As i sead earlier. The big box you have do not deliver PD charging. With PD charging you allow your phone to charge with higher voltage. Up to around 20 volt and 1.5A. 20V x 1.5A = 30W. iPhone also slow down charging at the end for protecting the battery. So if you want to try fast charge a iPhone, use an real PD charger and charge the phone when the battery prosentage is lower.

The iphone is charged to 84% when you plug in the first cable. I think the charging rate is pretty slow already when you hit 80%. Probably should've tried it with the phone at 20% or so to really see anything useful.

I did that before making this video. I had charging optimization turned off.

@@jeradtech I was more referring to the idea that battery can accept higher charging rates at lower states of charge. Any phone at 84% will be limited on how fast it can charge independent of the charger voltage.

@@jeradtechthe charge rate from 0-80 is always faster than from 80-100 due to how charge moves in the battery. As charge gets fuller the resistance gets higher and the charge rate slows down. Its just how physics work, not some settings in the phone.
Its like in a parking lot. At first the charges can find an empty spot really quick nearby but as the spaces are taken up, the time it takes to find a free spot is higher.
A fair test would be to charge from 0 to a certain percentage and not have varied starting points.

I recently noticed that my apple USBC tip is more slim than an Anker usbc cable I bought. I'm not sure why the Anker has more vertical height but I noticed that the apple cable fits my iPhone and Samsung phones more tightly and snug than the Anker. I only noticed the differences because my Anker snaps in kind of wonky to the Samsung phone. Did you ever notice anything I just described?

Yes , i have iphone 15 and the usbc from box feels like it doesnt fit correct in the port , there is some kind of space to move cable.

I think the big box you have not deliver PD charging. I keep seeing 5V all the time at the load. With PD charger you allow the phone to draw more voltage. I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max and a Satechi 165W PD charger and my phone charges with up to 30W peak. So i think you'r setup here is wrong.

Yeah these tests are not valid. Terrible testing methodology.

my question is that, is it safe to charge my iphone with google pixel stock cable?

    Hello, one quick question please
I have an audio interface USB 2.0
    Type C - C
It requires a cable that supports data transfer. I was shopping for Anker cable and there are like 100s of options which made me totally lost. Any recommendations please 😊

Considering you were a big fan of the Google Glass I would love to see a review video from what you think of the new Meta Ray Ban Smart Glasses.

I have considered buying them but it’s a lot of money for essentially a Facebook camera, plus I’d need prescription lenses for them.

You're doing the tests wrong. Apple trickle charge will limit the power draw after 80%. So your numbers are all scrambled and that's why you got 0 draw in one cable. Cheers,

Fastest charging speeds will be with phone on the lowest battery percentage.
