In his press conference, John Schnieder said that it is a year-round job to have 70 players "ready to go". He even went as far as to infer that the number was higher than 70 when including the guys sitting at home waiting for a phone call, telling them to "be ready" when that phone call comes. This comes from a dozen years' experience of managing rosters. Hence, I don't look at every player they bring in as someone who will be on the roster. I look at this as maintaining contact with as many potential assets as possible because you never know when you are going to need them. What this indicates to me, more than anything, is that Macdonald is working closely with Schneider. Beyond this particular player, I am more impressed with a perception of a healthy working relationship where Macdonald has significant influence with John Schnieder.
Snyder is a real dude. He comes across like the guy next door. Dont be fooled, he is a very sharp infividual. He has made a few picks that did not pan out . Thats the mature of the position. However, the guy has pulled off some real game changers i cant think of anyone else i eould trust as much with the trajectory of this team
Why are we talking about a guy making a visit? A guy who's hardly played the last 2 years and wasn't much of a factor even when he played. Save it for after they get signed.
Jaren Hall has made very good progress since last year. He looked pretty bad in 2023, but this preseason, he made some really nice throws and looked confident in the pocket. I would have liked to see Seattle go after Joe Flacco in the offseason and putting Howell on the ps.
Howell to PS?….ridiculous…with the capital they spent to acquire him that was never going to happen….not gonna risk putting your hand picked successor to Geno out there where he could be plucked by another team….total nonsense….
@@brianmyers4444 Well, then put him as a 3rd qb on the 53. Geno can potentially bring you to the promised land, but Howell has not the experience to do so right now. Joe Flacco does, if anything was to happen to Geno. Of course, that can't happen now and was never a serious consideration, but that's the way I would rather have it seeing what Flacco did last year and that Josh Dobbs got snatched by the Farty Niners.
@@whitebird357 Howell can take this team to the playoffs if the offense is effective in the NFL….we haven’t seen that yet so we have no idea if Geno can do that either….Howell was never going to be anything but number two qb from the time we acquired him….he has a full season of NFL starting experience and spending money on a qb as old as Flacco is poor roster/cap management…..
@@brianmyers4444 Flacco was surprisingly lights out last year coming in off the couch, late in the season. He would only get paid not too much over the vet min. and some QBs have been playing into their 40s successfully. There is a consensus in the sports media and those who have been around the Seahawks a long time that Howell has a lot of upside and can potentially be developed into a starting NFL QB. He has already played that role all last year with the WA Commanders. Geno, on the other hand, has already proven he can perform in big games. So, he can win playoff games. A decent O line will allow him to play to his full potential, having quality receivers and RBs at his disposal.

Bowser would be a solid pickup!
Wait, there wasn't 5 minutes committed to man-crushing about George Holani? Did I miss it?
Haha it seems like every episode this past month has been Corbin professing his love for George 😅
Holani played well
😂
I thought it was obvious we were only keeping 3 backs and George was on the outside. Kenny should be our #2 back. Zach is overrated by our fans.
@@somethingfishy925😂😂😂😂 GO HAWKS
Bowser signed along with a CB…..Westover and Greenfield released….
Who is available for QB besides PJ. I would look around for a young QB in need of some work.
Mike was waiting for this man to get healthy.

Well, considering he just signed... Think it was well worth the discussion.
Signed!
Matt Corral?
Go hawks

Do you think they would have picked Penix over Murphy given the chance?
No way….
Bring another guy in no one wanted. Really?
