I've been riding it for a week and I love it. Super light, comfortable and fast rolling. Climbs like a beast! A bit pricey but it's such a quality build that I have no regrets. Added a pair of crank brothers 3 and I am now riding it tubeless.

Really hope they release the fork as an option in the future. I also really hope they take the frame back to the drawing board and fix the cable routing. When I converted my aluminum 7 to singlespeed, I couldn’t believe that it only has partial housing for the shift cables. Could probably use some geometry updates too

I just picked mine up a few weeks ago, still have to weigh it up. Changed the following:
    Tubeless Wampas
    Whiskey #9 Carbon bars
    Bontrager XXX seat post
    Xtr Pedals
    Stylo Fat Carbon cranks
    Brooks C13 Carbon saddle.
Climbs very well, only rode it on dry trails in SE Michigan, waiting for snow! 👊🏼 Nice review!

It also needs more chain ring options. The -4 offset makes it a rare aftermarket part for those cranks. It should be a 28-tooth, stock.

Now, that I have this Farley about a month- 9.6 2022 got stolen. I can say, that I went from L frame to XL due to issues with having the L size. And i am glad it went out that way, it is tons of better feeling. Now, everything feels like the previous model, even if they claim to have 4 piston brakes according to Trek site. But when you had this 2022 model, it's fork was by my opinnion the same. They seem to have taken the previous fork turned it around 180°, drilled some holes in and mounted the brake side to another side. And those mount covers fall off so so easy, I list 1 on my first easy ride, basically city cruize. Wanted to glue them, cause I will never put any racks on my speedy Beast, but late did I though about it. Put there some anodized black screws instead. Now it is even better. So if you buy this bike, You better think about those. Overall, my second bike in a row being 9.6. No other🤘💥

Looks like a great adventure/bike packing bike 😀. Oh as for the grips, those are all I ever use! Will say no rear rack mounts is a little bit of a let down, but it's not a big one since they got the front covered which is more often the biggest one for bike packing.

As far as my own personal taste goes, I still prefer the last seasons 9.6 better. It has more unique frame colour sceme- more soul innit🤘. It kind a changes through daylight. Plus it has not those matted out areas on. Plus I would never put on a carbon bike those racks, therefore no need to pay extra for couple of mounting holes in a fork. Basically the bike stays same old good👍, with different saddle. Fun is the same, quality stays the same❤. I was only for a 3 seconds lit up, when heard about new 9.6... then took a look at mine 2022 and realized, that unless you have no fattie at all, there is no need to catch this years dream😊! Farley rocks🥂

Kings Peak looks nice. With most DTC bike brands I aways wonder about long term ownership/warranty/parts availability. Fat bikes are simple machines so may not be as big of a concern, but you definitely buy confidence when going with a more established/local dealer.

Yea. Outer runs kick ass. You can easily see the problems and switch the cables. Also cheaper for the customers. Also they were a lousy front tire in all conditions, poor steering grip. Never ridden them in a 27.5 config but i'd never buy a bike with this tread pattern again and Fat bike tires ain't cheap.
