I have a bit of a weird theory now I know the time gaps are really big! But here it is!: bob evolved into slytunkhummun the 1st! I know it sounds very weird but here is how I came up with it when I was playing thieves in time one of the treasures in clan of the cave raccoon there is a slytunkummun vase! As one of the treasures so basically bob learned about making vases ,learned how to make better canes ,learned how to write ,learned how to cut his fur and moved into Egyptian civilisation! Maybe he saw the clothes of the pharaohs and used they clothes! That’s it I hope you liked it and thank you for taking the time to read this thanks!

Sly's prehistoric ancestor "Bob Cooper" is most certainly his oldest ancestor but since he couldn't write down his thieving techniques it was likely passed down through the generations by word of mouth. Then once it came to Sly's Egyptian ancestor he chose to write down these techniques thus creating the thieveius racoonus. Over the numerous generations, someone decided to put it together in a book but most likely was gradually updated over time. The book sly owns isn't the original but perhaps a new version of the very first one since it would be a stretch if that book could survive from ancient Egypt.
The gang finds sly who is now slytunkhamen (slys new name) and time travel to him. Sly has been busy stealing and is the best of the Egyptian age, which sparks a certain insane owls rage since he is the second best. Sly and Carmelita live in ancient Egypt where they can start new lives away from the future, thinking that since sly is Slytunkhamen they must start the line of slys ancestors. Turns out that Penelope has been there all along and captured slys first known ancestor without counting bob cause that would mess with earlier evens important to Penelope by messing with the time line of sly 4. Sly and the gang save him but before they get to Penelope she tells the owl character that the only way to get revenge at cooper is to become immortal, making him into clockwork. Penelope is defeated, maybe even by the insane clockwork who kills anyone whom is a threat to him. Sly and gang know they can't mess with clockwork cause that would mess up the time line. Sly teaches the new slytunkhamen, slys ancestor, invisibility and Bentley writes it all down in a book, the thievius raccoonus, and slytunkhamen writes his name. They decide that they must leave this time period, slys ancestor takes his place as slytunkhamen. Clockwork finds slytunkhamen but sees that this is not the sly he is looking for, not the one he hates. He knows of the time travel and knows this is why Penelope said he must become immortal to defeat sly. So he waits and always hunts for the real sly in time. As the gang travels in time, they find that the immortal clockwork is all throughout it. Sly and the gang + carmelita, now seeing that they are the writers of the thievius raccoonus, travel though time to write it with the ancestors while always on the run from Clockwork. This is why clockwork never kills any of the ancestors, he only wants to kill sly, hating him more and more as time goes on. These would be the levels in the game, they would spend time a little time with the ancestors we already saw and with more ancestors we have not, defeating mini bosses with them while running away from clockwork and sly could maybe teach them some moves. They run out of places to go and travel to the time of slys parents. When they get their they only find a very old tennessee, whos son Conner was killed by a "new york 1920s like" mob boss. Sly takes on the identity of Conner to take out this evil guy. After that tennessee makes his part in the thievius raccoonus and sly take the identity of Conner, makes the Cooper vault etc... all the stuff slys "dad" did and Carmelita has their son, who is also sly. They have a few good years to spend raising sly. The whole gang prepares for the night they know will come, that is when clockwork catches up and kills slys parents (who are actually sly and Carmelita). Don't know how they do it, but maybe they replace the young panda king with the old one or maybe the old panda king convinces the young panda king to keep them alive for his own future, but they make clockwork think sly (Conner) and Carmelita are dead even though they aren't. Clockwork keeps young sly alive because he recognizes him as sly, the one from Egypt who he hates so much. This makes sense because clockwork wants to prove himself better than sly in all ways, so he wants him to grow up so that he can defeat him then. The timeline goes on with young sly as it did in sly one and the cycle is complete. Sly (Conner) and Carmelita, who are both still alive travel with the whole gang back to the future clear of the timeline. Sly and Carmelita now with the timeline fixed, clockwork out of the picture and safe in their proper time line live happily ever after...returning to crime and police work of course ;) and secretly working together to bring down other bad guys and raising another child. This does not mean that Carmelita might not try to arrest sly while she is on the job of course :)
+WithinTheSHadOWz It's pretty cool of you to share all this :D It was an interesting read! However, if Sly replaced himself with his ancestor, who could it be? They would need to time travel before Ancient Egypt. If Sly was truly his own ancestor Slytunkhamen, then that would mean his ancestor would be his great great grand-father who technically lives in the future... this is getting confusing XD. Penelope being involved with Clockwerk's transformation does not sound crazy at all, seeing as to how she easily betrayed the gang in Sly 4. Tenesse kid Cooper lived around the 1850s, we assume. There's a huge time gap between Tenesse's time and Sly parents time. Tenesse's son would probably be way to old to be Connor. We don't know their exact ages, so we can't really tell who's who after all. Your theory about Clockwerk spying on Sly is interesting; remember those easter eggs in Sly 4, where we would see Clockwerk through time ;)? About Carmelita's son, it's like saying she dated her son in the future, now that would be one awkward mess XD; however, her simply raising young Sly could be possible; maybe his biological parents weren't around. I keep asking myself, how has this game turned into The Game Theorists XD?
Haha yeah I would say that it would all be pretty weird and they probably won't go that crazy with it and all with carmelita technically being slys mom. That kinda just be odd. Well the thing is with what I was saying about slytunkhamen, while sly WAS slytunkhamen, the actual cooper ancestor living in the time period did eventually become slytunkhamen. Sly was just the first to use the name. Like just to fit in with his surroundings in Egypt sly starts using by the name of his "ancestor" slytunkhamen because he knows it is an Egyptian name. After the gang leaves the Egypt to escape clockwork, slys Egyptian ancestor that they met, whatever his actual name really is, takes on the name of slytunkhamen because of its reputation that sly built (plus since they look alike everyone thinks he is slytunkhamen, accept for clockwork who sees through it) As far as Tennessee and Conner though, I think Tennesse was born around 1860, think we see him in around 1885ish during the games... so in the 1920s 1930's he'd be around 60 or 70 which could work. His son if born around lets say 1900 would be in his 20's or 30's it would all work out. Maybe to get around the whole carmelita being slys parents thing conner could be the son of the cooper who dies in the 1920s and 1930s and sly gets to see his dad as a kid being raised by his grandpa Tennessee. That could be kind of cool, sly would have to comfort his dad about the death of HIS dad. Kinda crazy and meta since sly went through the same sort of thing. Just think a level in that time period would be really killer. Bad guy could be like the "Dogfather" to make a reference back to sly one lol. Then maybe the sly and carmelita switche out with conner and his wife as slys parents to protect them from clockwork, since sly is who clockwork is really looking for, and then do the thing were they trick him into thinking they are dead and slys parents idk That would be less weird but hey thats just a theory.. My mind was blown when you were explaining the last theory. It does kinda make sense though since in Sly 2 during the winter events in the Jean Bison level Bentley did make it so Sly's canes cane split into two so he can climb better on the ice walls. So you might have just explained the last events of the franchise. What if the last theory was actually really happening and Sanzaru saw this and they are just like"WAIT WE NEED TO RETHINK THIS WHOLE GAME!". Congrats on 3000 man! Can't wait to see the next video!

