That white color on the threads I suppose was glue. If to do professionally i think it would be smart to use glue as well. And maybe to use tork wrench, 40 nm is needed for these bolts if I remember correctly. However I see job was done nicesly, thank you for video.

Service manual torque figures are always recommended, but admittedly I don’t typically use them for the small things. Thanks for watching!

@@nastroazzuro82 The bike has been under heavy braking at several track days since this tutorial. The hand tightening of these small parts is fine.

To push the caliper pistons back, you can also put the old pads back in and use a flat prybar, scraper, or screwdriver to spread the pad apart, recessing the piston.

But then I wouldn’t get to use my cute little baby c-clamps 🤔

Surprised you hadn't upgraded to stainless steel brake lines. Did mine a few years back when I did my pads. Huge difference, almost overpowered braking so bad to relearn braking on the bike a bit. De5no brake fade after ditching rubber brake hoses.

Yep I upgraded the rear to a steel Spiegler several years ago and love it. Just haven’t gotten around to the fronts yet.

I like the new tittle card, cheers for the video mate. I got a whole catalogue of how to fix my fizzer (if need be) thanks to you!
I expect to see a stoppie in your next Fizzer Friday ;)

Hey thank you brudda! Decided to freshen it up with something simple and quick. I’m happy with how it turned out. And hey, maybe if I keep making these tutorials it’ll end up being the entire service manual played out on video! 😆👌

Hi! Are Yamaha original pads organic or sintered? Which would you recommend for fz6r street use? Thanks for the videos...💫💫💫🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍

The Yamaha pads are sintered semi-metallic. They’re just fine for street use, and I actually pushed them very hard on the track for a few track days. If you’re in the market to replace them, definitely go with the EBC pads in this video. They perform identically to Yamaha’s pads on the street, but are also EXCEPTIONAL under high heat and hard braking on the track.

So, how many takes did you need before you could get the caliper reassembled around the pads with a camera in your way? That was actually impressive.

If you dont have brake cleaner, use hot water , a brush and dish soap it work good
