I started playing Kayo to help me get better with aim and game sense. Forcing people to lose their util so they need to gun fight gives me plenty of practice. And using his flashes helps me learn how to clear and create space.
Kayo sova or any agent with awesome util not necessarily for frags will absolutely help ppl get better at the game. Ppl don’t need to instalock duelist to frag out, and you’ll learn faster without abilities that get you out of tight spots
One more tips i think help me a lot is also a shift in mindsets. Just play like it's a game and learning your mistake everytime. Don't feel too hard on myself and being toxic to teammates for better in-match comms.
watching pro player gameplay or videos that explain that gameplay helps a lot I picked up a few skills (though still very primitive rn) that helped a lot (im s1/s2) like keeping track of general plays that enemies do (who flanks, rushes, lurks, etc), head-glitch spots (like the box in mid peeking into elbow on breeze, or corner of rafters in A from screens side peeking belt on icebox), and game sense (predicting what the enemy will do based on what info you have, this one has been super useful)
Just by learning, training, and focusing more on the basics i've just done b2 --> s3 on my first act, now that the new act is out imma try to go gold/plat 😇
Been tryna get out of bronze but I came here for tips for every rank just for future reference cause I feel like I’ll rank up relatively quick. I’m going like 40-10 in games so I feel like I’m a couple divisions better than bronze
Mr. Konpeki. My issue with ranking up is inconsistency. I started in iron made my way to D1 soloQ after a couple years. During my ranked games i would have games where i top frag and MVP and am getting a lot of value. Then the very next game I'm bottom leaderboard not able to even get a kill. I dont put too much emphasis on KDA i try to be more supportive for my team as a KJ or Initiator. My mechanics are decent, I know what most of the abilities do and how to avoid them. I know how to use my own abilities and play off teammates and their abilities. Even with all this i still struggle to keep a good score line and help my team win. I'm currently hovering in gold rank after coming back after 8 months of absence. I came back and shot up to g2 where i have been having trouble just staying positive and getting kills when i need to. When I'm 3/11 on round 12 and my team starts saying I'm useless and berating me for my score line it drains my mental so fast and then its a downhill tumble. I mute them but the damage is done and i feel like a useless member of the team.
Lost me at 8-10h a day for 2 months. So 600+ hours in 2 months? Im lucky I get 8h a week working a normal life. Guess I'm a hard stuck silver zoomer. Can't contest with people who's lives are sitting in front of a game.
I think the problem is diamond players were placed in gold when the episode start and they still haven’t grind comp yet. My problem is matchmaking should be balanced and they should be playing with diamond players where they supposed to be. They have diamond gun buddies and saw their tracker too.
I got back to valorant after playing r6 for so long and my chess mindset in r6 carried over to valorant so even tho my aim isnt the best rn my gamesense and positioning is helping me get the enemies off guard
i think its funny how the longest segment is silver/gold. Gold is honestly the HARDEST rank to get out of. It's a mix of silver teammates vs diamond enemies
To guys who are still stuck in iron and bronze even tho u use all ur ability and coms then focus on spray pattern (vandal) dont try to one tap but hold mouse button and fire 4 bullets
Hey everyone! I’m currently diamond 2 and I climbed from silver 3 to diamond in 2 months on an old laptop using an office mouse with a bad sensor. It’s definitely possible to get good with a bad setup if you are dedicated to improving.
