They should do a Forged in Fired: Judges Edition.
That would be awesome!
Great idea!
Yes just yes
who would judge the judges?
It will "Kill" (keeel)... Great idea, and bring back some contestants that remember j neilson bashing their blades to fail next tests.. and bash up his.. lol. And Doug just let him stab the shit out of the ballistics dummies as normal... let's see who crumbles under time pressure
That's a sexy blade, regardless of the forge time. You taking lunch in the middle is such a power move and I respect that.
His commentary is honestly me talking to myself when I work on cars
"I'm acting all calm right now but the last two hours I'm gonna get all crazy" proceeds to be calm the whole time. What a master of his craft. That was a joy to watch. Also, he seems like such a cool dude.
Chris Lo I know Jason personally. He doesn’t get freaked out, at least not that I’ve ever seen. He is by far, one of the neatest guys on earth to talk to.
I like that we finally get to see his personality. Love his sense of humor.
After binge watching a pile of Forged In Fire, this is really cool to see. I found your easy to reach short term floor storage technique especially instructive.
Be good to see you tag a few smiths, get the 4 hour challenge going. If it wasn't already, it should now be considered set. Great video.
You're awesome Jason thanks for being you and my Facebook friend!!!
I'm also a fellow south Carolinian who is getting into the art of Dinking around with steel. I'm glad I found your Channel I am learning a lot !
@2:46 I was 1/2 expecting Wil Willis to scream "Gentlemen your design period is now over!"
Bad to the bone. I need that. Jason and Winkler are my 2 GOATS. I will rep them till the day I die. True masters of their craft and so much more.
Very cool. I mean your style. And your skill is beyond skill. It’s masterful. Thank you.
I like Jason's irreverent style. A wrap of joking around, but with a core of seriousness.
A san mai approach!
Yeah Jason is a based guy and he has an excellent name too.
I would like to think that even if he was the only person in the shop, he'd still be talking to himself hahaha. So enjoyable to watch!
Really cool shape and finished build. Made it look fairly simple from great planning and a lot of experience. Glad I found your channel as enjoyable vids and enjoy the banter that shows how much you enjoy what your doing. Looking forward to more!
hey Jason, i like they way you remained cool throughout.
Need more of Jason Knight and his chattering. Love it!
So this is the real Forged in Fire 🤘
simply love the you you are! Keep on pushing the limits. I always learn lots and love the humour... !!!
"Yeah, I say it's exactly that size" *Drops the hot knife on the drawing and burn through it.
The ease with you work clearly indicates your experience with the entire process. As you said have a plan and follow it smoothly. Your no nonsense way about handling the steel is something to behold. I hear your jokes and see you dance but the the master craftsman cannot hide when you're working the material. A pleasure to watch, thank you for creating the video.
So glad you’re posting videos. Miss seeing you on forged in fire.
This one of my favorite videos ever that you’ve made. I like the general spirit throughout.
Awesome to watch a master smith working under time constraint and see what you come out with.
A beast. Love the format of the show. Love to see you have 2 days and what you would come up with.
I love watching people who are great at what they do work! This is awesome
Insane. Beautiful. You make it look so easy.
Cool handle gonna have to try that. Nice work
That was badass
"the two really skinny ones are really dark, want to know what that tells me? nothing." LOL
Hi Jason.,..great video!...we miss you on Forged in Fire!...Take care brother!
Awesome as always 👍🏼 I love the compound grind. Thank you for sharing Jason 🙏🏻
I have to say, it's a treat to watch a master beating away at his craft. In awe at the size of those mitts you've got too!
Great video Jason!
Awesome! Great job Mr. Knight
A true master craftsman and artist! Really impressed by the economy of motion and seemingly effortless movements. What a beautiful piece of functional art.
before i started blacksmithing i would have looked at 4 hours and like some of you i would have thought "ez W'' but after taking 10+ hours of hard ass work to pound round stock into a ok-ish scythe i have a whole new appreciation for this.
