📲 Just realized I cut out my own MagSafe comment at the beginning 🤦🏼♂️ I tested all the cases on my HiRise Deluxe 3 MagSafe stand, Belkin MagSafe Car Charger, and ESR MagSafe Wallet. All cases here performed similarly, and the magnet strength is similar to Apple’s own cases.
I’m struggling with the open bottom of the Ryan London case. I realize that leather cases are NOT iPhone shatter proof. Does it matter if the bottom is open if you drop it, or does it not matter because of the lip around the rest of the phone. Trying to decide between minimalist and contemporary so please help 😮
Thanks Stephen ! I took your advice and ordered the Ryan London case in black for my 15 pro. And let me tell you I can't thank you enough. It just feels so good , way way better than Apple's previous leather cases. As for the open bottom not only is it functional but also makes the phone look sexier and shows off some of that titanium beauty. Ryan London has also just announced an alternate design with a closed bottom and a metal frame around the camera. But I think I'm going to stick to the classical design. With either one of these designs I don't think you'll be disappointed. Great leather, fit and workmanship.
I really like the decoded and mujjo case, which one would you recommend? Is the mujjo really thinner than the decoded? I’ll attach a MagSafe wallet to the case so thinness is kinda important to me. Thanks!
Great video. I have the decoded detachable. It supports MagSafe devices whilst the iPhone is inside the detachable folio too. First time I’ve seen this on a detachable folio. 10/10 to Decoded👍🏻
I have both and here are a few things to note. Ryan has a stronger odor Ryan has a year warranty but not for any damage caused by the user Ryan can be personalized with names at the bottom portion Bullstrap texture is rougher which makes it grippier Bullstrap has a lifetime warranty Bullstrap is eligible for up to 2 cosmetic replacements per year Negatives, RL is cheaper but shipping is long for US users. BS is expensive but shipping is quicker for US. Both has magsafe ring but no alignment magnet (line below magsafe) Overall, they are both good, but I prefer BS for its warranty/replacement policy
Great video - thanks so much! Between the Ryan London and the Bullstrap, can you say which one is slimmer? And does one have a deeper lip on the screen side?

Natural titanium looks good in pretty much any color, but I’m a brown leather kind of guy. They’re very similar, and if bullstrap comes faster I’d go for it.
I just ordered the bull strap in dune for my natural titanium. Paid $72 shipped after discounts. Can’t wait for it to arrive. On pictures this combo looks amazing.

How was your experience with the fit of the Decoded leather case? Did you find it hard to put the phone in or take it back out? I got mine yesterday for my 15 Pro and I find it super hard to put the phone in, so much so that I’m concerned it might scratch the black titanium coating.
Thanks for the info. Awesome video by the way! I reached out to the Decoded team about it, I’m hoping it’s just a matter of breaking the leather in for a while, and that it will eventually stretch out enough to allow a better fit and less friction on the sides.
I’m also a big fan of the metal look around the camera and buttons. That clay Decoded looks really nice. The white Andar looks great too, but a cut out for the action button is a big no for me.
@navigatormp Yeah I saw that they updated for some colors. However the white one is out of stock atm, hoping to see it come back in stock with the action button. I dislike the black border around the camera present on the other colors

Omg Andar 😅 so I bought the Blanc a week ago, got it last week. It’s awesome, I just wish it had that button. They gave me the 50% off code and told me blanc is coming “in a few months”. I’ll even take stone gray if it ever comes to the 15 pro
Had to re watch this again after getting the Bullstrap case. Based off the price, most wouldn’t have it at the number 1 spot. But the fact that you get a very premium leather, many color options, plus a lifetime warranty, is why its at the top for me. I like Blackbrook because they’re actually handmade, with a variety of different finishes. @@beardfm my Ryan London case just arrived! I’m blown away by it. It smells like an expensive pair of leather shoes, fits well, is low profile, has a lip to the screen (even with an ESR screen protector), the buttons click nicely and the packaging is sustainable, simple and personal. You can tell it is hand made too. This is a great example of a small company outdoing all the big brands. Oh, and the price was less than the other options. Anyone on the fence should just get one.
Hi sir, Thank you so much for the info. This is Kiran Kumar from India 🇮🇳 I placed an order for Nomad Horween leather folio case. Is it good? Which is the best Folio case for 15 pro max.
Thanks for the reviews! I’m on the fence now between the Ander, Ryan Johnson, and Nomad. Much to think about. I’m glad I found your reviews, now a subscriber!
Were you able to test the strength of the magnets in these cases with MagSafe accessories? For example with a MagSafe pop socket or MagSafe charging stand.
Yes, I mention at the beginning but I tested with my MagSafe HiRise charging stand, Belkin MagSafe car charger, and ESR MagSafe wallet. All performed about the same, good connection with all accessories.
