Sunday mornings…another lovely Freddie’s video, a cup of coffee and a breeze on the face..Thank you Freddie and Monika for allowing us to join on your journey. 😊
Cor, that start. The sunrise, the scenery, the soundtrack and filming was sublime. What better way to start on a Sunday morning? Thanks Freddie & Monika.
Your videos are so calming that I could recommend a daily dose to relieve high blood pressure. The early morning " sunset," blue skies, warm breezes, and the over 50 crowd was a beautiful way to start my day. 😢 unfortunately for you and Monika it's back to work producing entertainment for all of us to enjoy. Thank you from all of us for doing what you do and doing it so marvelous. 👍👍
'Last bastion of freedom'. Freddie man, that was pure joy to my ears. I almost shed a manly tear. Such a beautiful and revelatory video. One of the best yet.
Spot on Freddie!! I've been riding since the age of 16 , now 74. I still get the same pleasure and feeling of freedom when riding. A good bike becomes your best companion to enjoy life. Always will be that way for me. Thanks for another good video. Dave
Thank you for reminding us back home what the sun looks like. I'm on Wales/England border and not seen the sun for 3 weeks. Officially zero minutes of sun shine. Just a sheet of thick low cloud. Never known anything like it. I'm looking at flights now.
But zero rain as well so OK for riding. Anticyclonic gloom, brought about by a sustained autumn high pressure system over the entire UK (hence zero rain) typical of this time of year.
There is definitely something special about an early morning ride, the quiet roads enable you to enjoy the riding more and in Tenerife you have the sunshine and the warmth. The T120 is the perfect bike for that sort of ride.😊
Thank you for this video Freddie and Monica.Lovely bike, lovely scenery.lovely weather and oh lovely bike.To watch this on a bleak morning really does wonders for me.Many thanks again.
I agree with you about the Bonneville, I've had mine four months now and can honestly say , apart from the problem I had with the clocks a while back , that it is probably the nicest bike I've ever owned, and I've been riding since 1985, it's just such a nice place to be .
For me, the king of retro is RE... Just look at the new classic 650. It's all about proportions, and RE just nails it. Always nice to watch a Freddie Dobbs VID on lazy sundaymorning. Cheers.
@@jameswatson5380 - that’s how we all started, it will hook you. I did my CBT January 2004, and by May 2004 I had my first Bonneville. Just a few months of diligent learning and you’ll be fine - a new hobby and life awaits.
Freddie & Monica, thanks for another perfect start to my Sunday morning. Even better, I rode the same roads on a Triumph from Easy Rider Tenerife on my last visit in 2022 and loved La Galleta as well. Now I want to make a booking for early 2025 to get back and experience that ‘freedom lifestyle’ that comes on 2 wheels in the beautiful Canary Islands. Your channel continues to be on my ‘must watch’ list and in many ways is like the T120 - “Best in Class.”
When I was a kid in the 80's I could identify 95% of cars without looking at the badge. These days I don't even try...Even my favorite brand BMW I find them "souless" for want of a better word. Great video Freddie😊
Freddie, without having met you, and purely going on things you've said and filmed without words...you have a hole in your heart that can only be filled with a Land Rover Defender. I look forward to the look on your face when you finally succumb and buy one. Cheers, mate. Much respect, from Canada. 👍
Nice Sunday morning video, Freddie. On the subject of the best looking, king of the retros, that T120 is up there, but I personally love the CB1100EX from 2016 (which is why I bought one…). It looks a million dollars in red… Honda really nailed that late 60s/early 70s look, the way Triumph have captured their halcyon 50s/60s era on the T120. Enjoy the rest of the sunshine.
Buenas Dias Freddie, gorgeous bike, beautiful sunrise and warm weather. It’s just above the freezing point here in Berlin, but this video has surely warmed my heart, as the Bonnie did yours. I love this bike as well and perhaps the Kawasaki w800, which is hard to find, is also a head turner. Enjoy your stay and bring back the sunshine! Greetings, Jim
Beautiful Freddie! You’ve worked some magic because the clouds have finally cleared here in Blighty so we have a nice blue sky after a month of constant cloudy skies
You always tell it as it is Freddie and you delivered the description of the Boneville as perfect as ever. The roads and the sunrise in Tenerife were just amazing and I would bet you wanted to stay there, opposed to coming back to frezzing cold and wet Blighty...
Hi Freddie. We have to learn to live slower than we do… it’s a question about enjoying the rest of your life. I did yesterday almost the same that you do in your video, but with a 1962 Vespa and a very old Leica Camera. There are Low-riders and there are S-low-riders. ;). Enjoy life. Cheers!
Completely agree with you on the T120. It’s the yardstick from which all other retros are measured. Looking forward to riding one around the Island in 3 weeks.
Beautiful Bonnie mixed with that surrounding 🔥. I’ve met a T120 owner a while ago and he said he most of the times doesn’t get past the 3rd gear, because of the power there is no need to keep shifting. He loves it though. The T100 is my daily bike and I absolutely love it as well, less powerful but lots of character thanks to more vibrations and more shifting (which is my preference). I tested both and am amazed by how different they are. Both great but just really different styles when it comes to riding characteristics.
Many time I've watched the sun rise locally, just me and my bike, theres othing like it. It's a beautiful place and you do look at home there, definitely a different way of life I could get used to, great video
Lovely music, sets the scene, truly an idyllic lifestyle, never tire of seeing Tenerife. Totally agree with you Freddie about cars losing their character, I recall the old Mercedes coupe (sadly, later vandalised) on one of your previous visits to the island.
Another lovely video on Tenerife, missing it and will have to return soon. Your right re the T120 Freddie, from the day I bought my T120 Black I knew then and now there may never be a better retro at the top of its class ever again and keeping hold of it, look after it like a child. 😂 it’s the best bike I have ever owned and will be passed down to my children when I’m gone. Lovely sunset, erm sunrise 🌅 😂 Looking forward to more videos on the island and wish you and Monika well. Cheers Nick
And here's Freddie going on about modern day cars being so generic... i've been shouting about that for the last 6 or so years! That's the main reason I only own old cars, ones that have charm and character. And as an added bonus, i'm recycling old cars and saving our limited resources. Wonderful editing and lovely music enhancing the island and the beautiful Bonnie 👍.
I was eating at one of those seafood restaurants behind you at La Caleta a month ago; the one I could afford! A lot of them were very pricey because of that rocky cove and the sea rolling in with waves making a great atmosphere. I will definitely return to swim there next year.
Morning rides are the best! My work has for decades had me getting up 330-400. Many, many of my rides are greeting the sun. It can be majestic when the Black Hills are in your back yard.
Sometimes its just better to get up that bit earlier in the morning to catch a view like that. I think you have outlived your 865 Freddie time to make some new memories on a new bike and this bike in this colour scheme could be the one. Great vid
I 100% agree the bonny will never get knocked of the top spot so much went into the development of that bike I’m so proud to of been apart of that it will forever stay in my top five triumphs 🙏❤️
Hi Freddie. Looks like you are having a bit of fun out there old bean. My biker head says riding about in jeans, (perhaps reinforced), and a t shirt is perfect summer biking gear. My Isle of Man TT Paramedic head, of 20 years, is less keen. Even gravel rash alone is not something to recommend. Anyhow it's a free choice to one and all. Please just stay on the bloody thing! Some cars can still make you feel special. My Z4 for example, the sound of the straight 6, the wind through your hair. But i agree cars are more generic and it takes something special to break that mould. Whereas all motorcycles give you the same feeling. On a summers morning it used to be an easy decision, get my Street triple out and ride, now i have to give it some thought before choosing the Z4 or the Triumph. Both give equal pleasure in different ways.
You would make a great travel show presenter based on 2 wheels. I watched a Stuart Fillingham you tube video explaining the time and effort put in to doing a presentable video that appears seamless. Lovely vid - and 100% agree with the sentiments of cars becoming generic, utilitarian boxes - probably mis quoting but cars move the body, bikes move the soul
It's funny, I live in the earliest rising city in the world apparently, so 5am starts are the norm rather than the exception. It's a brilliant time for a ride, minimal traffic, no waits at the cafe, and you can be home in time to still have a productive day.
Great video as usual Freddie. It'd be interesting to see you compare the current 900 T100 to your old 865, to see how a similar sized Bonnie has changed. I've got an old Bonnie and never really took to the modern versions as they looked ungainly compared to the old ones. However, i was at the Triumph factory the other week and was gobsmacked at how nice looking the new ones were. The engine is styled to resemble the old school Bonnie even more. The feeling was temporary though as the first bike i saw after that was an X-75 Hurricane. To me that's one of the most beautiful bikes ever made.
Fantastic video! I'm very fortunate to have a 2019 T120 alongside my Heritage Softail. I truly believe they're the two best all-round bikes on the market. The Heritage is the ideal for 2-up days/weekends out but the T120 is perfect for nipping round town or down into Central London if I have a meeting. That T120 engine is a treat, plenty of torque for low-range fun but equally happy cruising at motorway speeds. The proportions are brilliant too, I love that they've retained the iconic looks but created a slightly larger feeling bike which is good for those of us who are a bit taller.
Great video. I know what you mean about cars. I bought a 2004 MG TF160 sports car six years ago and still love it now. It is still near mint and cost me less than £4k. The last bastion of true British sports cars. It goes like stink and is pure fun. There will never be a successor made. Your Jeep is much the same but with different benefits. Fred this might sound like a nothing point, but starting the intro music during the opening sponsor slides is a great touch here. Sometimes when I click your videos I think I might have accidentally muted my computer. Great video as always!
The Triumph Bonneville is a nice bike, but I'm more of a Moto Guzzi fan. (Plus, I have a 2021 V7 Special). 2 of my main reasons are : the transverse V Twin looks so much cooler than the parallel twin, in my opinion. Also, the Moto Guzzi has shaft drive instead of a chain drive.
Sunday mornings…another lovely Freddie’s video, a cup of coffee and a breeze on the face..Thank you Freddie and Monika for allowing us to join on your journey. 😊
Love it when you do bike days as it means Monica gets some me time.

