Stan Winston really made movie magic with his dinosaurs. He was a real special effects master. And his legacy lives on in the movies and the people he inspired
Funny thing about the t rex's hydraulic fluid incedent, when Walt Disney first built an Abe Lincoln animatronic, it had red hydraulic fluid in it, and in an early test, the fluid spurted out, looking like he'd been shot by John Wilkes Booth. So technically, the t Rex was repeating history
That's a myth...having developed the the technology they were aware of the potentially of them leaking, due to the constant leaking...plus the hydraulic oil should always be clear anyway, and once it's turns dark then that signifies wear and tear...so yes it's possible that during a show the linclon figure could malfunction and then leak fluid that could be dark in color...their is no known record that this happened and most likely couldn't happen if the figure was being maintained...while the figures even today do have pressure lost they do have computers in them now reset them...and their is evidence of this happening at different parks..but to have a figure have catastrophic failure and then bleed has never happened.
I've been aware of the destruction of the Bull/JP3 Rex animatronic for a while now, but it still makes me sad that such an iconic animatronic met such a fate.
I saw a vid about someone who rode it and it broke down close to the indomus rex. Instead that the anamtronic got reset it stayed at its position and sniffed the riders. It was great to see that they worked a plan B into it for breakdowns
Man these are beautiful. I just can't stop marveling about the Jurassic Park animatronics, really. I didn't know about the things you said about the fight from Jurassic Park 3! No wonder it looked so real... it WAS!
That’s what happened to me last year! I bought a animatronic from a small Floridian UA-camr and that’s how I learned more about how to they work, and the variety of how you can build them.
If you want starters, some things like Halloween or Christmas animatronics from like amazon or even a local store if you want the basics. Then I recommend building up from that!
Well you dont have to use electric motors and stuff. You could start out by building little wire and spring controlled puppets and then motorized them later. Worst case. Make some lego prototypes. Get a lego mindstorms and or technic lego set and use strings and springs. It's something I didnt have the creativity for back then. I hadn't considered using non lego stuff with it. Like rubber bands and sich
Watching these videos are making me really want to go to school to learn how to make animatronics. I’d love to be apart of something so amazing and learning from the best.
The jurassic park 3 shouldn’t be hated because they worked so hard to create this masterpiece and people don’t know how much effort they put on creating the dinosaurs
Another fun video! 👍🏼 If I was the puppeteer working that Spineasaurus animatronic, I’d want to ride on it’s back, wave my arms around (so we’re waiving our arms around) and yell yee haw. On the Jurassic World ride, it looks like they also darkened the area around the t-rex over the final drop so you don’t see that his feet are flying through the air. If so, that’s a big improvement as that always bugged me. (“It’s not a dragon!”)
Always bothered me that you could also see how it worked passed the waterfall. Darker and with Idomeneus Rex to distract its much harder to tell now. Also did not want to underplay! So cool that one of the people that worked with the animatronics is here!
Exactly! Their extremely cool and also terrifying to be close to. Loll. I’ve always wondered how they worked so being that close up would be so cool lol
Love these videos always cool to see the work behind these amazing animatronics in these films, R.I.P. Stan Winston thanks for making our childhoods awesome cant wait for part 3
Aww they really destroyed the rex? That makes me sad, all that work to have them killed by the Spinosaurus. It never ceases to amaze me with the amount of effort they put into all the details.
@@allegrifan4933 no I know spinosores is much more than short legged duck like spinosores today it's completely fake or maybe 🤔 it's a different version (spisis) of spinosores like spinosores agyptis(JP 3) and spinosores Moroccan (short legged duck like spinosores)
I rode Jurassic World at Universal Hollywood for the first time since they remade it the other day and my goodness, the Indominus Rex at the end looks real!!
I saw some dinosaur animatronics at sally robotics in Jacksonville Fl on a Kindergarten field trip in 1995. They were being developed for the second Jurassic park film.
No sympathy for the spitter in the comments? The spitter deserved better than to have the whole team fighting to work on Rexy and one person to work on him...If i could have back then I would have volunteered.
In the scene in the movie Jurassic world the lost world where there's the long neck and the volcanos ashes is getting to it and it does a final breath makes me cry every time
The problem with the Jurassic world physical dinosaurs is that they are always advertised or talked about being animatronic when in reality it is more of just a big puppet. Sure there are probably very specific radio controlled parts like the tongue or eyes but still it’s main moments are done with rods and wires.
The ride and movie what i mean jurassic world park the. Ride and jurassic world the ride and jurassic park movies and jurassic world movies are lovely made 🦕🦕🦕🦕🦖🦖
I don’t know if you guys will ever do a Part 3 on this video, but there used to be an animatronic of the Dilophosaurus that was built for Movieland Wax Museum of the Stars in Niagara Falls, Ontario during the 1990’s. It stayed intact when the museum relocated to another spot on Clifton Hill in 2005, though was replaced by displays based on The Mummy reboot and Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.
No wonder the Dilophosaurus was so small literally only one person worked on it if more people were interested we could’ve gotten a Fully grown truck sized Dilophosaurus