Amazing video as always, but man, how is Keyway not on this list? Had it since day 1 of my 15PM and it's the best case I've ever slapped an iPhone into.
@beardfm Have you heard of Vaja Cases? I have had many cases from them since iPhone 5. The Argentinian leather is very soft. Highly recommend. Great video by the way.
Thanks! I did and said a few brief things about it, then inadvertently cut it out of the final video 🤦🏼♂️ but they’re all MagSafe compatible with comparable strengths. Works on my nightstand MagSafe charger, Belkin car charger, and ESR MagSafe wallet
I have been listening to the AppleInsider weekly podcast for a while now and just started watching your UA-cam videos recently which I find very informative and insightful. You mentioned the Belroy and Mujjo cases as being the thinnest. Are they lightest and how much do they weigh? I think the Decoded clay case would go well with the natural titanium iPhone.
Thanks! Munro and Bellroy are very light, probably the lightest of the bunch, but the Decoded is very close. I think it would match the natural titanium really well too!
@beardfm I bought a Mujjo and their AirPods Pro case and returned both. The Phone MagSafe was terrible across three different chargers. One in my car, one next to my bed, one in my kitchen. All three released the phone with the slightest bump. Nice cases, but not great for MagSafe. I found the AirPods case to also be very sensitive in placement for wireless charging, so returned it as well.
Thank you for the video. I unfortunately think you missed a huge category with “MagSafe magnets” as the magnet strength varies significantly especially with leather cases. As a MagSafe wallet user, this is important to me. I also don’t think you mentioned this but the bull strap leather feels weird and does not fit the iPhone nearly as well as the others. This could be in large part due to the bottom cutout. I’m not sure why that was such a big deal to you. It’s actually a reason why I wouldn’t get those cases. That’s a massive and expensive part of the iPhone that would be completely unprotected.
I menionted in the intro, I found the MagSafe magnets to be similar strength across all these devices. I tested them on my HiRise 3 Deluxe MagSafe charging stand, Belkin MagSafe Car charger, and with the ESR MagSafe wallet. All performed the same with no major issues. Next time I'll show that kind of testing on camera for sure. And the bottom cutout is a big deal for some people, and they *only* consider those kinds of cases. Finally, I found the Bullstrap case to feel like high quality leather, pretty close to the Ryan London case. The BlackBrook was the most "out there" feeling case, as I mentioned.
Thanks for this review, helps a ton. Not happy you got some cases that are still on pre-order for us mortals LOL Sad Apple stopped making leather cases, they and Ryan London are the only ones that make the camera lens aesthetic I care for. Not a fan of metal or big rings.
Don't care for any of the open cutouts. For me the whole idea of a case is to protect all of the phone not just pieces of the phone. Suede like options are not the most durable. Note to those thinking of Ryan London, they make a version that DOES have a metal camera ring and has nicer looking side buttons for like 7 dollars US more. Much nicer than the one in this video.
I actually took a flyer and bought an InUnion case last week on Amazon for $22. It's pretty great and I think a steal for the price. The build quality is solid, feels good in the hand and is pretty thin.
@@beardfm I got a InUnion case as well and it's amazing especially for the money, you should grab one and review it. I'm surprised how good this case is. It has a Football like leather to it and it has really nice camera ring and buttons.
Man I wish I knew about the Ryan London case before buying the Bullstrap one. I love the case, but not sure it was worth 50% more than the Ryan London which looks almost identical. I got a lifetime warranty, so I guess that's nice?
I’d be worried about dropping the phone on its back and the metal rings transferring the force of the impact directly onto the back glass around the camera bump.
Thank you for your advice. I finally ordered the LUSSOLOOP brand case for my 15 Pro. Although you didn't provide much information about it, I found their website to be beautifully designed. Let me tell you, it feels amazing, and the quality is top-notch. The overall coverage gives me more confidence while using it, as I don't have to worry about accidental drops or scratches on my iPhone 15 Pro. Moreover, compared to other options, it offers great value for the price.
I am not sure if there is a newer version for Mujjo but mine is very bulky. It has square edges and make my 15PM feel like a 14PM. The case is also very thick, the buttons are not in the middle on the side thus the extra thickness imo.

@@beardfm it just changed back to available, so I got my order in! Thanks.
I ended up getting the AirPod case as well. And everybody is now asking where to buy it. It seems like it is sold out but can pre-order now❤
Hi sir, Thank you so much for the info. This is Kiran Kumar from India 🇮🇳 I placed an order for Nomad Horween leather folio case. Is it good?
Which is the best Folio case for 15 pro max.
The Nomad Horween folio is a great case too! Good choice.
Any experience with Torras cases. They have a translucent case.
Hm, I haven't heard of them yet!
Thanks for the reviews! I’m on the fence now between the Ander, Ryan Johnson, and Nomad. Much to think about. I’m glad I found your reviews, now a subscriber!
