The metal work on that sand scorcher is mind-blowing. Forums are still by far the superior media for sharing/following these detailed builds, which is why it's so upsetting to watch them lose traffic to Facebook and other garbage apps.
Wow, super flattered!! So many amazing builds!!! How cool, yes video will post soon, I took a break from it for a bit, now back to finishing the interior, then a working video. Thanks Matthew, Happy New Year!!!
Dang!!! All are amazing!!! My personal favorite is the orange blazer. It perfectly represents builds from Offroad Design. A member of our off road club had a blue blazer that he built with parts from them!!!
Scott Lempert is a genius.... I just bought one of his RC hotrods and that yellow thing is a marvel to behold! He was the one who inspired me to start building myself and he is a super nice dude!
So many amazing builds. I have a hpi venture kit here that is un opened. I will have to look through the forums and get some ideas. Thanks for the excellent video as always.
The VW at the end is an amazing piece of work. I've been working on a custom built flatbed for a 65 Chevy C10 Proline cab on an upgraded SCX10.1. It's my first RC but turning out to have a few cool features. But, It's clear I need to learn to weld, especially small aluminum, to make really interesting stuff. Very nice job VW guy, your work is amazing!
Maybe this should be one of resolutions! I need to hop on the SBG forum more! I LOVE seeing everyones craftsmanship. That community is amazingly talented!
New Year resolution for me is to try some new to me building techniques, love learning new things. I agree there is no replacement for a forum and SBG is top notch! So many awesome builds there and congrats to all the members who let the creative juices flow. The Scorcher build is unbelievable, so awesome to follow the progress, very inspiring! Thanks for putting the annual compilation together, always a fun episode and feel honoured to make the list this year, thank you!
Amazing work from all. Love LoopOnes Volvo Suggs, but the metal work of the fab1Tens sand scorcher makes me feel I need to work on a workshop. Love the seats
Happy New Year SBG and to all! Fantastic builds! The SBG forum is a great place to find the inspiration to start new builds! Many great builders and designers to be found there!
Awesome video Matt! Every one of those builds were absolutely incredible! I've got total respect for all the builders and fabricators in this hobby and hope to eventually get there too! 👏👏👏👏
"Went back in the video library..and to check out the " Best Scale Rc Builds in 2021"video...to check out the "Same shirt"....and damn..it WAS indeed the same shirt!"giggles"!! Happy new year ,mister SBG :) Greetings from Norway ,Stefan
So much talent on the SBG forums for so many years. I’ve been a lurker for well over a decade (I think my RCC login goes back to 2002?! I would’ve found SBG around that time as well, assuming it was live. PardonMyNoob lured me over…). I think 2023 is the year I start posting some of my builds.
2023 is the year I Break the Budget and get back into Sim Racing with a Direct Drive wheel and pedal setup, Building a Zen9 7900x, Asus Strix X670E-A Mobo, 32Gb DDR5, and a Nvidia 3060ti FE, all on a Samsung Galaxy G9 Neo. Oh sorry you meant RC ? ha ha M-08 Escort to start 2023 and I have everything for a VS4-10 GroundFox LCG using the Builders Bundle I got for Xmas, except the Body. I am thinking of the new Proline Volkswagen. After that I have a Frankenstein build converting a Halo Warthog toy into an RC Crawler using my 3D printer and the many leftover parts from upgrades to my various 1/10 trucks. Then there is that TT-02 on the shelf for ? who knows ?? Maybe a Traxxas Slash Ultimate in the spring as an early B-day present for myself. Wishing all A good year in 2023
I have a wpl c14 body on a c54-1 chassis and I am turning into a trail truck, it has been modified lightly, with all steel and bearings internals 2 speed transmission. ESC upgrade 30A Trurbo racing4 channel receiver Axles are steel gears Metal pumpkins Plastic axle housing Steel steering On stock plastic axle housing. Metal drive shafts. And much more.
So much amazing work. That Volvo is amazing. It is cool seeing a hpi get used for sure. Happy new years man. Can't wait to see what you create for 2023. 😎👍👍
Happy New Year to everyone.Fab 1 most definitely did a fantastic job with all the metal work hope it doesn’t get covered with paint and hide all that beautiful metal work.
Happy New Year's Matt!! Thanks for everything you do and I'm looking forward to seeing what you inspire us with in 2023. This video is a great start. Lots of fantastic work by the members of SBG to motivate me to get to my projects! Take care!
Happy New Year to you as well! Hopefully, it'll be a year of laughs and maybe I'll talk about my knife 1-1000 times 😂. Luckily, my wife doesn't watch my videos, or she'd be so sick of that joke, she might stab me with it 😂.
Epic builds!. If you build you gotta check out the SBG forums. Always something to learn and try. My only problem is the timescale, I can’t finish anything in a year 😂
Wow, wow, wow!!!! The inspiration and intimidation altogether in one is crazy!!! I am currently working on a little something (I’ve mentioned before) that is requiring way more fabb-ing than I’m comfortable with on a small scale. It’s challenging but lots and lots of fun. I’m hesitant to share at this point because I don’t have large chunks of time to dedicate to it right now so it gets little spurts of time here and there. When I can get a good push on it one of these days and get lots done I’ll jump on the forum and post some pics. I just really hope I’m not wasting my time. Ha ha!!! Thanks for the end of year vid and Happy New Year ya Canuck!! Keep your stick on the ice…or paddle tires in the snow…or something.
Love all your videos. I have yet to buy me a crawler but looking to get one in the coming weeks. I would love to see a video of what you think the best rtr crawler is out of the box versus which one you would pick if you was going to modify it. I know I will do simple mods (servos, wheel and tires, and esc) but not sure how far I will go, just depends on how hooked I get. once again thank you for all the great information and entertainment.
Mine, to grow my channel.... which means actually building stuff and reducing the boxes of NIB kits. Also detailing more of the cars/trucks I have. Also, need to fire up the PC more and post on SBG Forum. I have a couple scratch builds in mind too... Here's to you and 2023.
Happy new year Matt!! Resolution for 2023.. stop ignoring my old skool Tamiya’s and get them up and running…. Oh and push hard on my not so great channel 😢😂 keep up the great work 👌🏼👌🏼
The metal work on that sand scorcher is mind-blowing. Forums are still by far the superior media for sharing/following these detailed builds, which is why it's so upsetting to watch them lose traffic to Facebook and other garbage apps.
Agreed, same goes with companies for me. I rarely if ever buy from a company that is facebook only
Fab110 should get build of the decade! Every time I see a new build post, it’s absolutely insane!!!
The second one you showed is a great showcase of how many damn shifters K30 has.
That Toyota 6x6 , the sand scorcher, and the volvo are particularly impressive. I especially love the bed full of miniature rc car boxes .
You and me both!
SBG Forum always putting out the highest quality builds. Everyone featured is so talented
I am humbled you highlighted my FunBringer build! Thank you, amazing builds as always on SBG!
Awesome build sir!
You shouldn't feel humbled, you rightfully deserve to be in the Top 10! Happy New Year!
