Ive had the remark single walled muffler delete on my 16' WRX for about a year and 20,000 miles and absolutely love it! The rest of my exhaust is stock. This muffler delete is the best one for the money, I believe I paid about $240 during their Black Friday sale. This axle back truly transforms the car and allows it to be much more engaging to drive, making the WRX sound like an actual rally car than the sterile vacuum cleaner sound from the factory. It crackles and pops a lot on down shifts and aggressive high rpm shifts and has no drone at all on the high way. You control the exhaust volume with your foot and the gas pedal. Also, Save yourselves some money and go single wall because all of the carbon build up will turn the inside of the exhaust so black that you won't be able to tell the difference between single and double wall.
I totally agree. I am a detailing nut so I clean the inside of the exhaust tips every other wash lol
Nice work, guys! I really don't mind the Remark - especially considering $$$. I have the Nameless axle back muffler delete and it sounds really similar to this. Money saved has gone towards other goodies for the car. Oh, and yes - get the single wall! My twin wall is a pain in the butt to keep clean.
Cm probably the most accurate description about the remark muffler delete. I was all crazy about buying the double wall 4 inch tips but I just didn’t care and found a good deal on the 3.5 inch single walls. I couldn’t be more satisfied.
Cm Get you a cat less j pipe to go along with that and you’ll fall in love with the turbo whistle.

remark sounds good for what it is
Definitely the Nameless + other mods that go with it give off the genuine Subaru Boxers sound, more prominent. The others have it too, but not too significant. Upon launching, the Nameless gives the full tone throughout, whereas the others dissipates as they go through the gear changes.

Silver car to me has a nice classy sound. For a daily driver at least.
Nameless white and remark blue wrx sounds the most deep and throaty. Comments for the channel is, yoo nice improvement for the intro, I think it has more appeal.✊🏽
I’ve got. ‘16 STi with the ExpremeTi exhaust, MAPerformance intake with a Go Fast Bits BOV. The sound is unreal!!!!
Read to the end you might find this informative. I just picked up and installed the remark 3.5 double wall axle backs for my 2020 WRX after watching so many videos including yours and few things I can say. They look amazing build wise but mine do not get nearly as much pops and bangs on my car maybe they will open up a bit more after some more road time but sound great!. Nevertheless as for installation this is a heads up for my at least for my install.The gaskets that come with the kit are NOT thick enough and will leak like crazy no matter how you align or how tight you crank on the bolts. I called Andy at Remark and he was super helpful. I wound up having to put OEM gasket back in and he sent me 2 more gaskets to double up since in his words 1 is not enough on a lot of installs and has been getting a bunch of calls about that. I had this on and off 10 times before finding that sweet spot where the leaks stopped. Simple install but just keep this in mind when buying them. Great product and support just wish they came with thicker gasket from the start. Cheers 🍻
youre not getting the pop because they have jpipes and have their cars tuned. if its stock, u wont get that much

Still think the muffler deletes overall sound the best. There's a little more whistle audible with the catless j-pipe white car but there's a LOT of reasons not to go catless. If nothing else for a 300 investment the plain Jane deletes definitely are the best option. The R400 is a waste of money. Less fun than a simple delete and a lot more money. Nobody like paying more for less.

@@booskie508 I have a Q300 on a stock exhaust WRX. Sound difference is very minimal. Don't expect to hear any difference unless you got a j pipe on.

@@booskie508 oh hey man sorry for the late reply, I chose the Q300 wanted just a little more noise than stock but didn't want it super loud like the r400, both very good, I just went with the quieter one lol. Definitely if you want more noise r400 hands down

The EJ turbo sounds like a drowning dragon.
When accelerating it's like the dragon is fighting to reach the surface. But then the deceleration sounds like the dragon is going under for good.
None of these cars are EJ. All of these are FA20 turbo

I just recently bought my first 2019 wrx sti. I love it so much. I’m looking to make mine sound more like the white and blue wrx. This may be a dumb question… but out of curiosity what makes the car do all the pops like how all of the cars do in this video? I love all the little pops. But I’m not sure what mod I need to do to make mine sound like that.

