Could you get Pidcock on? What a career that kid has had while being so young and so early in his career. Still in awe and wonderment at those descending skills, the tour stage win, the Olympics and his Cross prowess.
She is great, very humble and extremely funny. She’s also a true cycling nerd, you can ask her about any race of the past and she knows everything… 🤯 insane!
@@gcn we interviewed her during the pandemic, with the idea of keeping the cycling fans connected with their “heroes” in a period where there were no races. Apparently I can’t link the video interview, but it’s under the “FantaGiro2020” account.
Standout champion Elisa is, always love watching her race with so much passion. Great when she wins, great when she helps a teammate win. A true allrounder!
Wow Manon! You did it again! You hooked me, an unracer with this amazing interview. Elisa is truly astonishing and you put her at ease so she could articulate well. I will watch ANY video do with pro women! More please! (When you aren't sprinting for Town Signs! LOL)
Fantastic interview, love Manon too, she is so lovely treating guests with respect but having a laugh too, Elisa is a lovely person clearly loves her sport
Thank you for bringing Elisa to us in this video. I always look out for her in the races, she always gives 100% and never sits in. She can definitely sprint, not like a stone. Grazie
When you said "but first let me run through her palmares" I thought, "well this is either going to be a really long video or a very short interview." Elisa is fantastic!
GCN is doing a stellar job at putting women’s cycling on, a more than deserved, spotlight. It’s such joy to listen to an absolute legend of the sport like ELB
What an excellent interview! Congrats to Manon and Elisa. I remember watching a race where Elisa towed another rider many km to the finish, only, and inevitably, to be beaten in the sprint. Elisa is what I call an honest racer.
Brava Elisa!
When I started cycling a good club rider gave me some great advice - don't focus so much on the latest gadgets, just get out and ride! I have followed that advice and love the sport
Please, do more of these interviews with women cyclists! It would be great to grasp in what aspects women's peloton differs from the men's one. Thanks!
Great interview! Is it my imagination, or do I hear the women pros more often talk about supporting their teammates and, in general, show more respect to their peers across the peloton, in comparison to the men? And how might that affect team management and strategies?
You can never have enough interviews with WWT pros. They are amazing and deserve all the promotion they can get. Also, Longo Borghini is awesome because she likes 40/20s.
Great to see Girona. A city that I love. My brother got married there and I have many friends there. You have totally raised a hankering to get back soon. Will have to visit Lá Fabrica and check out some of that dark matter that binds the universe.
great interview. Trek have a wonderful team this year. Someone for every type of event or finish. So much cycling talent; and all comfortable doing the media stuff. Who else to interview. Someone who hasn't done many interviews - maybe Marta Cavali....FDJ are an interesting team with Grace, Cecili and Marta all with a similar skill set. Lorena Wiebes would be interesting now she is on a new team.
This is a long shot, but would it be possible to get Elisa on a GCN Training session? She is such a nice person! She could make us all a bit more all-around cyclists. 😉
Why do I consider myself an all-rounder. First I'm almost forty, ride in crap weather(cold etc.) go up ridiculously steep hills forcefully, am 180 pounds(should be 170lbs. another story) I have no sponsorship and the terrain where I live is difficult. I like what the lady said about not being the fastest lol...consistency and the quality of miles(difficulty etc.) is important I feel.
I'd love to see chloe as well but dn't think anyone would wanna touch her after her controversy plus she's pro christian. nice list though, i'd add puck pieterse, her youtube channel is funny and she has fun personality.
Climbing, (specially) time trialing and endurance can be trained. Sprinting ability is a different animal, as it involves recruitment of fast-twitch muscle fibers. Genetics play a major role here.
Climbing, sprinting or time trialing? Am I the only one who just enjoys riding my bike from A to B and soaking up the scenery while staying fit-ish? I do not sprint nor time trial and I only climb when I have to or want to see the view.
Which other pro riders do you want us to interview next? 👇

@@AlbertBuckinghamEllison Pidcock would make a great guest! Not sure we would be able to keep up with him 😂
The other Elisa, Balsamo. Mads P and Toms.
Jay Vine, he's an Aussie up and coming legend!
Elise Chabbey, simply for having done so many sports before ending up in cycling
She is great, very humble and extremely funny. She’s also a true cycling nerd, you can ask her about any race of the past and she knows everything… 🤯 insane!
It's always a good sign when the rider is a huge cycling nerd 🤓 What would you of asked Elisa? 👀

I love that GCN is promoting womens cycling. They need more recognition. Respect.
What a lovely human being, humble, honest, down to earth, generous, grateful, complimentary. What a wonderful asset for any team ✨
Standout champion Elisa is, always love watching her race with so much passion. Great when she wins, great when she helps a teammate win. A true allrounder!
All best riders I met in my life are very humble. She is an amazing rider!!!!
Thanks for this video!! So much respect for ELB as a teammate and competitor. Loved seeing her reaction when Balsamo won worlds in '21.
This was a wonderful interview format.

She's great! We loved sitting down with Elisa! Who would you like us to talk to next?
This is a really good format, and Manson seems to get good responses from her subjects. This is such a good, and important, series of videos IMO.
Congratulations on the stage 3 winner 🎉

There are some really simple, but really really good questions in this.
Lovely. "First I have to climb up...with all the tiny ones." Hilarious.
I love this lady. So wonderful!

great interview. thanks.
I love getting to see a bit of the person behind the amazing pro racers in these interviews -- thanks GCN!

Great video, I don't normally like the interview ones but this was very informative and interesting!
That's high praise indeed! Would you like to see more interviews on the channel? If so who from? 👀

Another banger from GCN. Love these interviews, great stuff Manon ❤
Great profile of an amazing athlete
Great interview
Podium she did haha. excellent interview GCN crew!
Yes finally Elisa!
So many rides are popular with there own teammates but Elisa seems to be very popular with almost all the rides on all the teams.
Great to get to know the riders in the women pro tour! Thanks!
I would have never thought I could say this, but I can now claim that my cycling talent is the same as Dan Lloyd's 🍻

What about a chat with Annemiek van Vleuten?

... and Dan? Just beer 🤣
she won the stagee
I would have thought Hank's best at not being killed by GCN
Chloe Dygert
Marta Cavalli
Cecille Ludvig
Maud Oudeman
Dygert would be interesting, although she is very introverted. I'm not sure if she or we would like that.

Have thought what would happen if Manon spent a day with Alison Jackson?! That would be awesome to see!
Me, I do.

I'm definitely an all rounder.
Good at absolutely nothing
A slim wallet.
What makes a great all round cyclist? Lots of money.
