you are one of the few people on UA-cam showing the toy being played with and mounting it up with figures. BRAVO! Why aren't other people doing this? the whole point of getting gijoe vehicles whet I was s kid was to load them up with figures and toss them around. now as an adult I'm not going yo toss it around too much but you can be damned sure I'm going to do a diorama with it loaded with figures and flexing that suspension using some rocks.
Thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed that. Yeah, my first instinct was that this thing wants to roll around! It wants to move. Like you mention, as kids we'd race these around all over the place. Maybe I just never lost that part of me? I do love playing with my kids on the floor. Soon enough my knees will be too old to allow for that LOL Thanks for the comment and watching the video!
I think because the original Vamp was only $9 (or free if our parents bought it for us) compared to $100-120 for this modern version. I'm definitely more careful with expensive items like that even if they are toys. Lots of people don't even ever take it out of the package, but whatever works for you.
I wish the cannons were like the OG ones with recoil action. The .50 cal brownings like Roadblock’s just seem kind of lazy. There’s no place to stand a figure on the back to mount the guns. They would have to be controlled robotically. I’m hoping Gridiron will offer an alternative.
Sorry to hear that. There have been rumors of another release and they’ll surely make more in some variant form like a mark II. Keep your eyes peeled and I’m sure you’ll get one. 👍
Jumping the VAMP was slightly horrifying to watch because I baby all of my toys, but it was HILARIOUS to watch after you loaded it with figures lol. Great and pleasant review sir.
Looks good! Looks worth the price. But still, around $100 bucks is still a lot of cash for some people. That spare helmet is based on the Steel Brigade/Corps helmets. Classified Grunt also comes with one. I guess the designers are kinda planning to give most of the 82-83 Joes that helmet.
The original Vamp was one of my most sought after vehicles. Unfortunately I never found one and hoped Hasbro was going to rerelease it at some point. This looks good, even though I don't collect 6" stuff, it looks like a fun toy.
Why are they doing the GI Joes so big? Will they ever return to the smaller figures like the 80s? I get depressed every time I go to Target or Walmart that there is no whole aisle of GI Joes.
I think because they can charge more for a larger figure and vehicles while Hasbro cost is about the same. Engineering and designing a 4” figure is the same work as a 6” figure. But Hasbro charges $25, $32 and more for classified. People perceive more value in a larger toy. It’s like food portions. Quantity over quality.
@@ActionRobotPunch But that's the problem! How are you supposed to get toys to play with if they're so expensive! ...I need a DeLorean.☹️. (I enjoy the channel by the way. I loved the jump test.)
@@joest.eggbenedictus1896 Hasbro did try making 3 3/4 inch inch Joe reissues a bit ago, but they struggled to sell. Probably due to them being sold exclusively as 2 packs costing $40, basically $20 per figure, which is a bit much for figures of that scale for most collectors. It looks like they’ll only do 3 3/4 figures exclusive to the Transformers crossover line because of it.
@@joest.eggbenedictus1896 And 6 inch figures are the big thing at the moment. Back then it was 12 inches, then it was 3 3/4 inches and now it’s 6 inches.
@@ActionRobotPunch I’m sorry the tires 🛞 they look to be directional if you look at the treads and they look like at a point going one way that’s telling you it’s directional

My VAMP is loaded with blast effects added but the hundred dollar toy ain't touching dirt.
Most adult collectors just like placing their stuff on a shelf. Some just do different things with their toys to enjoy them. To each their own.
Man times have changed, I remember getting the Halo Warthog a bit bigger than this for I think 49.99 in 2011 or so.
Yeah, prices have gone up for sure. Thanks for watching.
I always enjoy your videos. You have such a relaxed way of doing them. This VAMP is really beautiful, mine is still underway, can’t wait! 😎
Thank you very much! I’m sure you’ll enjoy it 👍
Love the helmets , the tiger one coming up looks even better
Thanks for watching!
would have been cool if this thing came with some kind of tripod thing to place the double 50 on and make it a stationary thing away from the vamp
That's a really good idea. And it wouldn't have taken much.

Yeah some kind of recoil action would have been nice. I might just model some kind of optics and controls for the mounted cannon. Thanks for watching.
Got mine on Sunday, love the color, suspension, and ease of fitting in figures. Hasbro did the fans good, as far as I am concerned.
Yeah totally agree. It was worth the wait 👍
Awesome review
Thank you! Cheers!
Damnit!!! The one Classified vehicle a really wanted and I didnt even know it was for sale.

Yeah I thought they’d reissue the original or 25th but instead gave us the awestriker.
Nice review! so beautiful vehicle!
By the way, where did you get the green rug?
It is so realistic and looks great!
Thanks!
I bought it years ago. Looks like they still make them. warsigil.com/product/warsigil-turf-mat/
@@ActionRobotPunch Thanks!!
I wonder what repaint & retool they’ll do for the VAMP first? The Mark 2? The Stinger? The Tiger Sting?
I would think the stinger but you never know. I’m usually wrong with predicting 😁
I wonder if the guns are interchangeable with other weapons?
I think they must be? Otherwise they'd make a custom one for the Vamp don't you think. Maybe it's the same one that comes with the new roadblock?
Any plans to modify the VAMP or the HISS to be RC controlled?
Probably not the vamp. It’s too nice to mess with, but I’m still planning a HISS. I have a donor tank ready to go.
good test... Hi from France. Yo Joe
Hey, thanks! Where in France? 🇫🇷
between Bordeaux and Nantes (west coast)
Reminds me of the steel brigade
The helmet? I think maybe it is a modified steel brigade helmet. It looked really big and round to me. "Interesting" design. Thanks for watching.
i wish all g.i.joe vehicles should be 1/10 scale with all details and RC control so short movies maker would use that .
Yeah that'd be great. Even if it was an option and they sold two versions. I'm toying with the idea of making my Vamp RC. Thanks for watching.
😎👍

They look directional, one way only
Not sure what you're referring to. The mounted 50 cal? Or the tires maybe?

I’m sorry but I’m old school with o-ring GI Joes
Me too. That's why my Classified collection is somewhat limited. But I do like the feel of this larger Vamp. Hasbro did a good job.
@@ActionRobotPunch that’s great wish they made it back in the day
👍👍👏👏🫡
