I personally like the natural light. So many people workout in straight dungeons! Lol
Yeah, that's a big bonus isn't if? You just can't get it from a basement or garage.
Great space. Was fun to see this evolve on IG
Thank you for your help in the planning process!
One of my favorites!
Only thing I’d add would be a functional trainer and a weight stack pulldown.
That would add more weight than I’d like upstairs. The Surplus Strength UPS does all I need with zero additional footprint.
This is one of the best setups I’ve seen. Everything you need and nothing you don’t. That rack is is SIC! Yes 30 inch depth is all you need.
One of my favorites as well!
That's a gym I would workout in clean no distractions organized. everything you need and nothing more
Totally agree!
Best part for me would be the rack with Surplus Strength's UPS and plate storage. Bonus shout out to the Rogue Jammer Pull Up bar as it's given me plenty of ideas for smaller spaces
The zero additional footprint of the UPS is so awesome. Planning to do a video on it soon as, I have it about 14 months now.
My favorite "part" is the whole spec-build / feng-shui / pieces he knew he wanted based on previous years' experience. Some pics of his old home gym would be sweet to compare.
Checkout my IG. There’s a good number of videos from gym 2.0 and a couple from 1.0.
@@clb121781 Ahh, there it is. Thanks.
The deadlift and Rogue RM-5 rack system. The color was my favorite part.
Love that color!
Not my favorite thing, but I do agree a 5 foot barbell is useful to have. Surprised don't see them more often.
Totally agree! They can be handy, and pretty cheap!
Cool thing is that it’s rackable on the 30” side of the rack!
Deep dishes are my fav. I’m biased as that is my chosen plate, but they are so unique and cool looking. Awesome gym.
They look SO good!!
Always loved the Green racks! Gym is really clean and bright. Nice job Chip!
Great set up! The rack and the matching deadlift platform!
Great setup for sure!
Thanks for the praise and share!
Definitely a nice set up. Well thought out.
@@michaelsutton1461 thank you! Like I mentioned, a year between houses. Living with my in-laws. All I could do was plan 😂😂😂
Very clean and very aesthetic setup
Great set up and such a great neatness aspect to it! I will be sending in my horrible of a mess of a 1 car garage gym to ya but is still in the works and would like suggestions.
Love the wall control layout!
Love the green
So do I!
Love the green! I have the RM6 myself but wish I had the narrowing width for the ease of reracking. Great call there
Green looks soo fresh
Totally agree!
I made a video that I sent you a couple of weeks ago Ricky, but then I realized it was almost 30 minutes long for a rather small garage gym and your videos are always briefer. I guess I went a bit overboard on the description of things. Plus we added a couple of things, so will re-record and send again. But I deleted the link I had sent you a few weeks ago.
Feel free to send another if you’d like!
Long or short, doesn’t really matter - do whatever you’d like!
The IrwinFitnessSupply roller j-cups are an option compared to the ghost ones, shipping to europe is really no big deal, just text them
I haven't seen those!
Needs more beater bars lol. That rack would be perfect with black hardware
Yea, I’m working on updating both of those issues. Selling the rack just to get black zinc and a few more beaters.
I follow this dude on Insta. He’s always posting good stuff. Great setup too
One of the cleanest gyms on the channel!
The elite FTS cambered bar! I came close to buying that but held off until Rep’s cambered bar came out!
Rep’s does look awesome! I’m happy with this though, with no need to change at this point.
@@clb121781 do regular collars fit on them? I originally wanted Kabuki’s Kadillac bar but was sketched out about how tight of a fit it would be in my Rep rack
@@Nick-1828 It’s funny, my Rogue Aluminum collars at $72 don’t. My $11 collars from Amazon do 🤷♂️
Are the wheels on the bench put on backwards on purpose? Did anyone else see that?
They are! I had to flip them around to make it play nicely with the bench prop. Bench only weighs like 30lbs so it’s nothing to move it around.
Dang - good catch! And makes perfect sense Chip!
I think the home gym godfather himself, Brandon Campbell Diamond, coined the term RM-5.
Nick from Homegymhangout coined it. His rack was what convinced me to take that route. Brandon’s is awesome too, for sure!
@@clb121781 I’ve never heard of that channel. I’ll have to give check it out. Thank you for the info. I have and RM3 and have considered making the six post upgrade. I had to edit this post since I didn’t realize you are the guy in video when I originally replied.
Heeey thats figjams gym i know that anywhere lol
It's iconic!
Nice "Rack" innuendo.
Hahaha thank you!
after seeing this, wouldn't mind giving a view of my home gym.
Do it!!
You arms are huge lol
😂🤣😂
tell me why all you guys with such big home gyms don't look like you lift?
There’s different levels to everything. Some people own huge houses and stay on the first floor. Or have a nice extravagant pool but aren’t Olympic swimmers 🤷
@@GarageGymGainz but you can see it on all youtube big home gym channels
this all guys are small and they dont look like they lift and they have as much equipment as in a commercial gym
If they can afford it… why not have it?
@@GarageGymGainz
because it looks silly to comic better focus on training than equipment it is not stamp collection
there are people who develop larger muscles than you on 2 square meters with no equipment
you'd better spend the money on a decent coach and dietitian
because you are one of those who go to the gym for 10 years and look the same
Some people look at building their home gym as a hobby 🤷
I follow these pages on Instagram and UA-cam. Fantastic channel
Thanks!
Not my favorite thing, but I do agree a 5 foot barbell is useful to have. Surprised don't see them more often.
Agreed!