One of your best Freddie. Captured so much in this video. Very emotional in a good way. Thank you.

Thank you for reminding us back home what the sun looks like.
I'm on Wales/England border and not seen the sun for 3 weeks. Officially zero minutes of sun shine. Just a sheet of thick low cloud. Never known anything like it. I'm looking at flights now.
And Ireland ....dreary
But zero rain as well so OK for riding. Anticyclonic gloom, brought about by a sustained autumn high pressure system over the entire UK (hence zero rain) typical of this time of year.
@gzk6nk We're constantly in cloud here so if you stand outside after 10 minutes you're absolutely drenched. It's vile .
@@paulyflyer8154 You must be quite high up. Cloudbase is around 1000 feet and about 2000 feet thick (but it does vary).
The sun never set on the British empire. You people messed up somewhere, and it was ending colonialism. Go conquer some sunshine.
When driving in a car you watch the scenery go by as if on a screen,
on a motorcycle you are a part
of that landscape…..🏍️
...to paraphrase Zen & The Art of Motorcycle Maintenance...
Exactly! That left a big impression on many, including myself.
😉

Agreed, I think the classic 350's are the sweet spot. And with that vintage look has the slower more relaxed riding style to go with it
Now im browsing T120's and i dont even have a bike license!
Do it - take your test - life is better with a bike especially a Bonneville.
