I loved this movie. Johnny had abandonment issues and he had never been SHOWN love. He didn't know how to love & was not comfortable at all with affection. He'd never had it. Gheorgio taught Johnny how to love. He showed him what patience, caring, kindness, tenderness and love! When they sold that freaking caravan.. I knew Johnny had become a man & was taking charge of his future. Their love is a beautiful thing!

Call me by your name is an amazing film if of course, you read the book first. Watching the movie without reading the book is incredibly confusing because the film does not have the narration of Elio, which the book does have. it will leave you feeling very lost if you do not know the context behind the dialogue. This may not make much sense because a movie is supposed to have a clear and concise plot, but that is the style of the film. I found the movie enlightening, but that may just be because I read the book. I mean no hate, just saying my opinion :)
I’ll have to agree … GOC was way better than CMBYN … Elio was just a summer fling for Oliver … I found that upsetting and took away all the love and passion they had for those brief six weeks … poor Elio was devastated … GOC was a far more intense love story … and it had a happy ending 💜
