Great video and great ride. Retiring from the military and moving back CONUS to Florida. This will be the first big ride I make on my mighty adventurized DR650. Can’t wait!
The South is under-represented in BDR's, and despite @XSE256 's protestations, I believe the majority of BDR riders are responsible and appreciate the land and the resources and the populations they ride through and near. Just as hunting and fishing licenses are used to fund sustainability of our wildlife, the BDR likewise funds the lands along the BDR routes. I'm glad I'm next door to this fantastic area, some of which I've actually ridden.
I feel like I’ve been everywhere around those parts. Hope to learn some new roads! As soon as I come back from my MABDR next week I’m gonna take another week off and hit this!
connecting to the SM500, via the KAT, via the Dusty Buzzard, via the TAT, via the GOAT, via the MABDR/PA Wilds, via the NEBDR - East of the Mississippi ADV is not nothing!
Well, way down yonder on the Chattahoochee It gets hotter than a hoochie coochie We laid rubber on the Georgia asphalt We got a little crazy but we never got caught
what's the average size bike for one of these routes? Like, bigger GS? I have a XT250 and wondering if the on-road sections might be too fast/ too much.
This is totally unnecessary. There are already multiple offroad "routes" across North Georgia. We dont need anymore. Also, over 70% of the trails that USED to be here 10 years ago are gone. Why? Because of crap like this, and because of all the people from the Northeast and West Coast moving here and gobbling up the land. You're just adding more commercialization to stuff that doesnt need or want to be commercialized. This is our home, its not a theme park. You're making massive contributions to the problem this place is facing, and we are losing more and more of our land and mountains because of crap like this. STOP. Seriously, reconsider your actions. Because you know what will happen? 99% of the funding that goes into conserving these places comes from local hunters and fishermen whose families have been here for a looooooong time. They will be bothered by your intrusion and they will complain to DNR. Then, DNR will swiftly pass regulations banning any and all vehicle traffic on these roads unless you're in hunting season doing hunting activities. They've already done this to over half of the trails we had here because of actions of people like you guys - people who arent from here but want to use OUR land for your own selfish gain. DNR and the local FS office has already shut down significant portions of the Georgia Traverse and the Smokey Mountain 500. They will shut this down too. This place should be kept secret, not advertised as some giant party for any and all people to ride through. Guys, stop this. You're ruining our land and our home. And we didnt ask you to do this either. Respect the locals and please cease and desist any further efforts to expand the BDR's in the southeast. You are not welcome here.
Settle down dude. These are public roads and most users I know practice leave no trace principles. Your efforts would be better spent going after the people that are using the forest as a dumping ground.
Let me see if I have this right. You don't want outsiders to use public land because locals will complain and then locals won't be able to enjoy public land. Seems like your issue is with locals who complain. Either share or nobody uses it, and I'm a half day drive away. Am I forbidden?
When I rode the SD bdrx I saw very few others on the trail, great erosion control methods, leave no trace practice, and I spent a few hundred $ cash locally to support small businesses. The group that rides bdr trails is typically the more responsible group....I think that's a win for everyone.
Great to watch my talented daughter and her friends enjoying themselves and inspiring others.
YEEEESSSSSS! East coast BDR-X!!!! And just before I go into the army. This will be my last adventure of freedom before shipping.
Thank you for all you guys do for the community!
Awesome that it includes Two Wheels of Suches and Sunrise Grocery. Always points to hit when I head to that area.

There he is, The Man, The Legend, Kirk Lakeman! With his banker glasses on
Hey, don't be pickin' on my buddy Kirk. 😂
It looks like half these roads and stops are from the Smokey Mountain 500. Can't wait to try this route out!
My backyard! Definitely recognize a good bit of these roads! Awesome guys! Super excited about this!!
Ditto!!!
You know it brother!
Looking forward to seeing how many sections they ride - that we call home :)
Wow Kirk..that is AWESOME!
I can’t wait for this! I live just a couple hours away!

Late September!!!! Can't wait to get there.
Definitely looks like a winner!
I wonder how much of this over laps with the Smokey mountain 500
That was my thought. Probably a good bit?
Welcome to my playground. Nice to see familiar territory on a BDR vid.
So happy to live here!
Awesome!
Awesome
This route is going to be RAD! Thanks @ridebdr for all your work and time spent on these routes.
Hell yes!

There is an extra 'space' after 'Adventure' in the description.
Is this getting released today????
Is this the GA Traverse?

Can't wait to do this on my old KLR and show these dudes with money how it's done!
No need to hate. Nothing wrong with having something nice if you can afford to do it responsibly.
You go girl
@turdferguson2863
I was thinking the same thing, only I’d be on my 1981 R80g/s.

“Your” land?

Do you do us the favor of not riding any other BDR routes or are you crowding up those areas with your negative attitude?