I don't think there is any set method to climbing ranks in valorant because 1. you will get matched with smurfs frequently 2. you will have teammates that have higher ranks but no skills to back that 3. you will in almost every match get players whose ego will put the team in a bad place. no matter how much you skill up these things will put you at a disadvantage For me I started ranking up easily when my aim and movement surpassed those who were in rank higher than me for example if you are in plat and you can easily dominate a diamond you will have an easy time on that lobby. You should avoid ranked matches if you feel you are getting dominated , it's time to hit DM then
Well, Riot can't really fix smurfing even the other game, we can't blame them, surfing is a serious issue in gaming, But I think, riot should change the rank placement instead based on your skill
Hey, ive been stuck Bronze 1 for a long time, then I realized that the games where I was having the most fun were the one where I was the best, just by laughing with teamates I was able to hit bronze III kinda easly
0:58. But if you have a bad setups or a bad internet, what can you do? A lot of people live in a 3rd world countries. Personally I live in tunisia and the average ping for me is 100ms. I know i can't really do much about it, but I still want to get better at Valorant, what shoud I do?
anything below 130 ms is fine for valorant because bullets are registered client side, just follow the advice in this video your ping shouldn’t be an issue
Just train harder and play around your strenghts. I played Counter-Strike on potato pc (unstable peak average 25fps) and 170ping average and managed to reach Master Guardian Elite before upgrading my setup. So just play more and find what you should or should not do to win duels & use utilities to your advantage.
First off that's an exaggeration, tbh I only encountered smurf 10-15 times, I have been playing for a year now. Second off high elo can't just get into low elo games other than stacking with low elo friends, "smurfs" are usually just 1 rank higher
Coming from an iron 1 I first thought "oh it's an old video with outdated tips" but I realised it wasn't. I feel like the more you move into the higher ranks, the less you understand the lower ones, as most people know the maps, the crosshair placement, shooting error etc in iron so whilst this video is good for tips for most ranks, I think a bit of input from the lower ranks can make it more helpful/realistic. I may be wrong about this though, and am happy to hear suggestions!
It's pretty accurate for the lower ranks though. (below plat). The lower ranks kinda don't have any fundamentals so in any game you play, the best tip is to work on fundamental mechanics. - Spraying - Spray Transfer - Flicking - Micro Flicking / adjusting - Crosshair placement - Tapping - Bursting - Strafing - Aerial Strafing ^ Learn all these and it's basically get out of low rank card in FPS games. The more advanced mechanics are things like having high velocity flicking and precision angle clearing while strafing type of things but those are WAYYY too hard if you can't do all the above properly, hence why no one strays away from saying to learn the basics in videos.
My only problem is in iron bronze and silver your all ways going to have problems higher ranks don’t have like smurfs, people selling and a team that can’t do anything. If riot fixed that then it might be easier to rank up and make it more fun and make it not feel like a risk that your going to lose elo and get flamed every time you que into comp.
1:09 what do you mean spray patterns. That shit is pure rng honestly insane how that's still a thing in val when its blueprint has had preset spray patterns for more that a decade
Its not rng lol😂, try to shoot 10 times with a vandal and try again, if you didnt move your mouse the result will be the same, the only thing that is rng is sniper without zoomin in
Worst thing is most players mindset is that if i get mvp even if we loose we get less -RR instead of holding most players just jumping for kills and dying
I'm hard stuck ascendant, I solo q every single game and most of my games no one communicates with me, so I go into site with no info , get baited all the time, sometimes it's my aim that's the problem, sometimes its my decision of doing something, but matter what i do ,I can't get out of ascendant 1
you should make a guide of getting out of bronze/silver but on EU servers cuz they are sweaty like the enemy team consists of 5 clones of tenz himself one tapping you the milisecond you appear on their screen while your team is full of people who barely downloaded the game and went straight to ranked (ive tried 5 stacking with my friends but they are all plat so it puts me into a lot higher level lobbies)
I am in the potential 1% of vod reviewing my game play to see how I can get better. Solo q to diamond took me forever, I do think ascendant is possible but sometimes the game is tough to grind out.
If you lost a round found out why. You didn’t lose for no reason, what did the enemy team do that made them win, what did you do that made you lose, how could you have helped your team more? Reflect on that and fix it, if you’re in a low rank, iron - diamond then this is the best way to rank up from an immortal 3 peak
My plat and diamond friends said that I deserve gold and ppl often think that Im smurfing, but Im a broze myself, they were amused on why am I still bronze (Im soloquing btw) 😅😅 and idk anymore lol but they told me to try playing at higher fps pc and monitor
I hit platinum on episode 5 and quit. wanted to get back again and started to play for rank calibration and placed silver just a week ago. Any tips on what to focus?cuz i suck really bad right now.
