Thank you for the kind words. Glad I triggered that nostalgia of the rabbit. Underappreciated boxy little things. Nothing better than a highly tuned gti🙂
@pawelkarpinski7961 I find it interesting that many people have show a dislike for sloping top tubes and more upright geometry. It's almost as if the was a time when MTB was fun and a time when it got too serious. And they want the fun back.
Definitely turned out great! The color is perfect … reminds me of my old ‘82 VW Rabbit😂

Very nice indeed! I have a red Kuwahara Shasta I picked up cheap with Bio-Pace chainrings. I'm going to fix it up for a friend.
Thank you. Good luck on the project. I love how practical these old frames still are. For me its the hallmark of good design.
@@TheUndeadMechanic thanks, it should be a fun quick project. I agree with the design. I love the lugged frame.
Beautiful Kuwahara, Classic 80s .
Thanks. Im sure the new owner will be proud.
I have similar Dia-Compe brakes on my ‘89 Shogun Trail Breaker that is more for just cruising around & work just fine for my use.
Yep. With those big levers its easy to put some real pressure. There is an old trail breaker for sale here and I was considering it for a project.
Well done!
Thank you, sir.
52t on mtb as oem, o what a time!
🤣 so true. It was obvious the industry was still figuring it out and the component manufacturers weren't there yet.
this will be hot!
I think you will like it.
@@TheUndeadMechanic Personally I ride slack geometry, pre 1990s MTB frames. So it will be very interesting to me. :-)

What exact bar is that?
It's the factory bar made by nitto.
Nicely done, those brakes are not very zen ,adjustment wise😅
Yep. Zen is what you need to be 🤣. I realized this video is10 minutes longer than all my other video just because of the brakes😅
