modes are going to kill this game. There will be days soon when accomplishments or boss battles will be unplayable due to a lack of players. When a new game appears, it needs more solo focus with missions that are doable with either solo scaling or multiplayer scaling. I hear there is a cpu that can fill the spots if no one is playing, so that may fix some issues. Hopefully, the story mode is more expansive and not short just to fill the roster for online. We will see...
I do agree with your sentiments, they do have the free roam as well which is solo so there's to solo options
It would be better to do it like granblue fantasy relink or gundam breaker 4 where we can do almost everything both online and offline
Brother this is why people like you shouldn't be commenting on posts because you're just blatantly stating shity opinions instead of looking into any facts did you watch the trailer for more than 59 seconds before you realize that there's a story mode like every sao game did you also realize that they announced the story mode in a story mode trailer well before they even started announcing characters did you also know that this game's game model is based off of a live service version of grand blue fantasy relink also this being an Sao game we know that bare minimum it's guaranteed to season passes and we have no idea how big said passes are going to be we know one characters already announced so again you need to think about what you say because if you even took more than 2 seconds to look anything up or do any research and think for yourself instead of regurgitating some worthless throwaway opinion you would have known all of this instead of sounding like an incompetent child
Aren't there bots in the online quests? Lycoris was perfectly doable solo with the AI
@@cpard2d2 in the beta there where only bots due to the weird time slots and it was closed so limited people split between the 2 game modes the online only mode is meant for PVP I don't understand why this is hard for you guys to understand the only difference we have here in this game apposed to like fatal bullet is fatal bullet had a whole a lobby with story and had multi player as an extra thing this game just doesn't have the lobby world supposedly we don't know yet but it has a story mode and a fully built multiplayer on top of it that's the only difference
oooh, i like the sound of free roam. I also find myself somewhat curious of the story (even with my dislike for mainline SAO).
While i think it's all but confirmed, i'm holding off buying until i see my girl Pitohui.

Online only modes are a huge loss for when the player base numbers and the servers support drop.
Like they could do it like fatal bullet/gundam breaker or gbf relink where we could choose to play the game either single or online multiplayer but they decided to turn into paid live service game
I would've loved to just coop through the whole game with my gf since she loves SAO, but if the story is singleplayer only and coop stuff is just limited to certain quests and 4 players are required I don't think it's that interesting.

I hope the bosses in the online mode scale with howany.players you have. Because it will suck when you can only have like 8 players but the boss is still scaled for 20 players. I feel. Furthermore I hope the story is actually decently long and expensive and not like a 4 hour thing.

@@Opartox i meant it more as in players leaving the game early or more like the barrier to entry is too high for a lot of people. After playing the beta im much more positive on the game, i just think the 60$ price tag may be too much for many

Weird he got relegated as a Mage this time while Alice is the tank, normally he's stuck in as the tank and Alice as some DPS/Mage hybrid
@@kimoota-kun honestly the game look pretty but it lack thing, like multiple role for character ( asuna was a healer in alo with some skills point in dps for exemple ) and also having no character custom while every other sao game have it feel lacking
