Great Video Presentation!
Thank you so much. That's kind of you
I have Lectric's xp lite and I love it! Could be the best money I've spent , it definitely gets me out a lot more than usual! I love running errands on my bike .
Awesome! Do the smaller tire size bug you at all? I was very close to buying one before I found my XP 2 used. Great option for most
@@DominicPhillip the tires feel great actually, thinking about it just probably 2days ago I went over a pothole in nyc and crossed my fingers and the tires did an A+ job ...How is it going 28Mph ? And how often do you? I sometimes wonder about that but the "pros" of the xp lite is why it's my choice!
@@kobefan2472 It's tough to get it up to 28 honestly, you need to be going down hill and pedaling all out, and I never ride at that speed because the battery drains so quickly up there. Glad you're enjoying the lite! I may pick one of those up for my wife next.
@@DominicPhillip I'm sure your wife will love the lite, I feel great with the lite it's all about range now I have 2 batts but now the 2.0 can take the new long range batt so theres an advantage there
I love the Lectric Xp Lite, as well! It's so much fun.
Interesting content! Yo, I've literally NEVER heard of an e-bike, lololol. Didn't know that was a thing... But definitely makes me want to ride one now.
I just asked my brother if he's heard of them and he said "obviously". So I guess I'm just ignorant then 😂. It helps you up a HILL?? This is magic!! lololol. I'm dying right now 🤣. How have I never heard of e-bikes before? This is an amazing invention lmao.
Hahaha these comments cracked me up. Try one out for sure, they're so much fun and have allowed me to explore so much of my city that I never would have seen!
Just ordered a 2.0 extended range with the 14ah battery. I think the bigger battery for 200$ more is a no brainer
I want the extended range bad. It’s a MUST if you have the $200 to spend
Dominic great job describing this bike. Watched a video about how to turn the handlebars around and that peeked my interest, cause I agree with you I don't like the narrow handlebars that seem especially far from the rider. Thinking about the x premium but that's more $.
Yea the bars are definitely narrow and take getting used to. If it’s problematic stay away from this model completely.
@@DominicPhillip Thank you, like the bike a lot, just don't like the straight handlebar design. Can a bmx style handlebar replace this one?
Great review.:) I have the Espin Nesta, which I think is the best at the 2k price point, and definitely doesn’t have the power issues that the Lectric has, but I think I’d of liked this Lectric just fine, but for power and hills that Nesta is a beast.:))
Totally agree! I looked at it and just found this one at an amazing price so I made the jump. I would like more power and range eventually, but for now I'm loving this little beast.
@@DominicPhillip I’m totally thinking I should grab this one too now You know, once you get one, you can’t have too many! Lol My Mr has the Bee Cool Adventurer, and he absolutely loves that one too! We’ve purchased a ton of accessories, but he’s on the original seat still, which says a lot! We did splurge on the dog basket with cage cover for my little chihuahua, and we bought the Buddy Rider seat for our Pekingese to ride on the Bee Cool bike. Literally everyone stops us because they’re so cute riding with us. Haha Take care!! 👍
I bought mine in April and have a little over 1000 miles on it and really like this bike. I’m in Moab this week and have risen some pretty rough trials and it’s done really good on them. The one issue is the weight and awkwardness when folded as I bought it to put in my small school bus. I’m 64 and 140lbs so it’s pretty heavy. I made a small ramp and just keep the bike unfolded in the bus.
I have this bike nice video I also have cloud 9
Thanks bud! Try that seat post, for $22 it’s really a game changer. What other upgrades have you done?
Howdy...tks much for the video review...I just purchased the XP 2 and have yet to do my first ride. Question: I see you are reco'ing a suspension seat post and assume you got the 31.6mm version. I was interested in the same and talked to Lectric about using it. They said no and said it wouldn't work properly since the their diameter is 31.8mm. So the one you purchased works ok? Tks
From the time you ordered until it arrived was about how long? nice video!
I bought it used locally. Sorry I'm no help here
I fold mine up all the time. If you do buy one get the long rang battery
Alot of little annoyances but you've got to love the price.
Very true. I want to try the new extended range battery so bad. It’s $500 thoigh
What's the seatpost size?
Dominic, I weigh 345 lbs, 6 feet tall and 69 years old. Which one of these do you think would be better for me, a Lectric XP Step Thru 2.0 or an XP Step Thru 3.0?
Thanks!!
Hey Pepe, thanks for the watch. Your height and weight won’t be an issues with either bike. So really you should look at the differences in upgrades on the 3.0 vs the 2.0. Imo depending upon your usage I’d say go with the 3.0 because I like the newer rack configuration and suspension. But if you can find a good deal on a used 2.0 like I did don’t hesitate to pick it up. Still a fantastic bike. And 100% stick with a step through
@@DominicPhillip Thank you, Dominic for answering my question! God bless!!
Could you please post the link to the hydraulic brakes.
amzn.to/3cVWDJP sorry for the delay on this.
Where is the link for the hydraulic brakes you promised?
amzn.to/3cVWDJP Sorry for the delay. Thanks for watching!
Did you order the 31.6 dia seat post? My 2.0 says 31.8? Will that make a difference???
Are you there??? Please see above!
Sorry didn’t see this. I don’t think it makes a difference but I’m mine was a 31.6 I believe.
On the video you mention the seat post cost you $49. The link is only showing $22 - Is the link the correct seat post?
Sorry, that was a pricing error. The link is accurate, that is the seat post I purchased. It works great but if you're much more than 200 pounds it will get overloaded.
@@DominicPhillip Thanks for the response. I ordered using your link.
Do your self a favor and stay away from this brand. Lectric is pure garbage. They suck so bad they took their phone lines down because so many people are calling customer service. And oh btw they do not refund. Even if they sell you a busted bike. There is a warranty but you have to pay out of pocket for shipping and for service and repairs to any bike mechanic
Wow that sounds terrible. What happened to your bike? I haven’t heard that their service was bad. Thanks for the heads up
I've called Lectric twice recently (just to ask some questions) and had no problem getting through to them. The agent was super nice and friendly and answered my questions in the best of his ability. We even talked a few minutes just about ebikes in general. Had no issues.
I do not own any ebikes but do plan on buying one soon and I'm definitely leaning towards the XP 2.0.
I had my seat break and they sent me a new one and all they asked for was a photo. The second one broke so I bought a different one and they credited my account the amount I paid for the seat. Great customer service.
i`ve been trying to get my bike serviced for over 2 months parts arriving in dribbs and drabs nightmare don`t buy this bike
