Awesome! The Oktober Guard has always been a fave of mine, and Michael Golden's Yearbook 2 illustrations are next level. This fits so well into that aesthetic, and really compliments these figures. Stellar work, as usual!
Something interesting that you might like to know about, and potentially use the name for your vehicle... But back around 2007 Hasbro/Wizards of the Coast did their short lived GIJoe TCG, however, they didn't produce but 2 sets, which wasn't that many cards... so some friends and I created nearly 165 original cards to expand the game. The cards were free to download and use as desired, but so many people kept complaining about the cards, which were FREE, even though we thoroughly tested them, we just got tired of the whining and stopped working on them... Well, my buddy Karsten and I decided to design our own version of a GI Joe TCG, and we were including the Oktober Guard as one of the main playable factions, and I had already drawn most of the team by then, including the little 6-wheeled vehicle and that large 8 wheeled tank vehicle, which we named The Dynamo and The Vanguard, respectively... Fast forward later that year, when I was a guest artist at the Heroes Convention in Charlotte, NC, as was Michael Golden! I had previously met and spoken with him at previous shows, talking shop with him and hanging out after the shows on occasion... turns out he was supposed to be working with Larry Hama on an extended version of the Yearbook 2 story featuring the OG, so I asked if he'd like to see the OG artwork and sample cards my buddy and I were working on... When he saw the cards, he immediately recognized the characters and vehicles, which he'd previously established in his storyline, and when he saw the names of those vehicles we'd given them, he said he loved them and asked if he could use them as suggestions to Hama as codenames for the OG vehicles in the updated story... I obviously agreed, and told him I'd be looking forward to seeing his extended story... Well, DDP apparently didn't follow through with the book and ended up eventually even losing the Joe license, so unfortunately, we never got to see them officially named in canon, but just knowing that Michael Golden liked them enough that he wanted to use the names in his story with Hama was pretty cool to me...!!! So, if you also like the name Dynamo, for this little vehicle, and Vanguard for the other vehicle you've already done, please, feel free to use them, if you want. I definitely enjoyed your video and I like what you have done with your version... I have a stand-in version of it myself, while I'm trying to put together a slightly better version like what you've done here... I even painted up one of those huge cargo planes as an OG transport plane for my OG team to fly around in... among other things, including some old Captain America vehicles and Jurassic Park, that kind of have that Russian OG feel to them... even painted up a Snarler motorcycle to duplicate the Convention exclusive bike from several years ago...
I recently got the comic anthology of issues 1 -50. I just read the October Guard story with that vehicle. Looks amazing. Great work. I also now want all of the October Guard in the Classified line.
Awesome video. I don’t do 1/18, but watching this gives me a lot of ideas for 1/12 GI Joe Classified. That base vehicle you are using looks like it would easily convert to a 1/12 Classified scale version of the Argo Adventure Team Vehicle that was originally for the 12” GI Joe. Similarly you could take an old Argo ATV from the 70’s and convert it to something similar to what you did here, for the 6” Classified figures. Heck, the GI Joe Jeep from back in the day came with a recoilless rifle that fired plastic shells.
Great job! It looks really cool, but I feel like it would have had a lot more 80s toy feel if you’d painted the roll bars and the hubs red. Still a great job, man!
I hadn’t even thought of that. Getting some red into the color scheme would be fun. All the green is a bit realistic for a Joe toy. Thanks for the comment.
Love your videos. I have made some customs but I don't have a 3D printer. But it's fun. I'm so glad you kept the rim color. I would've myself. So 80s Soviet Union color on vehicle rims and such.
Thanks and yes that color! It reminds me of the paint they'd use on the interiors or the vehicles. They must have made millions of gallons of that stuff. Thanks for watching!
Wow! I wasn't expecting you to turn out this video so quickly! Thanks for putting it together! Job well done as it really does look like a production vehicle from Hasbro! I don't suppose you might be interested in producing another one for me for a price? ;-)
Awesome work - I am a big fan! I missed out on the Soviet BTR as I can't seem to find them around anymore. I do have the 6x6 and would like to make my own. Do you plan to sell the 3d files on your Etsy page? Forgive me if you said it and I missed it. Thanks and keep up the great work!
@@ActionRobotPunch Now, the kilt was only for day-to-day wear. In battle, we donned a full-length ballgown covered in sequins. The idea was to blind your opponent with luxury.

@@shanehai2699 Wow, that's a great story. And cool that you got to make some cards for Gi Joe!
Awesome video. I’m a huge Oktober guard fan and I’ve always wanted to custom a vehicle for them. I gladly pay for one. Love it! Cheers!
Thanks so much. Maybe someday I’ll make a vehicle from the ground up 👍

Thanks. I saw that book in B & N and am tempted to get it.
That green color is awesome.
Thank you 👍
I always love your customs.
Thank you very much! And thanks for watching.
Solid work!
1st look I thought Space 1999 moon buggy or AT Joe explorer. But yours came out perfect.
I wish I had my space 1999 eagle from when I was a kid. That’d be fun to fix up or mod. I just remember it being huge!

Ha! Thanks for the kind words. And thanks for watching the video.
That machine gun is a DShK (Dishka). You get hit by one of those, you got hit real good.

Did Hasbro ever come out with an Oktober Guard Horror Show action figure?
Yes, and it's a pretty nice figure. I should have gotten some shots of him in the buggy.

Glad you like them! I don’t like selling STLs because I’ve had bad experiences but maybe I’ll post this one.
@@ActionRobotPunch Thanks for considering - I would definitely buy this one. I 3d print but am horrible on CAD so far. Very awesome work again!
