- Marcel Veens (Horticultural Advisor) and Anton Jongerius (Fruitconsult) give a demonstration of 'click' pruning in pear trees.
This demonstration video was filmed at the Pear Masterclass, which is part of APAL's Future Orchards® program, on 29 July 2016.
This video was produced by APAL and funded by Horticulture Innovation Australia Ltd using the apple and pear industry levy funds from growers and funds from the Australian Government.
WOW. Thanks. I've seen different ways to prune the pear, but you method makes more sense.
Best 🍐 pruning advice yet. Thanks!
Thanks for the video. That's what do some years now. Now I can give that pruning technique a name :-)
Amazing information. I just pruned my inherited pear trees this winter. Wish I knew this information before I did them.
beautiful garden
The sleeping bud grows 3 weeks after what.?? After the other growth starts(?) perhaps.?🤔
Would be so much more helpful with a close up of the types of buds and cuts
Can click pruning work on apple trees the same way?I believe it will and I have started pruning my apple trees this way.
Thanks alot for this generous information.
Please make some more videos on pruning apple trees both young and old.
Great explanations, but I have one question, in Croatian pruners said that on pear trees one year lateral branches must stay, (it s not aloud to cut them????
