No it wasn’t. Jojo and Persona are two similar ideas conceived independently of one another. Stands in Jojo are apparently kinda rooted in racism. When the Araki went of vacation in Egypt, he was nervous about the locals because he thought they were gonna pull some kinda voodoo spirit magic on him. Personas were conceived when Atlus was toying with the idea of guardian demons while also wanting to do a game themed around the human psyche, so the put them together and BAM! Personas!
Tfw many people do not realize that Persona is actually loosely based on JoJo's Bizarre Adventures. First Jojo and persona = A bit outdated in terms of story telling but fun for everyone. Second Jojo and persona = Exciting large merry go round and regarded highly as a cult classic with the protagonists finishing almost literal GODS and deals with NAZIs. Third Jojo and persona = Deals with something about death and the end , and highly regarded a world renown success in the east and west. Edgy damaged protagonists but can be goofy. Who would want to see a JoJo X Persona cross over game? It would be a brand new JoJo story arc written by Araki, but a 120 hour RPG with Persona mechanics and themes.
I can imagine how the conversation would go if the Stardust Crusaders met the Shadow Operatives and discovered that the Shadow Ops could see stands and the Crusaders can see personas. I then could imagine Polnareff trying to hit on Mitsuru only to get denied and possibly get threatened to be executed

No it wasn’t. Jojo and Persona are two similar ideas conceived independently of one another. Stands in Jojo are apparently kinda rooted in racism. When the Araki went of vacation in Egypt, he was nervous about the locals because he thought they were gonna pull some kinda voodoo spirit magic on him. Personas were conceived when Atlus was toying with the idea of guardian demons while also wanting to do a game themed around the human psyche, so the put them together and BAM! Personas!
Tfw many people do not realize that Persona is actually loosely based on JoJo's Bizarre Adventures.
First Jojo and persona = A bit outdated in terms of story telling but fun for everyone.
Second Jojo and persona = Exciting large merry go round and regarded highly as a cult classic with the protagonists finishing almost literal GODS and deals with NAZIs.
Third Jojo and persona = Deals with something about death and the end , and highly regarded a world renown success in the east and west. Edgy damaged protagonists but can be goofy.
Fourth Jojo and persona = Dealing some murderer in a mundane quiet town.
Fifth Jojo and persona = Criminals doing criminal stuff while trying to be robin hood
The First part of JoJo has more in common with Castlevania.

5. When asked about an illusion that makes time seem to freeze, you could answer "Za warudo".
6. There are a few references to American music.
7. The Phantom Thieves have a deadline every time they do a heist, and Jotaro and the gang also had a deadline to find Dio and save Jotaro's mom.
Who would want to see a JoJo X Persona cross over game? It would be a brand new JoJo story arc written by Araki, but a 120 hour RPG with Persona mechanics and themes.
