Rishi increased taxes on the workers, reduced them on the super wealthy. Rishi is worth £700 million. Why would a man worth £700 million want such a busy job that pays 200k? What's really in it for him? Could it be writing tax laws that protect people like him while taxing most people more?
Why is his wife offering to pay millions so long as there isn't an investigation into their taxes?

"Duplicitous weasel" I like it.
It's like watching an Evil adult version of Millhouse from the Simpsons.
If that was a "dignified resignation" I'd hate to see an undignified one.
This man will get a fat load of nothing for his appalling efforts. The gap between them and most of us is unreal, Jacob is living in a totally different dimension, and wants offing for his ever pompous denial laden fabrications.
"I don't think anyone was expecting a further apology". No, because he isn't sorry for anything. What I am hoping for are criminal charges once he leaves office. As for Rees Mogg being in the cabinet under a new leader I hope no-one is so stupid as to let this nasty selfish man anywhere near public office again.
Well said. The man is an upper crust prat.He encapsulates all that is wrong with the tories, the way that other prat corbyn did with his lot.
Most people as delusional as mogg are in institutions not in government!!
Yes comrade!!!
@@fijay2400 You are a seething prejudiced and bigoted fanatic - I have never been a Tory but to describe Mogg as 'nasty selfish' is idiotic.
Rees Mogg is very switched on, impressive.
?
Hopefully, a joke?
Great irony 😂
He runs on hot air and insanity.
because he speaks with plums in his mouth........ that's not cool
I love how they are so loyal to each other but not their electorates.
👍👍👏👏 can't stand mogg or any of them
He sounds FAR more intelligent than anyone else, never in my life would i have said that about a tory but employ that man.
Seems to me that Mogg is the next man for PM
I'd bring back hanging if JRM was first up !
Good joke. High five?
love a bit of Moggster
Rishi a PM with an Indian wife that does not pay taxes. Wonderful!
Jacob Rees-Mogg is Channel 4's token Tory. "Some of my best friends are not left wing," says Channel 4.
Jacob-Rees Mogg would have been a terrible Prime Minister for Britain.
Yes, absolutely awful!
is not enough , they all need to be investigated for fraud , and police should be questioned if they facilitate bj on the partigate investigation, is so clear how much corruption is all around. they ghetting away thanks to the intricate interpretation of laws and even more their political status.
amazing man, about time we had a none back stabbing weasel.....well done Mr. Mog the last man in Westminster
Mr mogg would be a cracking PM
The rest are dross
You would have to have the intelligence of fart to think that
This man is a cartoon version of himself.
Wasn't he the bad guy in Charlie & the Chocolate Factory???
He absolutely was!!! Lol
I got a GREAT IDEA to solve this issue. Call a GENERAL ELECTION!
👆 this guy
Mogg ONE of the few that sit “sorry lays in parliament “ that he is the only one rational, Mogg for leader, integrity and a wonderful vocabulary
Though it's hard to omit the truth very bitter ?
Mogg ; has chosen his words very carefully & skillfully second Boris hope he speaks less lies , would be fit to lead 👍
Dupery exchange of views and brilliantly executed by Chanel 4. I’m not always a fan, but this was a very well balanced interview with excellent, searching questions and very insightful answers.
A pleasure to watch!
@@SA-bg6kr Hi Nadine!
@@SA-bg6kr The entire media sucks and the Tories suck even more!
Watching Mogg.....not a pleasure...more like snuff porn.
Why does anyone think mogg has any credibility? The minister of Brexit opportunities hasn’t found any! The damage this lunatic has done to the UK is incredible.
We dont want him ...
Boring
Rees Mogg said it well, and the interviewer was out of his depth. It was pleasant to see and hear someone, who still stands with Boris, and as Rees Mogg said, a sad day when one sees an essentially decent and successful PM laid low by a minority, on the basis of a few relatively minor transgressions. With all this furore, we may forget that a very great number of people in the country voted Boris in, and regret his political demise. History may treat him more kindly than the people have.
You're having laugh! Good one!
Ha ha- you got me! I'd read it twice before i realised!!
@@johnevans2553 It really isn’t a laughing matter, unless one has a poor sense of humour, and a tendency to vote other than Conservative.
It is a dire time for the world, as if one didn’t know, and the U.K. has a big part to play. Who replaces Boris?
@@nicholasgerrish6022 If you truly believe that the blonde clown was 'an essentially decent and successful PM laid low by a minority, on the basis of a few relatively minor transgressions' you must be completely delusional or forgot to take your meds .
But one thing we agree on; there is absolutely no-one in the current shithouse of a Government, from either main party, that I would trust to do the job with any integrity.
@@wildskel6350 I am relieved that you realised. It was written in plain English, and wasn’t meant to obfuscate.
One irritatingly hysterical interviewer and a very patient and calm Rees-Mogg.
And yes, Sunak would be a disaster.
The inability of the those in government (those whom specifically came from the financial service sector like and not limited too JRM or SJ) to separate what makes and keeps the finance service sector senior employees rich versus the macro economics of actually building a healthier more caring society, for the long term, is never more evident to me than when a right wing (look at Hansard on how JRM votes on humanitarian issues, its horrific) talks about "fiscal policy" and "keeping public sector costs under control" as that is (imo) why we are in the cyclical mess we are in. Keep the financial service sector ex employees, lobbyists etc out of our governments (all parties).
@@en-garde2258 true! Finance in government (macro economics) and barring conflicted employees from the financial service sector, is not the same "thing" imo.
That's the insidious bit of JRM.
If you didn't understand what he meant and hear the dog whisles to austerity, I could see many people sucked into his rhetoric and supporting what he is saying
jacob-rees mogg is a racist aristocrat- pure and simple.
Excellent succinct analysis. All the best.
You can't spend money you haven't got. Printing it generates inflation and actually makes the rich proportionally richer because of their low monetary velocity. How hard is this to understand?
General Election now!
yes
Too soon. Tories have not imploded enough.
This guy is incredibly good.
Cabinet minister Jacob-Rees Mogg has claimed there would have to be a general election if Boris Johnson was ousted by his party and replaced with a new prime minister.
Unfortunately for Boris his leadership was a bit like tbe disaster at Arnhem in late WW2. A number of little mishaps all got together which on those own would not have amounted to much. But all together they clobbered him. His premiership was 'A Bridge Too Far'.
Is the Rees-Moggster still paying his corporate taxes in Ireland, the Cayman Islands and Singapore? How he has the face to show his in public I'll never know.
I would if I had the cash.
If Mr Rees Mogg feels the chancellor didnt do the job properly why doesnt he go for the job himself
He has to be appointed to the job and I wouldn't be surprised if the new PM selects him for that role.
Krishnan Guru-Murthy , totally outclassed , and getting a bit hysterical at times.
This reporter is always the same, interrupts most of the time and repeats questions which have been answered but not the answer he wants to hear. Abysmal. JRM is intelligent and classy.
At least with Mogg you know where you stand. Phoney posh voice and totally unaware of the real life. But he’s consistent and doesn’t try to pretend he can relate.
Please 0121 do one Jacob. The right time, my God, the right time was months ago Jacob. You sounds posh but you really are clueless Jacob.
It wouldn't surprise me if his 'posh voice' is all a pretense and when he gets home at night and closes the front door to the outside world, shouts inside to his wife, "Get me tea on love!".
They were all complicit in this
Jacob-Rees Smug always trying to prove that his high priced education wasn't a complete waste.
prove
Haha 😂
His a proud man very opiniative always want to come smart
And failing dismally
