    I know a few people who never find bottle dumps, and would be thrilled to have some '30s ones (mainly myself)...

    • @BottleNed
      @BottleNed  Рік тому +2

      Yeah the 30s stuff is cool in a different way than an antique bott - more like Americana / advertising / pop art. But when you’re sweating for the early western glass, and know how cool it is when you find it, you’re not even thinking about that age - you just bypass it to get to the older stuff. But if I had all the time in the world, I’d definitely dig up everything in the world lol

    I thought that Philip & Philip smelled. Fruitvale and Elmhurst is the Oakland area of East Bay SanFran.
    Fruitvale (and Elmhurst are modern subdivisions of greater Oakland), previously known as Fruit Vale, and originally as Brays, CA.
    Era Druggists' Directory :
    Volume 11 (1905) missing
    Volume 12 (1906) Philip and Philip at Fruitvale in Oakland
    Volume 13 (1908) Philip and Philip at E 14th and Fruitvale Ave at Fruitvale
    Volume 14 (1910) Philip and Philip at Fruitvale
    Volume 15 (1911) missing in Fruitvale and Oakland
    Volume 17 (1913-1914) Dawsons Drug at E 14th and Fruitvale Ave (sold to another) missing
    Volume 18 (1916) Philip & Philip 1408 Fruitvale Ave
    Volume 19 (1921) Phillips & Phillips back at 1401 Fruitvale Ave (E 14th and Fruitvale Ave (maybe another NW, SW, NE, SE corner)
    1911 appears like a missing entry, Volume 16 (1912) is not available.
    So Philip & Philip of Fruitvale (Elmhurst area of Oakland) appear to have started in 1906 ... continuing past 1921 of current documentation

    Dude, omg! I was just typing "if you eat that much lasagna, you will get bowel cancer or something". Then you say it gave you got a bowel obstruction instead. Geez man, I will never understand why you Americans eat the things & way you do. Just the volume of food people over there eat in one sitting, is mind blowing to the rest of the world. When I went to Texas, I had to order from the Kid's menu, cos the size of the adult meals was just bonkers! & I'm a large fella. Only an American would think it's an okay idea to eat that much grilled cheese, over such a long period. Even if you didn't think eating that much cheese would clog your intestines, surely you knew it could clog up your arteries? Weren't you sweating grease out of every pore? I just don't get the gluttony of people in the States. Like those disgusting eating contests. They're vulgar and pretty damn offensive, when you consider that most people in the world can't afford to eat one meal a day, little own have so much food & resources that they've turned binge eating into a sport. I just can't get my head around it. Cheese that is melted when you eat it, but then goes hard when it cools down, is how you line your blood vessels with plaque. It goes into your blood stream thinned out, then as it cools, it hardens onto the sides of your arteries. Called "arthrosclerosis". Lasagna is a once a fortnight or once a month food. Same with pizza. Anything with cheese that melts. Cheeses that are already soft to start with, like feta or cottage-cheese, aren't bad for you in the same way. Do you think it's just a lack of education thing, with all the poor eating & obesity in North America? Like the same reason that so many there believe in gods & spirits etc? Scientific knowledge doesn't seem commonplace for people, like it is in other places in the west. Maybe this adds to why people think they can eat whatever, rather than being educated that humans are primates, and thus we need to eat more naturally. There just wasn't melted cheese & highly saturated fats in our evolutionary history, and there hasn't been enough time for out guts to adapt to eating all the processed junk that Americans invented & have infected the rest of the world with. Like McDonalds & KFC. That's why people pay the price for eating such unnatural junk foods. America is so advanced in so many ways, but so ignorant in others. I think I just heard that 40% of the population in the States is obese. That is just insane. Food does not taste better than living a long life, or being able to wash yourself without having to use a rag on a stick, like ua-cam.com/video/jSJQEl5vcAo/v-deo.html
