I just bought this as I was watching it all winter for ice camping. It was $249 and at $99 I jumped. Thanks for the review as I was curious how it looked after I purchased.
Just got mine in the mail today for $99. They look very strong. No instructions so thanks for the video. I don't camp. I bought my cots for the storm shelter. Tornados often come during the middle of the night. I will be ready next time.
@Shewatha Yates Gusler you are very welcome. Shelter in place is a great idea for use of these. I was thinking sleep overs as well but emergency bedding is great! Thanks for watching, also the instructions are on the bags they come with.
@Amanda Hamby lots of people are buying them and I too wanted to see them before I bought them, so I’m showing before other purchase. I was scared they would have only come with one cot but not the case. Thanks for watching
These were gone when I looked, darn it. I got one of those Walmart Canvas wall tents, that you reviewed, when they were marked way down. A couple of these would have been perfect for that tent. Looking at your couch set up, it seems to me that those bottom brackets could be flipped over to get the bar much lower and out of the middle of your back. Great review and your dog rocks!
@mrhalfstep hmm maybe they could be flipped making it more comfortable. Have you used the tent yet? I am still really liking the tent. Thanks for watching
Wow, not bad bunk beds at all !!! Great demo 👍 I love your partner. Can't wait to get to go with my new partner... she's a t month old Malionis X "Shepard mix" what a beauty. Very smart... super easy to train. ...Alan in 🇨🇱
they look very strong, Im more like 300 so I wouldnt try the top bunk but Im sure the bottom would hold me. Rolling over would be an issue just like any camp cot... couch mode is interesting
@Doc Ink they feel very strong too. Very heavy, thick poles. The weak point will be the plastic end caps on the poles that slide into the leg ends. Thanks for watching
So.... not for backpacking... maybe not even for winter polk camping. Even looks a little big for car camping unless you are using a truck or a van. Still pretty cool. I could see that these would be great for a cabin for when you need an extra bunk or two.
@Doc_Watson well depending on the size of your backpack lol. But no. Packed up in the bag I would say they aren’t much bigger than my deluxe Coleman cots. In a cabin is a great idea or even at the house for sleepovers for kiddo. Store under their bed and setup when needed. They have their uses but carrying them to a far out land isn’t one of them lol. And your Polk would have to be huge. Thanks for watching
@FahhCuee heck yeah. As kids bunks are just cooler. The classic blue ones we had worked great though lol. We used to strap ‘‘em to the roof of the station wagon remember? Lol. Thanks for watching
@@AdventureswithSpackmann I do remember!! I actually have a picture that your mom took of us all sleeping in a row on them, in the dining room area in front of that waterfall. You know, until we started getting bigger. Those things were really comfortable!! After a certain height they started getting uncomfortable. But they went to hell and back with us tho!! Good freaking times man, good times!! 👏🏼🙌🏼🗣🗣🗣
What is that claw machine-like thing at the beginning of the video? We picked up two sets of these cots for super easy low build adventure camper van. Thanks for the video - it will be helpful as there was little info on these on web before now.
@BonichFam they are such a good deal for the price. The claw thing is a grappling hook I bought off Amazon or eBay a couple years ago. They work just like they show. Picks up almost anything lol. Thanks for watching
Cool looking set-up. I did notice a lot of "butt sag" in the fabric. I would make sure I was on the top bunk if any of my bud's were "weight challenged".😀 Take it easy Chris. Roger
@Jason Johnson check the description of this video for the giveaway video link. Then follow the instructions from there. Oh brining up the cold weather and the plastic is a great point. Now I’m wondering the same. Thanks for watching
Where did you find them? Walmart here is sold out completely, looks like I'm going to be buying the disco beds instead, what one Tigris tent are you using?
@The Bear’s Hiking & Outdoorsman’s.. they quickly sold out unfortunately. I told them online on Walmarts website. The tent is the tegimen. I’ve heard good things about the disco beds. Thanks for watching
@Brian H are they heavier than these? Bigger packed in bags too? These are light either but about the same size as my Coleman deluxe cot when packed up. Thanks for watching
@@AdventureswithSpackmann About as heavy, but packed smaller. About a 40 lb bag each. It baffles me that neither of these could be built in aluminum for instance. But they're already pricey as it is.
@John R my original price showed $499 so I think 243 is still a good price if you’re looking for bunks. Still cheaper than the other discobeds. They sold out in a day after posting this. Thanks for watching
@@AdventureswithSpackmann Im working on loosing weight but im only at 230, and thats a little close for my comfort. Might get one anyway and just set it aside. I mean $99 is hard to beat...