VTNVIVI Ancient Egypt would most likely be the first episode setting in the game so Sly giving Slytunkhamen his canes may not be the brightest option but maybe at the end of the game if Sly meets him agian
I think Sanzaru and Sucker Punch should both work together for Sly 5. But the Sly fans needs to keep tweeting, messaging, emailing, writing letters to Sony asking them to let Sly 5 be developed. Look at the Crash Bandicoot franchise, they've bugged Sony for years and hopefully this E3 will finally be the announcement for Crash. And I assumed most Crash fans are fans if Sly Cooper too (like me). We just need to keep Sly Cooper talked about and never start to think negatively like saying R.I.P Sly Cooper, because that's just stupid, Sony might see that and think we don't care anymore. But Sony do need to market the franchise more, I have never seen an advert on TV or anything for Sly. An animated series would help introduce younger kids to the franchise, maybe it could just be based on the stories of the Sly games and maybe a few new stories and characters. Sly deserves to be as popular as other games. COME ON SLY COOPER FANS! LET SONY KNOW WE LOVE THE SERIES STILL!!!!!!!
I asked myself that at one point, why not have both developers work on it? Some loved Sucker Punch's work, other preferred Sanzaru's, it would be one awesome collab! I hope the movie gains enough exposure (better advertisement), that way Sony might realize that there's still fans out there.

History would only repeat itself or cause creations of other time lines because centuries would pass until Sly would be born and then he would go back in time and do the same thing again... I don't think that Sly Cooper is actually Slytuntkhamen Cooper the inventor of the Thievius Raccoons as a plot twist. I only except that Sly will meet Slytuntkhamen in Sly Cooper 5, and then Slytuntkhamen will be a brand new side playable character along with Sly, Bentley, Murray and Carmelita in Sly Cooper 5 that works in development for exclusively on PlayStation 5.
Woooow I just remembered the dream I had about the Thievius Ratcoonus. Somebody wanted it, and it was being made into the book with white paper, and the daughter wouldn't let nobody take her father's work. It was awesome.
I don’t believe Slytunkhamen made his cane based off of sly and here’s why. My theory is the canes he is shown with were ones that belonged to a pharaoh or someone of importance that he stole them from and after some use he adopted it as his cane thus continuing the possible cane legacy and starting the legacy of that design. Looking at Egyptian history, you can see sarcophagi and statues of an individual holding something cane shaped, or hook shaped depending how you see it. But it’s pretty similar to how the cooper cane looks. So historically it would make sense for those to be around just “cooper shaped” if you will. And explains the possible gold design as well because Egyptians loved using gold for designs. So as likely as it is the two will meet, I firmly believe that Slytunkhamen started the lineage of the design.
Actually in Sly 2: Band of Thieves in the 2nd Episode "Menace From the North, Eh?" which has Jean Bison in it you can climb walls of ice by SPLITTING HIS CANES IN TWO?! I never truly got how that was possible but its a game were talking about anyways maybe he got it from sly to have canes like that if they were climbing a sandstone wall possibly I personally think that it is likely possible how Slytukhamen's canes were inspired c:
I think ur theory is way to advanced/complicated for suckerpunch to make that up. I mean no other Sly game have had such a plottwist or braincrusher so i dont think this is an actual idea. But great video ;)

Slytunkhamen was the creator of the Thievius Raccoonus, and the one who started the Cooper thief legacy, as apparently none of his own ancestors before him had written down any of their exploits. Sometime during his life, he had a child, Slytunkhamen II, who went on to build the Cooper Vault. Let me get this right? Slytunkhamen I was the first Cooper of all time? Slytunkhamen was considered the first until Sly 4 happened. Slytunkhamen is the creator of the book yes, I always think he started off by writing on scrolls. As years went by, these scrolls got converted into a book. If not, how did the pages hold still after all these years?
in sly 3 in the cooper vault we see most of Sly's ansessrters.then in sly 4 we see some of the anssesters mentioned but what about the others like hnretta one eyed cooper we never met so if Sony agree to sly five maybe they will call it sly cooper back to the future or something and Carmelita is on a mission in a museum because something was stolen. when she goes in the Egypt exsibit she sees on one of the at a facts Sly's symbol ingraved into it she calls bently and when he is sure he is in Egypt bently with his new time machine go back in time to go rescue him.once they get there the machine breaks and Bentley is fixing it with parts of the recage from the blimp and spare parts while carmalita finds sly .once she finds him they stop the bad guy then have to travel through time taking small stops because of the damage like to Henrietta's,otto van cooper,Thaddius Winslow cooper,slaigh mucooper and hopefully conner cooper eras so that then they can get back to there time.

Sly Cooper is Slytunkhamen from the future back into the past who usurps the power from the Pharoahs. This is the greatest heist in Cooper history because not only does he take the throne from Pharoahs establishes the Cooper legacy, making them legit. Thats what the next game is going to be about. Hopefully developers at Sanzaru work together with Sucker Punch to bring this to life. That would be great.
But also with sly being slythunkamen theory, why would they make throughout the games this relationship between sly and carmelita just to end like thst and thst also means that sly fell in love with someone else because slythunkamen had a chikd

I think I can mend the sly is tukhanmon theory, sly's father made his cane in inspiration of tuk's. So because sly's cane is his father's, it would make sense of the two canes tuk has two canes. Also tuk could also exist in this theory, but tuk dies. So after tuk's death, sly finds out that the book hasn't been written yet, so he takes up his name and writes the book. Thus sly cooper is sly tukhanmon.