And from then on clear hydraulic fluid was mandatory... Untill the A100s arrived

It's sad to hear such stunning animatronics were destroyed or dismantled afterwards
I hoped they are recycled to make a cooler animatronic
@@Mrjohal12331 considering how until the next movie. That didn't happen

R.I.P Stan Winston.

Man these are beautiful. I just can't stop marveling about the Jurassic Park animatronics, really.
I didn't know about the things you said about the fight from Jurassic Park 3! No wonder it looked so real... it WAS!
The fight in the final film is entirely cgi lol
It’s all CGI in the film since the spino ripped the Rex head off, so they had to go back to animation only.
The Indominus Rex from Jurassic World ride (update) was amazing. I like how much realistic it is too
This makes me want to build my own animatronic. However I have no experience in electricity however I could design my dream animatronics.
That’s what happened to me last year! I bought a animatronic from a small Floridian UA-camr and that’s how I learned more about how to they work, and the variety of how you can build them.

May Stan Winston rest in peace. I hope Jurassic World: Dominion is successful and ends the franchise in a respectful, and good way. We'll see...
There might be more or not
Hello from the future!
How do I say this in a good way…
It was bs
Indom: *roars at humans*

For a movie in the 2001s it's actually super good compared to some movies nowadays

That dancing t-rex is the most horrifying thing in this video...
Ey! My Girl Dilo was included! She, and her kind, are SO underrated in this franchise! There better be another Dilo in Jurassic World Dominion!
Well the dilophosaurus is going to be in the movie and also had a scene in the trailer
Thank you for making a list of all my favorite movies
Our pleasure!
I would love a part 3 especally when Dominion comes out
I think Part 3 will take more time because bloopers, behind the scenes and stories related to the movie don't release on the movie's release date.
I love that dancing dino🤣
not gonna lie the onl thing i envy about actors is getting super close to these animatronics !

Wow, the changed ride finale with the indominus battle is incredible.
I was heartbroken when that apatosaurus died in 'Jurassic World.'
Loved the Dancing disco trex at the start lol but it slayed
🤯 raptors!!!!!!!! Like blue
The Dilophosaurus “Spitter” reminds me of the Humanimals puppets for Magic Kingdom’s “Legend of the Lion King”.

"This final scene is mind blowing" - Fool Speak.
Jurassic park was so good because it took two ideas that no one ever thought of and put them together
One thing I loved about Dominion was the use of animatronic dinosaurs again.
THANK YOU! I look forward to the next part
Love the Fallout New Vegas music in the background
0:29 it's been a while, I like the new intro!🤖
Thanks a lot!
Stan Winston would be proud if he saw this :)
God i love to see the animatronic of spinosaurus, i love that dinosaur
You should do king kong animatronics next
AWESOME DINOSAURS
Rest In Peace Stan Winston

LIKE I LOVE DINASOARS

What's nice is that in the original Jurassic Park ride when you enter into the final scene of the ride you can see the mechanics of Rexy.
Dilophosaurus in real life: birdy & feathery
Spinosaurus in real life: stumpy legged & derpy
T. rex in real life: *beer gut*
Do more i realy love this
SO SCARY
when i was younger when the trex used pop out near the end i was so scared everytime i went on the ride
1:25 -- I'd be so afraid it would fall off and into the vehicle.
I love Dinos 💖💖💖💖💖💖
The spinosaurus head and the second rexy head in the first movie are displayed in a museum in Hollywood
Sweet!!
Love spinosaurus
Nice
That apatosaurus teach are creepy without the outside
If you make a part 3 can you tell people about the baby stegosaurus in the lost world
“The best of both worlds. Practical effects and great CGI.”
And proceeded to make everything look like bad CGI.
In the scene in the movie Jurassic world the lost world where there's the long neck and the volcanos ashes is getting to it and it does a final breath makes me cry every time
