Yesir that's a chopper!
Thank you Luke!
That salt thing was great beautiful chopper
Thank you Barry! Was wondering if anyone would catch that 😁
Beautiful!! I want it!!!
Thank you Daniel!
That's a Chopper!!!
Thank you Steve!
" gentlemen you have 3 days to go back to your home forges, make a chopper at least 12 inches long ..." "It will KEEL"
It's a beast and sharp!!!🤣👊👏
Thank you! 👍
Nice Erick👏you gonna scare all the Orcs out of Mordor with this Beast 💪but seriously that’s a big one nice work and super Etching 🍀I love it 😍
Thank you Klaus!
To everyone involved in this challenge,
I have been watching most of you for quite a while. I am a huge supporter of small businesses, especially those that create and add a sense of community. All of you have done a great job doing both of those things. Thank you for sharing your journey’s with us. Good luck everyone
Thank you Chad!
awesome chopper
Definately YES. That is a chopper, big time. 👍👍👍
Man got really mad, congrats on the job.!👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you! 👍
Perfect wall hanger for a Barber.....
For that "tough beard".
I'd go with a camo kydex sheath for that one..lol.
Finally, a suitable machete for Johnson grass..lol.
My first machete was acquired in Boy Scouts.
I imagine that would be the ultimate Boy Scout machete.
Lol.
Gorgeous piece man!
Damn brother! That's savage!
Thank you! It's so much fun smashing through things with it lol.
@@theriversexperience9383 I believe it! You looked like a kid on Christmas going to town on that 2x4!
Nice piece, that’s a two-hander for sure!
Thank you James!
Looks great...cool orc sword....I would take it😮😊
Thank you Rick!
Man That Came Out AWESOME!!!! 🤘🤘🤘
Thank you! Of course yours was insane! I love that thing.
Absolutely- and thank you so much!! 😊🙏🙏🙏
Dude! The image of you laughing and demolishing a 2x4 with that chopper was great! The finish is very creative, like a collaboration between Jackson Pollock and Sauron I love it. Always a work of art.
Thank you Victor!
When you did that comparison shot with the other knife, my thought was "You call that a knife? THIS is a knife."
Great build brother.
Thank you Michael!
The etch came out great. I'll have to try that finishing technique.
WICKED !!!!!! Thanks for the video!
Thank you!
Wish it was for sale. Man that’s badass
Best come back. My repect for that arm of yours. What a beast of a chopper.
Thank you! It was one heck of a workout lol.
That thing is crazy ! Glad you were able to get it done in time Erick !
Thank you Steven, it was crunch time 😆.
good job
Badass chopper My vote is on your's
Chop chop chop chop!
Choppity chop chop!
That's a nice "happy little tree" you ended up with!
Thank you David 😁
excelente my friend ,congratulation ¡¡
24:04 "Does this qualify as a chopper?" Yes, yes, it does. Sweet functional build!
Thank you! 😁
3 days is really impressive. It also explains were you got to this week :)
That's a really wicked handle material too
Thanks Kris!
That thing is a freaking BEAST! Well done sir!
Thank you Jim!
Loving these challenges
Me too!
Respect bro! Forged that all by hand! 💪🏻 glad you prevailed as that’s definitely a badass chopper!!
Thanks Man!
Hello!
A lovely job.
Congratulations and I wish you the best.
Greetings!
Thank you Leandro!
Awesome work! I can definitely feel you're letting off some steam on that demo 😁
Real bummer with that first blade but you're right, this really turned out like it's meant to be 🙌
Yup, put all the anger into the hammer and anvil lol.
Dude, you're a beast! Did this build make you want to get a press!? 😂
Yes, it absolutely made me want a press 😆
That's a big thing to forge with only hand hammer. And that thing will definitely chop💪💪
It was a beast to forge that's for sure!
I like it
Thank you James!
Yaptığın işler çok güzel tam benim tarzım aynı kafadayız, Allah sağlık versin devam et.
That thing is a monster! Beautiful work my dude! 🤘🔥
Thank you! Of course yours is a monster as well lol. I want to make something like that now!
Nice turnaround on that one Erick! As usual, you did a great job! Now, I need to grab some leaf spring and make a massive one for myself for wood splitting while camping, lol!
Dude, it's so much fun swinging this thing!
@@theriversexperience9383 I bet! It looks amazing!
Holy cow that's a monster man! Great job
It was a blast chopping stuff with it lol.