I realize time travel has timey whimey bs (and frankly is probably the worst plot point ever invented) but Sly couldn't be Slytunkhamen because of lineages. Theoretically the bloodline goes from Bob, down through time to Sly. For this plot point to work, Sly would have to be the first cooper to create an appropriate time loop. If he traveled back to somewhere in the middle, that would automatically mean that Bob-whomever was before Slytunkahmen would actually not be related to them. More likely, Sly is a family name-- even more likely is that Sucker Punch put Slytunkhamen as the first originally with a similar name to Sly to do like a first and last trope.
Dude i love it, Sly is Slytunkamen (there is no way i spelled that right but who cares). Also Penelope is Clockwerk as u said in another video. To be honest I hope they make a Sly Cooper film series and Sly 4 is the last movie. Sly falls from the blimp and lands in ancient egypt and he realizes hes got to start the Cooper legacy. Then Penelope escapes from jail travels back in time to stop Sly. Meanwhile Bently and Murray cant find Sly and they come to realize that the time travel machine is dangerous and then they destroy it. Well now Penelope is stuck in the past and realizes she must become clockwerk and haunt the Cooper clan. The only issue i see is that when slytenkama aka Sly died and Sly was born in the future wouldnt that cause a paradox? But if this really were the case then i think Bently and Carmelita should get married. Cmon it makes since they both were Sly's greatest friends. Once they got married they would both become cops and forget about Sly. Also if this theory is true then that means Sly was the end of the Coopers but technically the start as well which technically means that the cooper clan never exsisted in the first place. Time traveling is so confusing!!!!!

I agree with all the Sly is Slytunkhamen theory. Despite all the attempts to bring Sly back to the present, Bentley and Murray weren't able to track him down. Sly, lost, realized he could never return, so the only option was to continue his life in Ancient Egypt. He knew about Slytunkhamen, and what if he never found him? What if he somehow knew he was supposed to start it all? It's a crazy theory and some pieces such as Bob don't fit but I guess it could be supported with a bit more information.

You're right, that's too much, but even if Sanzaru or even Sucker Punch develop such a deep plot, only us, true Sly Cooper fans, would truly understand the meaning of this, and therefore the attraction of a new audience would be compromised. But I would love to see something like this happen in the near future, such as in Sly 5 (IF IT F***ING HAPPENS!!!)

This doesn't seem too far fetched honestly. The paper thing you mentioned helps because they never would of got old notes from past but it falls flat as well because slytunken parents. His parents would of given what they learned onto them. Honestly you don't need paper to pass on teachings as long as the child uses every single move for rest of life they will keep the teachings with them till the day they die.
+VTNVIVI Sly doesnt really have any moves to record in honesty. I think his legacy lies in his story not his talents. He stopped clockwerk for example from killing people (I can imagine tennessee be like "YEEHAW GET THAT FUCKER FOR KILLING ME AND MA WIFE" while the other coopers made up moves and stole riches.
Also you forgot one thing. Back in Sly 2 Bentley modified Sly's cane into two pieces just like Slytunkhamen's canes so Sly could climb on ice walls. So that could explain why Slytunkhamen could have two canes and how Sly could be Slytunkhamen with the two canes since Bentley already modified them so Sly could easily have pulled his cane into two.
If the Egypt episode of Sly 4 would've had a plot twist I doubt that they would have left that episode out. Maybe it was intentional? Maybe there original was no Cooper in ancient Egypt (at least not one that was a thief, but possibly a distant relative to Bob). While there were two Coopers in the ancient Egypt, it is not entirely impossible that Sly become the first one (since the second one was the son of the first one). It's hard to say because we don't know the exact time Sly ended up in. While this possibility would create a paradox, they are not at all uncommon in games that feature time travel, so I don't think that would matter.
you said that sly hasn't 2 canes but just one and yes thats true but in sly cooper 2 if you climb on a ice rock sly has 2 little canes that look exactly the same as slythunkamen's canes so at the end sly is slythunkhamen

About the 2 cane thing.Maybe Sly went back in time to get Thaddeus Winslow Cooper's cane took the Ruby out of it.And cut half of it off of it hand kept the other half.
He drew himself or someone else drew him, just like almost everyone else. Plus sir Glalith's original picture he has way more armor, he's so full of himself or thinks himself of as way more heroic.
I'm just gonna say this now, but if you look at the other pictures of sly's ancesters like Rioichi and Salim they don't look like the pictures from the thievious raccoonus. Which means that Slytunkhamen can look totaly different from what he looks like in the thiveious racoonus. And I know that we meet Salim when he's really old, but still to go from one of the biggest hunks in the cooper vault to the skinny old man he is when we meet him is a pretty long leap.
+Eirik Dølemo Yes, you're right. But why would Sucker Punch make their Slytunkhamen look like Sly? It was probably unintentional, but maybe they were planning on doing something with it in the future. Sucker Punch's ending in Sly 3 hinted time travel; however, Sanzaru came in and put their own twist to it which explains the different art styles. To put things simple, Sly would probably just help his ancestor.

Sanzaru should have released the Egypt level as DLC. I would have had no problem paying $15-$30 for that. Even now if they released it, it would give me a reason to dust off my PS3 :)
Maybe Sly drew Sly Tutankhamen in the Thievius Raccoonus. And Sly really hated Bentley and Murray. And one day he knew that Bentley will make a time machine.So he left Bentley and Murray. Then he got Sly Tutankhamen suit . Went back in time and when ever Bentley and Murray come they can't find Sly anywhere.
I wanted to say that at an interview someone from sakuza games or whatever is the name of the company they said that if the movie goes good they will do the sly cooper 5 if it doesnt go really well then sony might say no

I don't make videos, I might start but if you do a video on this idea then pls give me a mention. Anyway, I think that after thieves in time sly could use broken time travel parts and maybe attach it to his cane. He would have to find the necessary fuel though, so that's why he can't come straight back to modern times. Sly must help his ancestors and jump through time endlessly in an attempt to get home. He can only stay in a time period for a small amount of time as the machine is still broken. Which explains the sly 4 collect able calling cards/masks, because he may be leaving hints for Bentley, and the rest, to find him. Ps- you have some really odd theories btw

If sly is slytunkhamen, it would seem like he would have to live in ancient egypt for the rest of his life (or a long period in time) because he would have to extend the family line. The only way the slytunkhamen theory is plausible is if sly 5 is never made. Why? Because if sly 5 is made, ancient egypt would have to be the first episode, and it might be the ONLY episode. This is why I think that if sly 5 is made, sly will not be slytunkhamen.