Warming up is important, do some death matches 2 games minimum so your sim is warmed up and your crosshair placement too, and ALWAYS play with confidence the second you doubt yourself is the second you lose the game.
Ex gold 2 now hardstuck silver 1-3/bronze 3 player here. I have been playing since the beta, When i deranked to silver i began thinking what im i doing wrong? Came to the conclusion that i really have a hard time around Positioning and Fast decision making. The problem with these 2 are that i am not sure how to improve them so i'm pretty much stuck. Also i started to accept now that i'm in bronze (had no idea micro-adjustment existed 1:40) about my faults and see it as an opportunity to improve. But i just dont know how to work around 2 weaknesses it being Decision Making and Positioning. (I have been called out on it multiple times by my teamates) Normally i play Astra, Harbor and Skye. But i also have been playing lately Deadlock and in the past i played Killjoy and Sage. I would say my most positive qualities i have are 1. Communication, 2. Anticipating where people are, basically tracking down enemies and abilities. Also playing around people is something i do often. I just improved picking angles a week ago and rotation. My aim is not exactly the best but neither the worst my abilities and gamesense are well. 6:34 I probably would be the 3rd class in my current rank. I really would appreciate help into decision making and positioning as they are very little things but hard stuff for me to do.
i know im gonna sound like that guy who blames his team mates, but i genuinely do believe its them. I play well almost every game, play objective every round (not just going for kills), i try my best to play off teammates to increase chances of winning a round, yet no matter how good i perform, im always losing. the scoreboard will often be me carrying everyone on my team, and im not even that great of a player. My losing streak is shearly up to dreadful teamates
as an iron player, i play on 80 fps TOPS, and that was implemented so that my game doesn’t freeze in the middle of a execute (which is basically just a five man firing squad coming through a choke point) and it still freezes sometimes. It’s honestly sad.
my main issue rn when im in diamond is that my pc is too ass to record and play, like it doesn't lag that bad while playing but the footage it self is unwatchable
I just completed my first 5 comp matches in valorant. I played solo and got gold 3 is that good? This is my first time ever playing a game like valorant
I placed gold in the beta and have been plat 1 since the game came out. I recently had a bad game streak and went down to gold 2. I’m back now to plat but I see no changes. How do I get better?

just try implementing that in unrated then go to ranked

anything below 130 ms is fine for valorant because bullets are registered client side, just follow the advice in this video your ping shouldn’t be an issue
9:15 the mario cart wii theme hits different.
1:20 "it sounds so basic but thats all you really need to get out of bronze and hit silver" when i was bronze there were like 2 plat smurfs per game
First off that's an exaggeration, tbh I only encountered smurf 10-15 times, I have been playing for a year now. Second off high elo can't just get into low elo games other than stacking with low elo friends, "smurfs" are usually just 1 rank higher
@@themasterfan14 I am plat and I often play with my lower ranked friend's account
- Spraying
- Spray Transfer
- Flicking
- Micro Flicking / adjusting
- Crosshair placement
- Tapping
- Bursting
- Strafing
- Aerial Strafing
^ Learn all these and it's basically get out of low rank card in FPS games.
