I'm seeing this WAY after you reacted to this announcement live and I just wanna mention that the Unknown were scrambled on purpose. At the start you can see Pikachu looking back at then sorta in confusion because they weren't arranged right to spell "Pokémon Presents". Also to complete the gag, the question mark at the end waddled by.
I'm glad they're waiting. They listened to feedback and are taking their time working on it. Also, they didn't see show anything from the actual game - but people are guessing that it's after the war 3000 years ago in Kalos that destroyed major cities using AZ's ultimate weapon. Redevelopment leads me to believe that it's after that time and Kalos is rebuilding Lumiose. Also, Lumiose City being the entire map is not concerning at all to me. Midgar in Final Fantasy 7 Remake was the only area to explore in the game and it still had 60 to 70 hours of content.
There's a lot they can do in Lumiose alone. Kalos has Rhyhorn riding as a sport, and introduced roller skating and the Gogoat ride/taxi feature. They could also use the stadium from the super training as a sort of gym or soccer theme and there's all the fashion stuff Kalos is known for.
They can even use the lore behind Hoopa to take you to the different areas of Kalos for Pokémon catching or use the different plazas (the 5 big circles around the map: Blue, Magenta, Rouge, Jayne and Vert plaza.) as central areas where wild Pokémon gather. The whole thing behind a city where people and Pokémon can live together and official statements saying the game is entirely in Lumiose leads me to believe we're urbanizing a rural wild area where Pokémon once dominated after the 3,000 year war.
No rushed games; a first in recent memory with the Pokémon company; I don't want a Scarlet/Violet buggy game again! :) Soeyue Region should be nice (a la Hisui -> Sinnoh. Soeyue -> Kalos name later?) - Might be a city builder/gta/pokemon/urban open world. Hope most buildings are enterable, or canals, sewers, etc.
I'm eager to return to Kalos since that is where I got my first two shiny Pokemon ever, with my first being a full odds shiny Ledyba, and the other being a shiny Charmander that I hatched from an egg. I'd also love it if they reworded Ledian to make it actually somewhat viable in battle, just so that I can have a chance to let my first ever shiny Pokemon well....shine! :P Imagine if Legends Z also brings back the Violet Paradox Pokemon since it looks like Legends Z may be taking place in the future, we might have a situation where it's not just the Paradox Pokemon from Violet that get "future" Paradox forms, but possibly other Pokemon like the Kalos starters, Legendaries, and some other such as possibly Gyarados, Goodra, or Talonflame.
@MysticKorea Switch 2 was originally supposed to come out this year, but according to rumors, it's being delayed into 2025. We probably won't find out anything about the new switch until the next major Nintendo direct slated for Summer/Fall time frame
Yeah. Unfortunately we have no actual trailer, just a teaser with really no information 😔 we can hope it will be good but won’t really know til we get a real trailer.
I don’t necessarily think this is any different than any previous game. They have a year maybe more to finish as all they said was 2025 but people are expecting it early 2025. We will have to wait and see.
the only reason people want a new pokemon game this year is because scarlet and violet is L as hell and need a reason to get off it but honestly if you dont want another scarlet or violet situation you might as well be glad they are gonna take their time.

I think it is very unlikely for late 2025. I think the majority of us expect it to be similar to Arceus and SV... Legends in spring and gen 10 in fall... but who knows. Maybe they'll learn, maybe they won't XD

They arent taking more time. They are going to have the same 3 year development cycle no matter what. And those half baked games in your opinion still became top 3 sold games ever in the franchise. So its definitely more good then bad.

I kind of doubt the legends will be late 2025. Most likely a late 2025 gen 10 and spring for legends. That's IF they follow how the last ones came out. But who knows?

I personally really enjoy SV. Wasn't a fan of SW/SH, but loved Arceus. I'm hopeful for this game, but a bit apprehensive about the setting of it.
