I mean yeah but they still broke the law at the time. And even though some of them are in just for weed a lot sold or bought other illegal drugs that are definitely not legal now. So they still deserve time. Maybe a reduced time for weed but because some literally get years for it. But again they knew the risks in the first place.

I would say that people are actually less likely to consume a substance once it becomes legalized.
I think this is partially because of what the person above said, but also because people will begin to have more information on the effects of the substance. For example, if a drug is illegal, people are less informed about what it does. All they know is that it is illegal. Whereas, if a drug is legal, people know more about it. The public is more educated. I don't think this is necessarily the case for weed, but it is for most other drugs.

Rules should be clear cut. They are really simple: Do not consume cannabis or derivatives in work places (unless prescribed), Cannabis and its derivatives are to be consumed on your own time, Be safe and place the safety of others in very high regard - don't use cannabis or any other substance while driving.
Pretty simple, why all the commotion over this plant that millions probably won't ever consume in their lifetime legal or illegal? - nonetheless, it is simply one experience of limitless on this planet. Just legalize it, be done with it, give people the personal freedom to dictate and tailor their personal experiences in this pitifully short life we balance as singular individuals and share together as a community of peoples.

I'd rather hire someone who smokes Marijuana to get high every day than someone who drinks to get drunk everyday. The person who drinks will be hungover, slow and basically non prroductive. They will have many health issues and probably not last long at the job. The Marijuana smoker will have no hangovers and will most likely be more healthy even if they have some sort of disability or mobility issue. They definitely eat better than an alcoholic. They mostly likely will select a job they are happy with. They may even be more creative and productive because they want to be there . Marijuana smokers are generally happy people especially if they are in a workplace that accepts their lifestyle. Most times people can't even tell when someone has been smoking Marijuana but the smell is usually a tip off.
The above is based on my own experience in supervision of staff up to seven employees. If I knew a staff member was a smoker then my only issue and rule was they do not drive or operate heavy machinery. I knew several of our staff had pain related health issues. I left it up to them to be honest and they were. They were on time to work and rarely missed days. I notice also that at lunch time there was fun socializing and sharing of food which help the team bond. The drinkers, on the other hand, we're not as friendly with other staff and never ate lunches. They always seemed in crisis mode. They missed more days and had more social and family issues outside of the workplace.
These are my observations of over 10 years of being a supervisor.

I smoked as regularly as I could from age 16 to 30, then I stopped for thirty-three years Because I felt it affected my ability to be on-point and less productive towards meeting my career goals, and being illegal it could also affect those goals if I were to be arrested. Now I'm in my mid-sixties, live in a legal state, and started smoking it again, but only on Friday and Saturday nights. I find that There is a hangover affect that affects my ability to be on-point, and I still work. I don't plan on increasing my usage when I retire. For me it's like a glass of wine, but since I've never enjoyed drinking alcohol, cannabis takes it's place and is much better as it let's my mind wander, which is a big plus, as my job requires me to be very focused and it's not easy to get out of that mindset easily.

I decided to try some, to see what it was like. I lit that joint up, and I hated the taste at first. But I kept going, determined to get high. @AppleJuice I don’t do any drugs. I just think employers should have no say so over what people do in their private lives. Most drugs leave your system in 1-3 days, so it’s clearly discrimination. And weed is mostly legal now. In the US, we support Alcohol & tobacco, but not other drugs if people want to indulge in their free time. It’s disgraceful.

A breathalyzer tests if youre drunk, THC tests do not. Drug tests = invasion of privacy. Do you support freedom or the government telling you what you can do with your body? Simple

I've noticed that in nearly every video I've seen, not a single person of color is being shown now that it's legal.
When it was illegal...WOW all over the place!
Want to know how systemic racism informs the American mindset, how it works, and its insidiousness? Just watch this video.
To add: I wonder how many specifically black men and women are still in jail serving long sentences for having in their possession less than an ounce of ganja on them?

i was vibing with this piece, kinda happy that weed is less stigmatized than before, until i realized the depth and depravity of The War On Drugs; to see people (usually darker than those shown) spend years in prison while others (who look like the people in the video) benefit from the legalization without undoing the harm dealt with communities with high drug use. its insane how appearances can change perceptions that fast

Pro tip: don’t inhale while lighting a joint with a lighter. You are inhaling the butane as well.

    • @ryanroberts1104
      @ryanroberts1104 2 роки тому +4

Not if the lighter is burning. Butane combusts and turns into carbon dioxide, monoxide, and other things, but so does weed and rolling paper. Butane is much cleaner burning than paper or plant material. Even if you huffed a little butane out of the lighter it isn't going to hurt anything.
It's not very good to use Zippo type lighters, as the fuel is much more dirty, but mostly it's just a taste issue.
Of course anybody who has ever used a pipe knows the only way to use it is to inhale while the lighter is burning. You are clearly not a "pro".
