  • This is a special Mother's Day episode, all about surrender. Motherhood has been a sanctifying journey for me, so I'm sharing some personal stories today and LOTS of Biblical encouragement for you, no matter where you are in life.
I dive into the topic of having my tattoos removed, and what inspired that choice. I share how God has grown me through pregnancy and motherhood, and I also share an exciting announcement! These are all experiences that point me back to the theme of surrender in my life. A theme that we are all called to in God's kingdom - may these stories and scriptures encourage you to surrender that next thing which you're white-knuckle gripping right now.
    Scriptures referenced in this episode:
    James 4:1-10
    Leviticus 19:28
    Psalm 23

I'm really struggling over my career path that just fell apart out of nowhere. I can't blame the pandemic because I saw it slipping away starting 2017. I truly believe I was a top- notch employee for the vast majority of my life of Iam to believe my performance reviews and comments. Then God just let it die. Now, I grew up quite poor. Definitely so when compared to my peer groups. I grew up with the hustle in me to climb out of that and I pretty much did. Barely. Then, poof. But the hustle, the hunger, the ambition doesn't just vanish like my prospects did, and that is a horrible feeling. I wish I knew what I'm supposed to be doing now. I am working remotely for far less money, and that has really humiliated me tbh.

“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me." John 15:1-4 I am always encouraged by John 15 when it feels like things aren't going the way I expected them to - God has a greater plan - He shuts and opens doors for us, gives us His Word as a lamp unto our feet (Psalm 119:105), and knows the bigger picture that we can't see. God bless all the ways you are being obedient to His plan!