Hmm lets see. If Sly is actually Slytunkhamen, then his future will also change. To put it simple, he is actually the Connor Cooper's son, and we all know that. If Sly was Slytunkhamen, that means he didn't only start the legacy, but also created a biologic family line. Being your own ancestor? Could someone even be their OWN father's ancestor? Connor Cooper is the veeeeeeery distant great great great great great great...(this goes forever) child of Slytunkhamen. If Sly went back in time to be as "Slytunkhamen", and returned back in the present, that would just remove the whole Cooper linage. If he was just a character in the past that would be okay; but creating The Thievius Raccoonus also means that Slytunkhamen Cooper was in the family tree, being the greatest father of both Connor and Sly (based on the starting of Thievius Racconus). So, Sly being Slytunkhamen Cooper is actually a crazy idea indeed. But Slytunkhamen was influenced by Sly? Might be, why not? I mean as he said, he could be only Tunkhamen before he met Sly. We have never seen someone with the name "Sly" or a variation of "Sly" in any ancestors. They all had their own individual names. So, Slytunkhamen Cooper might actually been influenced by Sly's name. Or Connor Cooper was just a fan of Slytunkhamen and saw him as an idol, and got influenced by his name, named his son as "Sly". It can be that simple too lol
In sly 2 Bentley modified slys cane in Jean Bisons area so he could climb on ice - maybe sly still has that modification and turned in to slytunkamun or maybe he got amnesia for real this time and thinks that he is actually slytunkamun- Just a theory
you know in sly 3 its revealed that sly takhamem the ll started the cooper vault and we know that bob didn't start the book so I think that sly takhamem the first started the book because maybe he knew he was having a son so he decided to write his ability down to teach to his son a and his son invented his own ability and wrote it down for his kid and rinse and repeat same thing goes for the vault except it starts with slytakhemem the ll and we know sly takhemem gave his cane to sly takhemem the ll because the 2 canes we see in the vault are identical to the ones shown in the book

You are saying that Slytunkhamen was impressed with Sly, so he copied his cane and his name, but what if Slytunkhamen´s canes dont look like Sly´s cane, but Sly´s cane looks like Slytunkhamen´s canes? What if we (basically you) are thinking about this the opposite way? Maybe Slytunkhamen was the best that Cooper family had, like you said, maybe they weren´t good "people". Maybe he was the best Cooper in the family and, to be the best, he had to do something greater in his time, so Sly´s parents or just the father named his son after the best one´s name. Maybe whatever Slytunkhamen did in the past had something to do with Clockwerk. When Sly met Clockwerk, he was already built metal, so maybe Clockwerk lived as an organic/normal owl back in Slytunkhamen´s time, maybe that´s the time Clockwerk did something bad to Slytunkhamen and got defeated by this Cooper, then that´s the time Clockwerk´s rage for Cooper family began to grow. Or maybe Slytunkhamen was not good at all and he was the one who began all this war between the Cooper family and Clockwerk, maybe Slytunkhamen DID something greater, or wanted to do and tried to, and for some reason Clockwerk was on his way. Yes! Sly's name was perhaps inspired by Slytunkhamen. About Clockwerk getting his metal body, I actually made a few Clockwerk theories if you're not aware (3 parts so far, 4th one coming soon!) :P. When I started to play Sly Cooper, I just belived that the thievius raccoonus had been rewrittien once or twice. Paper from ancient egypt woun't be still intact in the present time, if the paper had keep being used and read. Slytunkamen maybe also wrote walls, and later an another Cooper wrote that down on papper, and when the paper started to crumble the cooper of the time that probably spoke english, translated the parts that wasnt in english and wrote everyting down in one book and thats why the thievius raccoonus has the same handwriting. I dont really like timetravel stuff, to complicated, so sly 4 isnt really me favorite of the games...

I see... It can work. But, Slytunkhamen and Sly are two different people. Sly was originally supposed to meet him in Sly 4, Sanzaru had mentioned. Theoretically, yeah one can say that Carmelita gave birth to Slytunkhamen 2 and then let nature take its course. If Carmelita married Sly (Slytunkhamen), they would have no choice but to have a son. If not, it would create an alternate timeline.
Another, possibly unrelated thought just came to mind. What if Clockwerk was the 'brains' of the Cooper gang in Ancient Egypt or earlier? Something akin to Dr. M? Maybe, maybe not....

I have a theory. It goes along with yours, and also Kevin Miller's. On Kevin Miller's UA-cam channel, he answered some questions. ua-cam.com/video/VReeP48dE3E/v-deo.html He said that Slytankhamen is "the most un-Cooper of all the Coopers" because all of the other ancestors have the advantage of the Thievius Raccoonus. (and Bob doesn't count because he's just sorta winging it getting food for the tribe) So he has to make due with his guts. And his experiences trying to become a theif is what created the Thievius Raccoonus. (you can watch the video with more info) (My theory picks up here) So what Sly does is teach him a few moves and tips to become a thief. As for how Sly gets back to the present? I believe he writes in the Theivius Racconus, which affects the present day Thievius Raccoonus. Bentley notices this blahblahblah, picks him up etc. Thats my theory anyway. I don't just wanna completely shoot down your theory tho. As for Sly BEING Slytankhalmen? I don't personally believe it, but you know it could be real. Remember how Slytankalmen has 2 cans yes? Plus, Sly 4 was originally supposed to have Slytunkhamen. The blimp was destroyed, so Le Paradox, even if he would escape from prison, wouldn't be able to time travel that easily anymore (Penelope's out of the equation). Who knows, maybe Sanzaru had some crazy story in store for us I'm sure. Sly would simply help Slytunkhamen, maybe his ancestor could be in trouble. What if there TWO books of the Cooper Legacy? One of them being Sly's and the other one is Conner's? Maybe that's why Bob is part of this, could it be possible that Conner is hiding another book from Sly and showing the rest of the Cooper Legacy? Maybe Conner was hiding it from Sly this whole time and maybe he gave Sly a copy of the book while he has the real one. What if each Cooper has two books with them, one showing the whole legacy and the other that's a copy of the original book? Maybe there some Coopers that failed and some Coopers succeed though out history, could some Coopers appeared in the Copy of the book be the most successful and the Coopers that failed not. Perhaps Bob Cooper failed at some point making him not part of Sly's book and Slytunkhamen did. It's pretty unknown if all Coopers are successful or not, but it could be possible

