- Sort of a 1K subscriber special? In this video, I go over some old math memes made over the years by teachers all over the place. Students make mistakes which is totally totally okay and many of those mistakes are fairly common. Here we go over some of the common mistakes and explain what we need to do to fix them!
Oh no!!!!!! Not the kitten!!!!!
I can't believe I just found u here lmao
lol
1st grade: lol addition is easy and so fun
much later in algebra: you ruin everything once you appear unexpectedly
I’m not one of your students. I took a class through my college that used Aleks, and it was total shit. Their program is a big fan of just telling you to memorize formula but not tell you why. I found your channel and it helped. It’s honestly still an entertaining channel even though I passed my exam today.
ugh i love u math man ! u r the only person i feel like i could watch do math for hours and i wouldn’t get bored! 😍💕
CooRoo... maybe? but the horribly awful terrible background-music ruins it!! WHY DO PEOPLE ADD MUSIC?!??!!!??!?!?!!?
Thanku so much for such a great content 😇
Love from india ❤️
Thank you! Please stay safe!
Thanks math man, very cool
Now this is Epic
Is that Tchaikovsky waltz of the flowers in the background ;)
Heck yeah!
Math Man McGreal wow that was quick. I noticed since I love listening to Tchaikovsky(while doing math). Especially his violin concerto in d major and piano concerto 1.
Also.. I have a question about derivatives
Currently doing rational functions and was wondering whether differentiation is different compared to polynomial functions.
Thanks and, have a good day :)
@@Jay-S04 Yeah classical is a nice combo with math! Derivatives of rationals sometimes behave similarly to polynomials especially when they are monomials. But when you have a more complicated rational expression you'll need the quotient rule!
Math Man McGreal Thanks, I’ll check out the quotient rule
Also, if you’re bored or don’t know what to listen to, here are some good examples:
Introduction and rondo capriccioso
Beethoven Symphony 7
Mozart Violin concerto 4
Vivaldi 4 Seasons
Tchaikovsky Valse Sentimentale
Mozart symphony 39 mvt. 4
And my favorite- Bach Gavotte rondeau in E major
@@Jay-S04 Some of these look familiar from a Music Appreciation elective I took in college. Thanks!
For 10:49 I just got the square root of each expression and did the rest of the math to get x = 4.5
@1:24
Start there.
song name?
Waltz of the Flowers!
For x^2 = 16, I think students get this wrong, because they don't know what's the difference between radical and square root, it may be because of the teacher who knows.
Yeah there's usually a slew of issues there. For a lot of students, it is their first time solving equations that aren't linear so really it's the start to a whole new world for them!
i think i have to unsubscribe
: O
go crazy ah
