Brian, enjoyed this flash back five years and although I’m a big fan modern image, your current Guadeloupe model is in a different league. Thanks for sharing your journey.
Nice layout ! Looks like a film from the late 1970s. Interesting to see the difference between the unpainted and the painted and weathered pecotrack. Looks great ! Nice to see thegood old SP ! Thanks !
Nice SP local operation doing the same a little later time period . Have GP38-2 and GP40-2 units along with MP15ac , SW1500 units assigned to local and yard service . Have SD40T-2 but they are assigned to the only train that has these a unit coal train from DRGW energy branch .
Great looking trains Brian. Your work seems to be tops. At 4:49 where did you get the lumber loads from? Here's SP in Nor Cal about two decades earlier you might like. s1083.photobucket.com/user/Charles-Smiley/slideshow/MODEL-RR/?albumview=slideshow
Charles, the pictures are excellent. Two decades earlier is around the period of my "main" SP interest: Coast Line 1954, so they're really useful. Many thanks for the link.
All the track seen in the video is PECO Code 75 UK-style, since their US-style Code 83 was not yet released when I started to build the layout. I now use PECO Code 83.
That work train is awesome... very original.
Fantastic. Especially loved your SD7’s!!
Thanks for sharing!

Great video, really enjoyed it. You brought back the SP , as we knew it, with the excellent weathering of your loco's and rolling stock.

Brian Moore Keep up the good work.
Exquisite EssPee :)
what kind of track did you use
All the track seen in the video is PECO Code 75 UK-style, since their US-style Code 83 was not yet released when I started to build the layout. I now use PECO Code 83.
Did you scratch build the GP20 or is it a P2K? It's looks amazing
AFAIK, my friend Rob Mallett detailed and re-sprayed his Proto GP20. I'll pass your kind words on.

Judging by the stock used this must be some time between 1959 - 1961.
The Arctic Gamer Hello. The locomotives and stock are from the 1975-85 period.

Really, and no SD35's SD40R's or SD40-2's?
We're depicting local freight action, where GP9s, SD7s and SD9s were what pulled most of the trains.
*SOME* southern pacific trains? I don't think so!