I know it sounds very weird but here is how I came up with it when I was playing thieves in time one of the treasures in clan of the cave raccoon there is a slytunkummun vase! As one of the treasures so basically bob learned about making vases ,learned how to make better canes ,learned how to write ,learned how to cut his fur and moved into Egyptian civilisation! Sly's prehistoric ancestor "Bob Cooper" is most certainly his oldest ancestor but since he couldn't write down his thieving techniques it was likely passed down through the generations by word of mouth. Then once it came to Sly's Egyptian ancestor he chose to write down these techniques thus creating the thieveius racoonus. Over the numerous generations, someone decided to put it together in a book but most likely was gradually updated over time. The book sly owns isn't the original but perhaps a new version of the very first one since it would be a stretch if that book could survive from ancient Egypt.
I too believe the book got updated as time went on.
The gang finds sly who is now slytunkhamen (slys new name) and time travel to him. Sly has been busy stealing and is the best of the Egyptian age, which sparks a certain insane owls rage since he is the second best. Sly and Carmelita live in ancient Egypt where they can start new lives away from the future, thinking that since sly is Slytunkhamen they must start the line of slys ancestors. Turns out that Penelope has been there all along and captured slys first known ancestor without counting bob cause that would mess with earlier evens important to Penelope by messing with the time line of sly 4. Sly and the gang save him but before they get to Penelope she tells the owl character that the only way to get revenge at cooper is to become immortal, making him into clockwork. Penelope is defeated, maybe even by the insane clockwork who kills anyone whom is a threat to him. Sly and gang know they can't mess with clockwork cause that would mess up the time line. Sly teaches the new slytunkhamen, slys ancestor, invisibility and Bentley writes it all down in a book, the thievius raccoonus, and slytunkhamen writes his name. They decide that they must leave this time period, slys ancestor takes his place as slytunkhamen. Clockwork finds slytunkhamen but sees that this is not the sly he is looking for, not the one he hates. He knows of the time travel and knows this is why Penelope said he must become immortal to defeat sly. So he waits and always hunts for the real sly in time. As the gang travels in time, they find that the immortal clockwork is all throughout it. Sly and the gang + carmelita, now seeing that they are the writers of the thievius raccoonus, travel though time to write it with the ancestors while always on the run from Clockwork. This is why clockwork never kills any of the ancestors, he only wants to kill sly, hating him more and more as time goes on. These would be the levels in the game, they would spend time a little time with the ancestors we already saw and with more ancestors we have not, defeating mini bosses with them while running away from clockwork and sly could maybe teach them some moves. They run out of places to go and travel to the time of slys parents. When they get their they only find a very old tennessee, whos son Conner was killed by a "new york 1920s like" mob boss. Sly takes on the identity of Conner to take out this evil guy. After that tennessee makes his part in the thievius raccoonus and sly take the identity of Conner, makes the Cooper vault etc... all the stuff slys "dad" did and Carmelita has their son, who is also sly. They have a few good years to spend raising sly. The whole gang prepares for the night they know will come, that is when clockwork catches up and kills slys parents (who are actually sly and Carmelita). Don't know how they do it, but maybe they replace the young panda king with the old one or maybe the old panda king convinces the young panda king to keep them alive for his own future, but they make clockwork think sly (Conner) and Carmelita are dead even though they aren't. Clockwork keeps young sly alive because he recognizes him as sly, the one from Egypt who he hates so much. This makes sense because clockwork wants to prove himself better than sly in all ways, so he wants him to grow up so that he can defeat him then. The timeline goes on with young sly as it did in sly one and the cycle is complete. Sly (Conner) and Carmelita, who are both still alive travel with the whole gang back to the future clear of the timeline. Sly and Carmelita now with the timeline fixed, clockwork out of the picture and safe in their proper time line live happily ever after...returning to crime and police work of course ;) and secretly working together to bring down other bad guys and raising another child. This does not mean that Carmelita might not try to arrest sly while she is on the job of course :)

They would need to time travel before Ancient Egypt. If Sly was truly his own ancestor Slytunkhamen, then that would mean his ancestor would be his great great grand-father who technically lives in the future... this is getting confusing XD. Penelope being involved with Clockwerk's transformation does not sound crazy at all, seeing as to how she easily betrayed the gang in Sly 4. Tenesse kid Cooper lived around the 1850s, we assume. There's a huge time gap between Tenesse's time and Sly parents time. Tenesse's son would probably be way to old to be Connor. We don't know their exact ages, so we can't really tell who's who after all. Your theory about Clockwerk spying on Sly is interesting; remember those easter eggs in Sly 4, where we would see Clockwerk through time ;)? About Carmelita's son, it's like saying she dated her son in the future, now that would be one awkward mess XD; however, her simply raising young Sly could be possible; maybe his biological parents weren't around.

