I picked this up a couple of weeks ago, and totally agree with your review. Loads of fun and variety, and really satisfying building up your bag as you progress through the warps!
At the end I bought it with the first expansion, all stretch goals and plastic tokens. The first play was a: meh… a solid design but I doesn’t feel engaged, the second play was: wow, interesting decisions to make. And now I want to play it more. Even if the theme doesn’t emerge too much and I am much more concentrated on puzzle than to space theme, it remains very pleasant. I think I’ll have a lot of fun with it! Thank you Mike!
Picked this game up based on your first review and play through, and played it for the first time pretty recently. Really enjoyed my first foray into bag builder solo games! Big hit with me so far.
Yeah, it’s a rare event. Doesn’t mean it’s a perfect game, or that every gamer will enjoy it. It’s more that everything they set out to do in the game works exactly as intended and can be a ton of fun :)
@@OneStopCoopShop Absolutely! I just trust your judgement when it comes to Solo gaming. I think I need this one since it is so easy to get on the table and get a game or 2. Thanks for the review :)
Thanks for sharing. Awesome. I didn't back the KS, but did buy it retail. Have it on the way. Sometimes I prefer a lighter game with quick set up, small table space use. Looks like this is that type of game.
Laser sharp review as usual. I am not surprised by the 5/5 Pros. When I watched the playthroughs on that channel I really saw a very good game. I was interested. Now I am sure I should buy it.
Agreed with this review. This is my first bagbuilder type game, and what a brilliant introduction to that sort of game it is. Just everything is great about it, though I dont have the expansion yet, probably order that today. Honestly cant think of much in the way of complaints here. Heck, it even has the benefit of not being a giant table hog! Question though: Any other bag-builders you might recommend? Specifically ones that can be played solo. I hear so very, very much about deckbuilders but very little about this sort, and I've not found any other than this that can be played this way. Is it just a rare breed of game right now? It's a breath of fresh air in any case... deckbuilders are nice and all but with things like Aeon's End (and it's quadrillion expansions) and a whole bunch of others I already have a lot of those.
I finally picked this up and for once I agree with all your points 😜 but seriously, I can't put it down! I love how powerful you feel by the end drawing so many great tokens. For the price it's great, loving the built in insert (I also picked up Circadians First Light which also has a great insert). Plastic tokens would have been nice, and I dont think the coin capsules will fit in the insert but oh well. Another playthrough would be great 👍 😀 Great content as always
@@OneStopCoopShop Actually your podcast helped me decide to get it. I'll also try it on my 8 year old daughter one day, even the Mrs was interested in it (shocking) until she pointed out the story book writers name... Banana Chan. I haven't tried that yet... Glad you're still enjoying it and it's not on the culling shelf, that's always a mark of a good game!

Awesome! Glad you like it too :)
Fun to see what other solo gamers think of these little gems, I was rather impressed with the "fun" level in this game, great design! Nice review. :)
Me too. The fun shines through

So happy to hear it! Glad I didn’t steer you wrong ;)
Damn Mike. Never seen a 5/5. A must for a solo gamer I suppose :) Cheers!

It’s perfect for the type of play you are describing. Hope you enjoy it!

Definitely one to check out! :)
Can’t wait for the new (second) expansion coming soon! Great review!
Me too!

Honestly, I don’t know many either. Coffee Roaster is well-regarded, though I like Warp’s Edge much better.
Τhank you for the video!
Humm. Looks like a new game in my future ! alot like deep space d6 but alot more to it !
Oh, for sure, DSD6 is fun, but this has a lot more tactics without feeling complex.
Nice review. Do you like this better or Under Falling Skies?
That has been a VERY tough decision for me to make. You will find out next Saturday in my top 20 video for the year ;)
@@OneStopCoopShop Are you going to consider also Viscounts of the West Kingdom, along with the Tomasaga coop mode?

I’ve been teaching it to my 8 year-old lately, and we did a podcast on it. I ADORE this one.
Super happy you are having fun too, Jack :)

Possible Top 5 of the year?!?!?!?????
Who can say? ;)
Watched this. Will buy. Hate you. 😅
In my defense, this is a more affordable game than a lot of the big ameritrash ones we cover 😅