Oh man, Red Beard I said your build was a beast. It definitely is and I’m not taking it back but…orc sword. You guys are 2 of my biggest influences, thanks to you both and both amazing builds!
I knew you’d come back from the cracked blade. Epic build!
Thanks Man! Gotta push through it!
Always love the Armstrong power hammer forging! You were leading in the judge's competition with me, until you said you couldn't wait for it to get cold again! 😂 Jokes aside, excellent work my friend!
Lol, I'm good with the cold. The 110° days can stay away 😅
for a 3 day build that is seriously impressive, congrats on the build as looks great
Thank you Andy!
Man that thing is a beast! My viewer challenge knife is almost the exact same except it's the 1 handed version and I thought it was hefty. You really knocked it out in just 3 days.
Thank you Fred!
Thats really cool, I love it! I did a machete style chopper for my viewer entry and was chopping some cedar with it, but I think yours is way stronger than mine. Great video!
That is a awesome looking knife, nice work
Thank you Richard!
สุดยอดครับ👍👍👍👍❤️❤️
Thank you! 👍
Incrível....
Really impressive work looks a lot like a zombie head expedited removal tool anyway if you don't mind what was the handle material you used it seemed like it had a lot of reflective glass in it.
Thank you Shane! That handle material was basically fiber glass lol... so itchy!
@@theriversexperience9383 okay thank you
@@theriversexperience9383 gotta wear some gloves every use lol
Your comment on sticking to what it is you want to make is why I got so excited for this challenge. Gave me an excuse to push myself. I really appreciate that you guys put it together, and included the viewers.
Your build looks like a perfect Chopper. Worthy of a judge's build. I want one of those now. I really like the profile and the unique finish. Great job!
Your power hammer kept slowing down the longer it ran. It could use some elbow grease.
Lol! It should could 🤣
Nice chopper! I'm a beginner. I am inspired to try something like this. My metal building should go up in 2 weeks or so. I still need to build a forge and build a grinder. What was the little horizontal belt sharpener you were using? Thanks for posting the video. Liked and subscribed.
That little grinder is a 1x30 that they sell at Harbor Freight. A lot of knife makers start with one like that (that's what I did).
That’s a short handle hog splitter almost
Me like love this one .. super sharp .. u selling this?
Love it! I'm just now seeing this. Did you win?
Not sure if you’re going for the chopper challenge or the first maker to get carpal tunnel challenge?…awesome build! Definitely like the masking before etch idea (Matt Rich)…endless possibilities! Shame about the first attempt…it looked pretty nice too.
Thank you Jason. The cracked one shall turn into a couple of cool blades soon.
Holy crap, it's a monster! Too bad about the original one, but this was a great save. Very cool etch!
Thank you Cory!
I worry about you sometimes bud haha
Me too man... me too 😄
Amazing work, esp for being a 3 day build. Others I've seen so far may beat yours aesthetically, but only a couple come close functionally!
Edit: Not saying yours looks bad, just not same level of polish some of the contestants put in, which again makes total sense having to restart with just 3 days to go. Great job!
Thank you! 👍
That turned out looking awesome! I love the design of the blade!
I actually have a chopper design that I need to get started on, but I was curious as to where I can submit my work in the chopper challenge and when's the latest I can do it?
Thank you Isaac! We have a group on Facebook called "UA-cam Knife Makers Challenge"
The deadline for submissions was the 20th, sorry man. There will be another challenge before too long.
looking forward to watching you and the other channels make some big nasty choppers. Cheers
Thank you, there are a bunch a builds to binge watch. I'm watching them now.
What is that liquid in the metal box ?
Its my quench oil.
@@theriversexperience9383Thanks for your explanation 👍
How big is the blade overall length
The blade is cutting edge is 16" long.
The overall length is 26"
Fire creek hammer?
Yup, fire creek hammer.
@@theriversexperience9383 I have a 4 pounder and love it, love the vids man
@@chrisgilbert3305 this is one of the 5 lb hammers, it's a beast but once you get used to it. It's just like swinging any other hammer... ish. Lol.
@The Rivers' Experience lol, I thought about it but I came from a 2.5 so I didn't want to think I was a badass and then not use it, the 4 is nice, maybe eventually I'll go bigger, 5s a man's hammer,
@The Rivers' Experience yours and redheads are my favorites, I like how he used a sledge hammer, you'd get my vote
Need a press ?
Yes! Lol. Nothing like forging something this large by hand.
Was kostet so eins?
Kann ich das kaufen mein Freund?
Can you get ahold of me I’d like to buy one thx