Haha yeah I would say that it would all be pretty weird and they probably won't go that crazy with it and all with carmelita technically being slys mom. That kinda just be odd. Well the thing is with what I was saying about slytunkhamen, while sly WAS slytunkhamen, the actual cooper ancestor living in the time period did eventually become slytunkhamen. Sly was just the first to use the name. Like just to fit in with his surroundings in Egypt sly starts using by the name of his "ancestor" slytunkhamen because he knows it is an Egyptian name. After the gang leaves the Egypt to escape clockwork, slys Egyptian ancestor that they met, whatever his actual name really is, takes on the name of slytunkhamen because of its reputation that sly built (plus since they look alike everyone thinks he is slytunkhamen, accept for clockwork who sees through it) As far as Tennessee and Conner though, I think Tennesse was born around 1860, think we see him in around 1885ish during the games... so in the 1920s 1930's he'd be around 60 or 70 which could work. His son if born around lets say 1900 would be in his 20's or 30's it would all work out. Maybe to get around the whole carmelita being slys parents thing conner could be the son of the cooper who dies in the 1920s and 1930s and sly gets to see his dad as a kid being raised by his grandpa Tennessee. That could be kind of cool, sly would have to comfort his dad about the death of HIS dad. Kinda crazy and meta since sly went through the same sort of thing. Just think a level in that time period would be really killer. Bad guy could be like the "Dogfather" to make a reference back to sly one lol. Then maybe the sly and carmelita switche out with conner and his wife as slys parents to protect them from clockwork, since sly is who clockwork is really looking for, and then do the thing were they trick him into thinking they are dead and slys parents idk That would be less weird but hey thats just a theory.. My mind was blown when you were explaining the last theory. It does kinda make sense though since in Sly 2 during the winter events in the Jean Bison level Bentley did make it so Sly's canes cane split into two so he can climb better on the ice walls. So you might have just explained the last events of the franchise. I think Sanzaru and Sucker Punch should both work together for Sly 5. But the Sly fans needs to keep tweeting, messaging, emailing, writing letters to Sony asking them to let Sly 5 be developed. Look at the Crash Bandicoot franchise, they've bugged Sony for years and hopefully this E3 will finally be the announcement for Crash. And I assumed most Crash fans are fans if Sly Cooper too (like me). We just need to keep Sly Cooper talked about and never start to think negatively like saying R.I.P Sly Cooper, because that's just stupid, Sony might see that and think we don't care anymore. But Sony do need to market the franchise more, I have never seen an advert on TV or anything for Sly. An animated series would help introduce younger kids to the franchise, maybe it could just be based on the stories of the Sly games and maybe a few new stories and characters.

I asked myself that at one point, why not have both developers work on it? Some loved Sucker Punch's work, other preferred Sanzaru's, it would be one awesome collab! I hope the movie gains enough exposure (better advertisement), that way Sony might realize that there's still fans out there.

I only except that Sly will meet Slytuntkhamen in Sly Cooper 5, and then Slytuntkhamen will be a brand new side playable character along with Sly, Bentley, Murray and Carmelita in Sly Cooper 5 that works in development for exclusively on PlayStation 5.

Woooow I just remembered the dream I had about the Thievius Ratcoonus. Somebody wanted it, and it was being made into the book with white paper, and the daughter wouldn't let nobody take her father's work. It was awesome.
I don’t believe Slytunkhamen made his cane based off of sly and here’s why. My theory is the canes he is shown with were ones that belonged to a pharaoh or someone of importance that he stole them from and after some use he adopted it as his cane thus continuing the possible cane legacy and starting the legacy of that design. Looking at Egyptian history, you can see sarcophagi and statues of an individual holding something cane shaped, or hook shaped depending how you see it. But it’s pretty similar to how the cooper cane looks. So historically it would make sense for those to be around just “cooper shaped” if you will. And explains the possible gold design as well because Egyptians loved using gold for designs.
So as likely as it is the two will meet, I firmly believe that Slytunkhamen started the lineage of the design.
Actually in Sly 2: Band of Thieves in the 2nd Episode "Menace From the North, Eh?" which has Jean Bison in it you can climb walls of ice by SPLITTING HIS CANES IN TWO?! I never truly got how that was possible but its a game were talking about anyways maybe he got it from sly to have canes like that if they were climbing a sandstone wall possibly I personally think that it is likely possible how Slytukhamen's canes were inspired c:

Slytunkhamen was the creator of the Thievius Raccoonus, and the one who started the Cooper thief legacy, as apparently none of his own ancestors before him had written down any of their exploits. Sometime during his life, he had a child, Slytunkhamen II, who went on to build the Cooper Vault.
Let me get this right? Slytunkhamen I was the first Cooper of all time? Someone says Bob Cooper, it`s kind of weird, but its also understandable since Sanzaru Games INC bought Sucker Punch Porductions, its kind of messed up
Slytunkhamen was considered the first until Sly 4 happened. Slytunkhamen is the creator of the book yes, I always think he started off by writing on scrolls. As years went by, these scrolls got converted into a book. If not, how did the pages hold still after all these years?

in sly 3 in the cooper vault we see most of Sly's ansessrters.then in sly 4 we see some of the anssesters mentioned but what about the others like hnretta one eyed cooper we never met so if Sony agree to sly five maybe they will call it sly cooper back to the future or something and Carmelita is on a mission in a museum because something was stolen. when she goes in the Egypt exsibit she sees on one of the at a facts Sly's symbol ingraved into it she calls bently and when he is sure he is in Egypt bently with his new time machine go back in time to go rescue him.once they get there the machine breaks and Bentley is fixing it with parts of the recage from the blimp and spare parts while carmalita finds sly .once she finds him they stop the bad guy then have to travel through time taking small stops because of the damage like to Henrietta's,otto van cooper,Thaddius Winslow cooper,slaigh mucooper and hopefully conner cooper eras so that then they can get back to there time.

Sly Cooper is Slytunkhamen from the future back into the past who usurps the power from the Pharoahs. This is the greatest heist in Cooper history because not only does he take the throne from Pharoahs establishes the Cooper legacy, making them legit. Thats what the next game is going to be about. Hopefully developers at Sanzaru work together with Sucker Punch to bring this to life. That would be great.
But also with sly being slythunkamen theory, why would they make throughout the games this relationship between sly and carmelita just to end like thst and thst also means that sly fell in love with someone else because slythunkamen had a chikd

In Episode 7 of Sly 2, there are ice covered walls that Sly climbs across. When he does this, his cane splits into two separate canes.

I think I can mend the sly is tukhanmon theory, sly's father made his cane in inspiration of tuk's. So because sly's cane is his father's, it would make sense of the two canes tuk has two canes. Also tuk could also exist in this theory, but tuk dies. So after tuk's death, sly finds out that the book hasn't been written yet, so he takes up his name and writes the book. Thus sly cooper is sly tukhanmon.