Appreciate that! If you use the Action Button a lot, just be sure to get a case that has a button for it. Thanks for subscribing!
Thanks! I opted for the nomad horween. I’ll probably get the Ryan Johnson in a few months in a lighter colored leather.
Keeyway: Sold Out
Decoded: Sold Out
Thanks for this review.. My next case is among them for sure. Keep it up!
Thanks! Appreciate it 🙏🏻
Amazing video as always, but man, how is Keyway not on this list? Had it since day 1 of my 15PM and it's the best case I've ever slapped an iPhone into.
And YES! Giveaway please!
haha sorry I did the giveaway this past weekend! And that's the second comment about the Keyway case, will have to try it!
@@beardfm Yeah they're really good. I've tried a TON of other brands, but the Keyway just seems to last longer and patina so beautifully.
Please do one for clear cases!
My new fav channel on UA-cam 😂 keep going!
Thank you! Will do!
Good video, but I don’t know why you excluded the LONLI LEATHER CASE. I bought it on Amazon for $25, and it is terrific.
Another brand I hadn’t heard of until right now!
Take a look at it, and let us know what you think.
I have it on my IPhone 15 PM, it’s really stiff. Ordered the Ryan London after your review. Thanks.
The decoded case looks great. Unfortunately they’re sold out on the 15 pro now. Was curious about the Alcantara since I been getting ads 😅
Haha they're on the ad game for sure! And Decoded is definitely sold out for a reason...
Andar The Aspen or Ryan London (both black one) ?
Ryan London. If you want colors, go with Andar.
@beardfm Have you heard of Vaja Cases? I have had many cases from them since iPhone 5. The Argentinian leather is very soft. Highly recommend. Great video by the way.
I haven't! Will try to check them out...
Sweet thank you for your reviews
You're welcome! Thanks for watching 🙏
Very useful video. Should has also tested magnetic strength
Great job on the reviews Stephen! We've definitely got to sneak in there next time 😉
Please do! Would love to try your case out!
@@beardfm You'll have one in your hands next week! We've got you *covered*... I'll see myself out...
new subscriber great video!
Thanks! Appreciate it 🙏🏻
Great video, thanks.
You’re welcome!
This…
I menionted in the intro, I found the MagSafe magnets to be similar strength across all these devices.
@@beardfm I rewatched the intro section, but you didn’t mention MagSafe anywhere in it. You must’ve edited that part out. 😅
I think for me the decoded and alma cases are it.
I've been rocking the Decoded and Ryan London the most for sure.
you should check out the andar aspen
Actually had that in a previous video! ua-cam.com/video/9sT6kNzWqDI/v-deo.htmlsi=_-HskoLPc4jx1zl0
Great video. Decoded looks great, shipping costs are nuts though to the US.
Yeah, it was one of my favorites though!
Thanks for this review, helps a ton. Not happy you got some cases that are still on pre-order for us mortals LOL Sad Apple stopped making leather cases, they and Ryan London are the only ones that make the camera lens aesthetic I care for. Not a fan of metal or big rings.
Welcome! And tried to review as many as possible, even pre-ordered ones so you could make the best decision 😅 Ryan London is a great option though
Good to know!
@@beardfm I got a InUnion case as well and it's amazing especially for the money, you should grab one and review it. I'm surprised how good this case is. It has a Football like leather to it and it has really nice camera ring and buttons.
Thx for the tip. It seems like one manufacturer makes them and show up under different break names at basically same price. I’m game.
Leather cases for laptops is what I’m going to miss. Got one for my MacBook Air 2018. Gonna miss it.
Those were nice!
I don't like cases that are open at the bottom, less protection. Decoded is my choice in all the ones you presented
Love the decoded for sure!
Wanted to buy the decoded but the date etched into the camera cut-out is super annoying.
I get it, the Andar cases are a nice alternative, and they now all have an Action Button!
Man I wish I knew about the Ryan London case before buying the Bullstrap one. I love the case, but not sure it was worth 50% more than the Ryan London which looks almost identical. I got a lifetime warranty, so I guess that's nice?
Yeah, and some people like the bull logo so 🤷🏼♂️ don’t feel bad!
Have you guys who have bought noticed a heating issue
No heating issues here
I’d be worried about dropping the phone on its back and the metal rings transferring the force of the impact directly onto the back glass around the camera bump.
I’ve dropped mine a couple times with these cases and back has never cracked fwiw
What about MagSafe?
Realized I cut this part out of my own video 🤦🏼♂️ they’re all MagSafe compatible and all comparable strength.
Nice! Glad you’re enjoying it
I am not sure if there is a newer version for Mujjo but mine is very bulky. It has square edges and make my 15PM feel like a 14PM. The case is also very thick, the buttons are not in the middle on the side thus the extra thickness imo.
Yeah that doesn't sound like the one I have. I bought directly from their website FWIW
You should review it
