Swiss biologist David Bittner has spent the last seven years forging intimate relationships with these feared predators in the same area of Alaska where Timothy Treadwell was infamously mauled by a grizzly. Now, for the first time, he’s let someone in to capture his remarkable life.
In this first episode, filmmaker Richard Terry is given a harsh introduction to the Alaskan wilderness as he follows Swiss biologist David Bittner to the heart of the ‘grizzly maze’, the exact spot where Timothy Treadwell infamously met his grizzly end.

I am not talking about the two bears that were killed by officials.. obviously, dead bears can’t produce anything else..🙄
There was an overlap of two years - Bittner's first summer there was 2002; Treadwell died in 2003. Did they run into each other? Did they talk? Did Timothy teach him his "methods"?
David will suffer the same fate as Timothy unfortunately 😢

That’s because he went right before hibernation season and one of the bear was starving for feed. He did survive 13 summers

Katmai rules recommend people staying 50 yards away from bears, 100 yards away from mothers with cubs. This dude does neither.

If they get eaten then is their fault! Let the bears live! It infuriates me !! For the bears not the idiots doing this ! The national park should either put these idiots away in jail or don’t euthanize the bears if they get eaten period!!!

There are TONS of differences between the two.
This guy's voice is so similar to Treadwell's. They are similar in so many ways including how delusional they are, pretending to respect bears when their behavior is the exact opposite. If you respect and love them, leave them alone
They sound NOTHING alike. David is Swiss (with a strong German accent) and Timothy was American with an effeminate voice. They're also nothing alike with regards to how they interact(ed) with the bears. David isn't trying to protect them whereas Timothy convinced himself that he was. David DOES leave them alone, he merely observes.

Healthy, happy, well fed bears may be fine to hang out with. But when a bear has lost the ability to forage and eat, lost his habitat because he's too old to fight or breed...maybe has broken glass embedded in teeth and gums, is sick, injured, well then what? It doesn't matter how well you 'get along' with the healthy bears....it only takes one problem bear to end your life in a most gruesome and hideous way. Grizzlies don't kill and then eat you - you're alive for the beginning of their dinner and you ARE dinner. I hope he makes it out alive and doesn't get another bear killed as Timothy Treadwell did but ---I wouldn't put any money on it.