I realize time travel has timey whimey bs (and frankly is probably the worst plot point ever invented) but Sly couldn't be Slytunkhamen because of lineages. Theoretically the bloodline goes from Bob, down through time to Sly. For this plot point to work, Sly would have to be the first cooper to create an appropriate time loop. If he traveled back to somewhere in the middle, that would automatically mean that Bob-whomever was before Slytunkahmen would actually not be related to them. More likely, Sly is a family name-- even more likely is that Sucker Punch put Slytunkhamen as the first originally with a similar name to Sly to do like a first and last trope.
Dude i love it, Sly is Slytunkamen (there is no way i spelled that right but who cares). Also Penelope is Clockwerk as u said in another video. To be honest I hope they make a Sly Cooper film series and Sly 4 is the last movie. Sly falls from the blimp and lands in ancient egypt and he realizes hes got to start the Cooper legacy. Then Penelope escapes from jail travels back in time to stop Sly. Meanwhile Bently and Murray cant find Sly and they come to realize that the time travel machine is dangerous and then they destroy it. Well now Penelope is stuck in the past and realizes she must become clockwerk and haunt the Cooper clan. The only issue i see is that when slytenkama aka Sly died and Sly was born in the future wouldnt that cause a paradox? But if this really were the case then i think Bently and Carmelita should get married. Cmon it makes since they both were Sly's greatest friends. Once they got married they would both become cops and forget about Sly. Also if this theory is true then that means Sly was the end of the Coopers but technically the start as well which technically means that the cooper clan never exsisted in the first place. Time traveling is so confusing!!!!!
Time travel is confusing XD. I didn't say Penelope is Clockwerk, I said what if :P; in the end, Penelope simply helping Clockwerk is possible. Sly being Slytunkhamen sounds way too complicated. It's like saying his mom gave birth to the start of the Cooper legacy. If it were Sly's destiny to become Slytunkhamen, then him not pursuing it would alter the timeline and erase all Coopers.
I agree with all the Sly is Slytunkhamen theory. Despite all the attempts to bring Sly back to the present, Bentley and Murray weren't able to track him down. Sly, lost, realized he could never return, so the only option was to continue his life in Ancient Egypt. He knew about Slytunkhamen, and what if he never found him? What if he somehow knew he was supposed to start it all? It's a crazy theory and some pieces such as Bob don't fit but I guess it could be supported with a bit more information.

Of course, Sly would probably have to use Slytunkhamen's papyrus sheet, that's how the book began in the first place.
You're right, that's too much, but even if Sanzaru or even Sucker Punch develop such a deep plot, only us, true Sly Cooper fans, would truly understand the meaning of this, and therefore the attraction of a new audience would be compromised. But I would love to see something like this happen in the near future, such as in Sly 5 (IF IT F***ING HAPPENS!!!)
But wait. Sly is related to "Bob" Cooper, the oldest known Cooper. That would mean that there would have to have been a Slytunkhaman at the time for Sly to even exist. It just doesn't add up that Sly could be Slytunkhaman.

This doesn't seem too far fetched honestly. The paper thing you mentioned helps because they never would of got old notes from past but it falls flat as well because slytunken parents. His parents would of given what they learned onto them. Honestly you don't need paper to pass on teachings as long as the child uses every single move for rest of life they will keep the teachings with them till the day they die.
If Sly builds a family of his own one day, maybe he might teach his kid moves without the book. Plus, what kind of move will Sly record in the book?

Also you forgot one thing. Back in Sly 2 Bentley modified Sly's cane into two pieces just like Slytunkhamen's canes so Sly could climb on ice walls. So that could explain why Slytunkhamen could have two canes and how Sly could be Slytunkhamen with the two canes since Bentley already modified them so Sly could easily have pulled his cane into two.

If the Egypt episode of Sly 4 would've had a plot twist I doubt that they would have left that episode out. Maybe it was intentional? Maybe there original was no Cooper in ancient Egypt (at least not one that was a thief, but possibly a distant relative to Bob). While there were two Coopers in the ancient Egypt, it is not entirely impossible that Sly become the first one (since the second one was the son of the first one). It's hard to say because we don't know the exact time Sly ended up in. While this possibility would create a paradox, they are not at all uncommon in games that feature time travel, so I don't think that would matter.

About the 2 cane thing.Maybe Sly went back in time to get Thaddeus Winslow Cooper's cane took the Ruby out of it.And cut half of it off of it hand kept the other half.
He drew himself or someone else drew him, just like almost everyone else. Plus sir Glalith's original picture he has way more armor, he's so full of himself or thinks himself of as way more heroic.
I'm just gonna say this now, but if you look at the other pictures of sly's ancesters like Rioichi and Salim they don't look like the pictures from the thievious raccoonus. Which means that Slytunkhamen can look totaly different from what he looks like in the thiveious racoonus. And I know that we meet Salim when he's really old, but still to go from one of the biggest hunks in the cooper vault to the skinny old man he is when we meet him is a pretty long leap.
+Eirik Dølemo Yes, you're right. But why would Sucker Punch make their Slytunkhamen look like Sly? It was probably unintentional, but maybe they were planning on doing something with it in the future. Sucker Punch's ending in Sly 3 hinted time travel; however, Sanzaru came in and put their own twist to it which explains the different art styles. To put things simple, Sly would probably just help his ancestor.

Then he got Sly Tutankhamen suit . Went back in time and when ever Bentley and Murray come they can't find Sly anywhere.

Anyway, I think that after thieves in time sly could use broken time travel parts and maybe attach it to his cane. He would have to find the necessary fuel though, so that's why he can't come straight back to modern times. Sly must help his ancestors and jump through time endlessly in an attempt to get home. He can only stay in a time period for a small amount of time as the machine is still broken. Which explains the sly 4 collect able calling cards/masks, because he may be leaving hints for Bentley, and the rest, to find him.

If sly is slytunkhamen, it would seem like he would have to live in ancient egypt for the rest of his life (or a long period in time) because he would have to extend the family line. The only way the slytunkhamen theory is plausible is if sly 5 is never made. Why? Because if sly 5 is made, ancient egypt would have to be the first episode, and it might be the ONLY episode. This is why I think that if sly 5 is made, sly will not be slytunkhamen.

