Perfect, this is going to help me imensly rebuilding my gearbox for my matchless g3l, my gearbox is 1939 so can exchange the bearings for a bush like yours? Behind the secondary casing that is. Thanks so much for your video.
That should be no problem. I suggest you give Steve Surbey a call at AMC Classic spares to source the bush 01462 811770. Glad you find the vid useful. Don’t hesitate to make contact if you run into any problems
Mate I wished you lived down the road from me! I feel like I will ride my g3l 350 rigid until it breaks,it's all just too much hard work, bad enough rebuilding the head! I can't even be bothered to take the wheels off.
Working on them is half the fun. OK maybe 10% of the fun. I do work on bikes for customers so when she eventually breaks down give me a bell if you’d rather outsource the work. Here’s my website: terencejones99.wixsite.com/matchless
Hi Bob - mine came off fairly easily by using an adjustable spanner to hold the bolt head and a socket to undo the nut. Might be worth trying a little heat (heat gun or hairdryer) followed by a penetrant line WD40 or GT85. Leave it for a bit then try again
@@BobbyD-r6w here’s the rebuild video: ua-cam.com/video/qtOatAYs6b0/v-deo.htmlsi=5rtox_iTyMGr-bxo I did use a liquid bonding agent as you will see but it went in so tight it may not have been necessary
Great video! Thank you.
Thank you very much, excellent video, very demonstrative. I have to change the gearbox sprorcket on my G3L48 and I was completely unsure how.
@@diamantinoabreu666 glad I could help. Good luck with your bike
