You're replacing Iridium spark plugs with Platinum? For the trouble of labor removing and installing with the cap and other gadgets in/and around the spark plugs, plus you need twice as many per cylinder, I would think paying a little bit more for Iridium or double iridium would be worth the extra cost. I do have to say thank you though for sharing because I needed some idea of what it takes to take apart the cover and what nots to access the spark plugs before I may decide I would just pay someone to do it. This video serves its purpose and I appreciate that.
Thank you for your comment, as for the platinum spark plugs, I honestly prefer to replace them every 30,000 km myself rather than risking of breaking one plug in the cylinder head...
I own a 2000 CLK320 and recently a spark plug went out/died...#1) Spark plug.. I just also bought some MGK double platinums to replace the damaged one.. I want to swap them all out soon in order to make sure I don't burn out another one. But they are sort of expensive so I'll buy a few at a time (need 12 Total) I'm gonna take mine to Local service shop to get the Guarantee work, but they charge 145$ per hour pretty expensive
Awesome car! Congratulations. I have a E320 1997 with m104 engine
Thanks mate, M104 is a great reliable engine too easy to work on as well.

I have a question did you have any problems with back Suspension when driving into a hard bump did it fill like back went to the side
No, the car drives great, no suspension issues at all.
I’m having that issue now just got front suspension done and my back is doing that so you need struts

It is an easy work and satisfying if you could do it yourself, just takes time... I changed mine in 2 days to avoid back pain ;)
Nice video. Thorough! Thank you.
Thank you for Watching mate :)
What is it you spraying at 17:42 and why?
It's only degreaser, to clean the valve cover 17 years of dirt and dried grease is difficult to get rid of with anything else...
What are you using to remove the plugs
Number 17 spanner works, Mercedes has a special tool too.
@9:53 what is your 3/8 connected to
Hello thanks for being so informative, did you have the firing order for the 6 cylinders?
Hi mate, yes check the visual firing order on benz world: www.benzworld.org/threads/where-is-the-first-cylinder-on-my-m112-v6.2142081/
@@MaxReviewss thanks I also found it labeled on top of my engine
I have a 2004 mercedes clk 320c v6 how many Spark plugs
12 Spark plugs.
@@MaxReviewss thanks
You are welcome 😊
How many hours total did this take you to do all 12 plugs.
Should take 4 solid hours :)
It's very important to respect the tightening torque! 20Nm
Torque Specs NGK => Cast Iron: 18-25.3 lb. ft. Aluminum: 18-21.6 lb. ft.
👍
Does it have 12 spark plugs?
Yes, 12 spark plugs and the V8 has 16 of them.
My CLK has 185k KMs original plugs still going fine
All good until you try to remove them... probably now welded to the head...
@@MaxReviewss yes if they are shitty japanese plugs like you put in 🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂
It always amazes that some would put the Shitty cheap Japanese plugs in a fine German car. Un-fukkkking-believable.
As much as I adore sophistication and innovation on German cars and parts, I love Japanese parts and cars for durability, simplicity and reliability.
Japanese cars are way more reliable than these shitty German cars that break down every 500 miles
I think a mechanic is needed here….overtightening a spark plug and snapping it is on the cards.
@@MaxReviewss Bosch double platinum , 150000km no problems and checking x 3 came out with no problems. Don't put Jap scrap spares in a fine German car