I have a 28 fps setup with fps drops to 2-5 sometimes
But I am silver 2 and I will make it to gold someday🤗
1:09 what do you mean spray patterns. That shit is pure rng honestly insane how that's still a thing in val when its blueprint has had preset spray patterns for more that a decade
Its not rng lol😂, try to shoot 10 times with a vandal and try again, if you didnt move your mouse the result will be the same, the only thing that is rng is sniper without zoomin in
Broo it's so helpful I was hardstuck iron but i became silver! In maximum 3 matches idk how I got like double rankup
7:00 just as clove said
Worst thing is most players mindset is that if i get mvp even if we loose we get less -RR instead of holding most players just jumping for kills and dying
Konpeki why did you stop going live on twitch
0:58 Bro called me out 😭😭😭
One thing that makes me hardstuck
" School"
i went from iron 1 to immortal 3 in 8 months
and been hardstuck immortal 3 for 18 months now
Did you copy Kanpeki's name??
I believe konpeki means perfect in Japanese so not a copy. just a word
What do I do when my random ranked team mates are legitimately brain dead
My laptop crashing and i deranked from bronze 1 to iron 1
Keep going bro, about to make it out myself
thx so you becamed my fav youtuber
Rem valorant needs to take tips from this guy
Don’t let this distract you from the fact that you could save 15% or more on car insurance when you switch to GEICO
Am hardstuck gold and i keep getting teamates when i pop off while being a smoker and my duelist just keeps going out of nowhere
How to you vod yourself if you dont know what is right in a situation huh
If you lost a round found out why. You didn’t lose for no reason, what did the enemy team do that made them win, what did you do that made you lose, how could you have helped your team more? Reflect on that and fix it, if you’re in a low rank, iron - diamond then this is the best way to rank up from an immortal 3 peak
i'm stuck iron and bronze, i can do basics mechanics. but no the game won't let me touch silver
My plat and diamond friends said that I deserve gold and ppl often think that Im smurfing, but Im a broze myself, they were amused on why am I still bronze (Im soloquing btw) 😅😅 and idk anymore lol but they told me to try playing at higher fps pc and monitor
Dude anyone like me Is facing either Smurf’s or people who throw ur game or 4v5s right now I’m silver 1😅
I know what to do... I just forget 💀
If only I could do a vod review. This is why they need a replay system. Not everyone can have a recording software working with this game.
The animal crossing soundtrack in the back makes this video so peaceful to watch. Thank you.
(I have been called out on it multiple times by my teamates)
Normally i play Astra, Harbor and Skye.
"When you are at Iron or Bronze, it just takes time and practice" Me with 160 hours and still fucking iron 3
Skill issue
Ever tried the quick bet feature on 4ra? Fastest way to jump in the game!
For us bronze players 2:18 is enough video to watch
i know im gonna sound like that guy who blames his team mates, but i genuinely do believe its them. I play well almost every game, play objective every round (not just going for kills), i try my best to play off teammates to increase chances of winning a round, yet no matter how good i perform, im always losing. the scoreboard will often be me carrying everyone on my team, and im not even that great of a player. My losing streak is shearly up to dreadful teamates
i am between b3 and s1 and my games go mostly 3v5 against a smurf with someone screeching down the mic as if their guts being ripped apart
Dont u wanna reach the smurfs skill level at some point anyways?
If u manage to compete w that smurf then the other enemies will be easy
Im gold 1 and still need to work on the basics you covered in iron/bronze tips
as an iron player, i play on 80 fps TOPS, and that was implemented so that my game doesn’t freeze in the middle of a execute (which is basically just a five man firing squad coming through a choke point) and it still freezes sometimes. It’s honestly sad.
my main issue rn when im in diamond is that my pc is too ass to record and play, like it doesn't lag that bad while playing but the footage it self is unwatchable
fuck everything dude, I just wanna play with my friends having fun
I just completed my first 5 comp matches in valorant. I played solo and got gold 3 is that good? This is my first time ever playing a game like valorant
i was gonna do this and try to get to immortal but I realized that I actually like to be outside so I'm good with plat
as an hard stuck silver 2, I always forget to check Corners while peeking, i dont have any aim Issue.
I placed gold in the beta and have been plat 1 since the game came out. I recently had a bad game streak and went down to gold 2. I’m back now to plat but I see no changes. How do I get better?