Hmm lets see. If Sly is actually Slytunkhamen, then his future will also change. To put it simple, he is actually the Connor Cooper's son, and we all know that. If Sly was Slytunkhamen, that means he didn't only start the legacy, but also created a biologic family line. Being your own ancestor? Could someone even be their OWN father's ancestor? Connor Cooper is the veeeeeeery distant great great great great great great...(this goes forever) child of Slytunkhamen. If Sly went back in time to be as "Slytunkhamen", and returned back in the present, that would just remove the whole Cooper linage. If he was just a character in the past that would be okay; but creating The Thievius Raccoonus also means that Slytunkhamen Cooper was in the family tree, being the greatest father of both Connor and Sly (based on the starting of Thievius Racconus). So, Sly being Slytunkhamen Cooper is actually a crazy idea indeed. But Slytunkhamen was influenced by Sly? Might be, why not? I mean as he said, he could be only Tunkhamen before he met Sly. We have never seen someone with the name "Sly" or a variation of "Sly" in any ancestors. They all had their own individual names. So, Slytunkhamen Cooper might actually been influenced by Sly's name. Or Connor Cooper was just a fan of Slytunkhamen and saw him as an idol, and got influenced by his name, named his son as "Sly". It can be that simple too lol

You are saying that Slytunkhamen was impressed with Sly, so he copied his cane and his name, but what if Slytunkhamen´s canes dont look like Sly´s cane, but Sly´s cane looks like Slytunkhamen´s canes? What if we (basically you) are thinking about this the opposite way? Maybe Slytunkhamen was the best that Cooper family had, like you said, maybe they weren´t good "people". Maybe he was the best Cooper in the family and, to be the best, he had to do something greater in his time, so Sly´s parents or just the father named his son after the best one´s name. Maybe whatever Slytunkhamen did in the past had something to do with Clockwerk. When Sly met Clockwerk, he was already built metal, so maybe Clockwerk lived as an organic/normal owl back in Slytunkhamen´s time, maybe that´s the time Clockwerk did something bad to Slytunkhamen and got defeated by this Cooper, then that´s the time Clockwerk´s rage for Cooper family began to grow. Or maybe Slytunkhamen was not good at all and he was the one who began all this war between the Cooper family and Clockwerk, maybe Slytunkhamen DID something greater, or wanted to do and tried to, and for some reason Clockwerk was on his way. Yes! Sly's name was perhaps inspired by Slytunkhamen. About Clockwerk getting his metal body, I actually made a few Clockwerk theories if you're not aware (3 parts so far, 4th one coming soon!) :P. A lot of us assume Clockwerk is from Ancient Egypt, maybe someone time travelled and turned him robotic. Nice of you to share :p

When I started to play Sly Cooper, I just belived that the thievius raccoonus had been rewrittien once or twice.
Paper from ancient egypt woun't be still intact in the present time, if the paper had keep being used and read.
Slytunkamen maybe also wrote walls, and later an another Cooper wrote that down on papper, and when the paper started to crumble the cooper of the time that probably spoke english, translated the parts that wasnt in english and wrote everyting down in one book and thats why the thievius raccoonus has the same handwriting.
I dont really like timetravel stuff, to complicated, so sly 4 isnt really me favorite of the games...

I see... It can work. But, Slytunkhamen and Sly are two different people. Sly was originally supposed to meet him in Sly 4, Sanzaru had mentioned. Theoretically, yeah one can say that Carmelita gave birth to Slytunkhamen 2 and then let nature take its course. If Carmelita married Sly (Slytunkhamen), they would have no choice but to have a son. If not, it would create an alternate timeline.
Another, possibly unrelated thought just came to mind. What if Clockwerk was the 'brains' of the Cooper gang in Ancient Egypt or earlier? Something akin to Dr. M? Maybe, maybe not....

I have a theory.
It goes along with yours, and also Kevin Miller's.

He said that Slytankhamen is "the most un-Cooper of all the Coopers" because all of the other ancestors have the advantage of the Thievius Raccoonus. (and Bob doesn't count because he's just sorta winging it getting food for the tribe) So he has to make due with his guts. And his experiences trying to become a theif is what created the Thievius Raccoonus. (you can watch the video with more info) (My theory picks up here) So what Sly does is teach him a few moves and tips to become a thief. As for how Sly gets back to the present? I believe he writes in the Theivius Racconus, which affects the present day Thievius Raccoonus. Bentley notices this blahblahblah, picks him up etc. Thats my theory anyway.

As for Sly BEING Slytankhalmen? I don't personally believe it, but you know it could be real. Remember how Slytankalmen has 2 cans yes? So does Sly. In Canada in Sly 2 when Sly climbs ice, his canes split into 2. Rioichi also had duel wielding canes. (Remember when he first picked them up in the restaurant)

Who knows, maybe Sanzaru had some crazy story in store for us I'm sure. Sly would simply help Slytunkhamen, maybe his ancestor could be in trouble. Saving his ancestor could maybe cause Slytunkhamen to become who he is, he probably learned a trick or two from Sly.

What if there TWO books of the Cooper Legacy? One of them being Sly's and the other one is Conner's? Maybe that's why Bob is part of this, could it be possible that Conner is hiding another book from Sly and showing the rest of the Cooper Legacy? Maybe Conner was hiding it from Sly this whole time and maybe he gave Sly a copy of the book while he has the real one. What if each Cooper has two books with them, one showing the whole legacy and the other that's a copy of the original book? Maybe there some Coopers that failed and some Coopers succeed though out history, could some Coopers appeared in the Copy of the book be the most successful and the Coopers that failed not. Perhaps Bob Cooper failed at some point making him not part of Sly's book and Slytunkhamen did. It's pretty unknown if all Coopers are successful or not, but it could be possible

I always believed that the Coopers who failed (bad guys) were not in the book, simply to give the legacy a good image and name. Plus, don't the writings all look the same? Maybe someone copied the good parts inside the book we saw throughout the series.

Interesting theory. Here's my questiond vivi. How will he manage to live when he's in the past? Would he be cursed to be immortal? Him teaching his ancestor or him becoming his ancestor?
+Michael Noble I think him teaching his ancestor is easier to wrap your head around. Sly being Slytunkhamen means his parents gave birth to THE Slytunkhamen. Plus, if it were his destiny to become Slytunkhamen, then going back to the future would probably cause all Coopers to get erased. Sly would basically be the one who created Slytunkhamen II and so on.
