If they are skeins that have 2 parts twisted together like the ones she had in her right hand at the start if the video but you essentially just roll it into a ball. But no you dont have to so it with all skeins. If you look at the one she had in her left hand that on doesnt need winding. I'm so glad to see someone else (especially someone so young) who can wind by hand! I'm 60, and I remember being 6-7, holding skeins for my mother while she wound her yarn. I still wind by hand when I have partial skeins left; the money I'd spend to buy a good winder is better used getting more yarn 😊❤

You finished more than half of my blanket that took me a few months to do, and I'm still not finished!! Really goes to show what a dedicated day and skill can do. I only crochet when I'm at school.
