My initial thoughts on getting my brand new Giant XC race bike. I like the bike, it handles great, goes down great, but I really don't understand making it so heavy out of the box for racing XC. It's OK to be disappointed in your favorite bike brand, and there are ways to make it work. For now, I leave you with my first impressions.

I just installed the Lyne Holy Rail on my 2013 Anthem. Good to know. It's a tight fit, I had to go down to 590mm bottles from 620mm.

you couldn't use the remote lockout kit on the shock to replace it ? What shock did you buy and which remote did you choose?

What size is the frame and how tall are you? I am 5 10.5 and hit right between large and medium.
Medium, and I’m 5’10”. Feels pretty perfect for me.
How does climb? Any bob feeling?
I have the lockout remote that controls both shock and fork at the same time, so I do not get the bob.
