- For chicken & walnuts lovers, here , this is one for you. Perfectly seared chicken meat, using chicken quarter is the most economical way of preparation, yet tasty part of chicken meat. Pan dry toasted walnuts into crunchy stage for perfect combination with chicken meat. Enjoy.

5 oz. walnuts
1 pound boneless, skinless chicken quarter, diced
*marinade for meat *
1 Tbs. rice wine
2 Tbs. soy sauce
1 Tbs. corn starch
2 Tbs. cooking oil
cooking oil as needed
1 Tbs. ginger, minced
½ red bell pepper, chopped
½ yellow onion, sliced
2 stalks celery, sliced
** pre mix sauce **
⅓ cup rice wine
2 Tbs. soy sauce
1 tsp. sugar
1 Tbs. sesame oil

Hello Chef. I made this dish earlier this week with the exception of the walnuts. Wanted to use pork but my girlfriend says, her mother has to stay away from it so chicken was the way to go or any type of seafood. I was amazed how you roasted the walnuts cuz you ( and I too ) usually don't stir fry at low heat. If the family can eat walnuts, I might try the method you performed. Until next time Chef.

I used to make this dish in the restaurant also, exact same way. We did walnut shrimp too but in a sweet creamy mayonnaise based sauce.

I think more traditionally its cashews used. Or maybe even that is a local adaptation of a different nut originally
No, this is a us Chinese restaurant/takeaway idea. You are probably thinking of chicken/cashew which is a completely different dish.
Once you are comfortable and master making that chinese -american chicken cashews cooking, you can always substitute nut with other type of tasty nuts. thank you for watching.
this version there is no garlic and oyster sauce either? I'm going to test it anyway