I’m getting the rex soon, and I’ve always been a single exit fan. Can you please tell me why other than the look? Cause the look to me (single exit) is a big plus and I think the sound would be more aggressive?
The reason a lot of people like quad exits is because of the symmetrical look with the two exhaust cutouts in the rear. Usually the single exits are too raspy and don't sound the best in terms of sound quality. They're definitely more "agressive" though.
I have the Tomei Expreme TI. Yeah the look is the primary reason I'm considering a switch I actually dig the sound of the Tomei a lot. I did however find out they make exhaust hole deletes where it's basically a plate that covers the exhaust port on the side that doesn't have the single exit. I know subie speed sells them so I'm considering trying that instead of changing it.
I'm a Trek guy atm but been thinking of trading for a Rex. They all sound good

So I snagged a 2018 WRX in January. I have a modded exhaust but I'm not sure which one. If I shot you guys an email with a photo do you think you could tell me? So I’m new to wrx cars. But I have a 2015 wrx (cvt). It has stage 1 Cobb tuning. Could I replace my Cobb exhaust with this r400 indiva cat back?
Catbacks don't need a tune and don't effect tuning at all!

They do make a catback with mufflers now
The axle back doesn't change any of the emissions equipment, just removes mufflers and makes it louder. Unless the law changed saying mufflers must be in place AND be below 95bB, then look for a muffled cat back
I’ve been running Remark Stealth for a year and a half... no issues.
I want the awe catback track edition on my wrx but right now I have a nameless axle back.. it's not quiet. If you dont like your car being loud af I'd go with the r400 keeps it probably way quieter when cruising.

I have the MAP catted jpipe with r400 and i thought it sounded perfect but the GS catted Jpipe with r400 is much much better. Dammit i shouldve went with GS, i have GS everything else i.e. intake, TMIC and Charge pipe 😭
The GS jpipe's cat is farther down next to the flange for the midpipe, and is one peice which helps with accelerating the air flow out the back of the turbo instead of it immediately being restricted by the cat! I never realized how different it is until I heard some others. I'll be doing GS intake and boost controller soon. Tmic further down the line for sure.
I don’t ever see anyone with GS cat back. I have it with cobb catted jpipe. I think it’s subtle and decently loud when I accelerate hard. I live in ny, any louder would not have been ideal. Wonder if I should do a video on it.

Could just be the audio set up, but they all sounded pretty muffled and weak. I LOVE my TB COBB set up. But anything catless is gonna sound be(a)st.
I can't find the black horse racing exhaust anywhere.. is it discontinued? Imo it sounds the best with the remark a close second!
The black horse exhaust is a knockoff of the invidia r400! Those are definitely still available.
Do you guys have tunes for the crackles? How do I get my wrx with an axle back to crackle?
No tune, second gear clutch in rev it a little, make sure the cars warmed up

is the silver one tuned? i have that exhaust and was looking to get the same grimspeed catted jpipe too but kept finding videos that were tuned or had headers. I wanna get the catted grimspeed jpipe and put the new uel on too
For any WRX that adds an aftermarket jpipe or downpipe, it needs a tune! You can use a COBB off the shelf tune for that or an etune. For the new UEL, you'll need a protune.
Any drone on the r400 with catted j pipe?
Not as much as you'd think. It's actually pretty manageable. But yes there is a bit of drone on the highway.

Silver has Cobb stage 2, 91, normal wastegate. White has Cobb stage 2+intake 91.
So sad that FA engine has lost the suby rumble.. they sound so 'normal' now 😭

Any engine is reliable if proper tuned and mantained (ej205 heavily modded owner with 100+k km @active on mods)

Sadly with the new FA engine the rumble is dead.
@@Foleys_Garage OMFG... I just canceled my new mid engine Corvette for the new STI redesign next year and it wont have the rumble? Can't you just change the headers to unequal length? If I can't have the rumble it will be the worst news of my life. I'm a very simple guy I just need the new STI with 750 WHP and the rumble I'm not asking for much here. Please tell me this is possible!!
New sti redesign will not have the rumble. The 2020 will and anything older. You can change the headers but they probably won’t be out fit a while and there are a lot of disadvantages with that style header.
