Humans interpret reality in different ways. Religion is but one of them.

Of course. That’s the reason why there are hundreds of thousands of different religions.
But some interpretations comport more closely with reality than others. Let’s not pretend that Lord Zenu, Bullet Baba, and Hale-Bopp Heaven’s Gate are all equitable and reasonable interpretations.
