As is said in the description ADAMS can be used also, which brings far better options. In fact the MOTION ANALYSIS module in Solidworks is based on ADAMS.
hi there feaprofessor. how significant is the difference between the analysis? can i trust the solidworks analysis, or is it an amature analysis, or can i rely on it? thanks alot.
I'll use an analogy. Comparing Solidworks to ADAMS is like comparing Wordpad to Microsoft Word. You can type up papers in both but Word has tons of more features.
In solid works you can not see the dynamic behaviour of your system, you cant read joint forces or accelerations etc. Kinematic solver of ADAMS is embedded in Solidworks, actually you are still using a limited part of ADAMS when you perform a motion analysis in Solidworks