Love watching you work. Your a true artist, love your blades.
Something so fascinating watching a master at work. Great job.
That was totally awesome, fun to watch a maker in his element.
Love watching a professional at his craft show you how to do it!
Outstanding design and size! Fun watching you work this blade! Keep them coming.....
That is an incredibly beautiful knife. He’s such a beast with a style all his own. 🔥🔥
This is first time I have watched a Jason video. On FIF, I come away with the impression of a man devoid of a sense of humor. I'm glad to see I was wrong.
just fantastic Jason congratulations
I thoroughly enjoyed watching this video! Cool Host!! Cool Jams!! Cool Knife!!
Thanks Jason Knight for sharing the knowledge, I am from Brazil and enjoy your video
Absolutely fantastic! Always full of my kinda humor, inspired to make a knife everytime I watch!
Fantastic confidence and amazing skills. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Greatest knife ever? No...A knife I would bet my life on and one I would be proud to own / love to own? ABSOLUTELY...Thank you for bringing us along for the making of this. Definitely inspiring and great to watch a master plying his craft.
Hanging out with Jason Knight for one day would be the most mind blowing experience! Haha
I was lucky enough to talk to him for a few minutes at blade show last year. What was awesome to me is that he approached me, not the other way around. I didnt want to bother him. He gave me some very solid advise on power hammers.
This craft has some really good people within it. I’ve been making things with my hands since I was a kid but after my 10 years in the Army I found Blacksmithing/bladesmithing I knew I found my forever home. I’m 35 but I look up to guys like Jason that so passionately advocate for the prestige of being a maker.
I totally agree with you. This craft is full of makers that actually enjoy helping other makers so we can all learn from each other. I've been smithing for 3 years and one of the highlights so far has been talking to Jason.

Just "dinking" around for four hours and turned out a rad knife! Thanks for the great lesson, keep them coming.
Pleasure to watch you work.
You and Jay got me into this passion...Thank you! Great video!
I love the idea of challenge videos like this. You should make more of these when you have the time. That knife looks great man!
Super job! That shop is pretty special.
Just stumbled onto your channel and all I can say is that is an awesome blade for 4 hours.......you truly are a Master.
You are an incredible forger .....four hours and made it easily .
Awesome, glad you are on youtube.
Amazing as always keep the videos coming get to laugh and learn 👍👍👊
Great job Jason.
Great video. Shows how even under a time constraint you don't need to freak out! Think of the process...... do your work. Issues will always arise. Think outside the box get it done. Thanks for taking us to your home Forge.
Great video, thanks for posting!
You make it look so easy! Great looking knife
Very informative. I enjoy your tutorial showmanship while you are making a blade.
I'm learning something new every video I watch.
Awesome work!! Truly a master of your craft.
Beautiful job man and as always love the content.
It was great to watch and very informative as well
That's a beast of a knife. Love it.
Love your work!
Love your you tube channel. Keep them coming !!
I really like the blade profile. Awesome video. Thanks Jason, and your team of course. Very informative as always. I dig the comedic value in all your work it really shows that you’re just having a good time but still passionate about the craft.
Great work ...big fan of yours
I miss you on the show, I like the other guys on there also. It always seemed like you pulled for the smiths in a different way. When J. Nielson would see a flaw he would try to destroy it. You always seemed to be more fair. All that aside i did not realize how Zen and chill you are. It is a pleasure to watch you work and overcome the challenges that pop up. Like going to a coffin shape when you realized it was going to be a wrap. Definitely the "Bob Ross" of master smithing.
Jason Knight, Excellentay. The Man with a Plan. Knight Saber. thanx a bunch.
I appreciate your apathy, in this. My eldest and I laughed a lot, and were still impressed with the build.
That is one beast of a knife, outstanding!
Love the close up longshots at the end. What a beast. Both the knife and Jason.
Nice job, learnt loads thanks
Fantastic video, friggin hilarious. Great work, thanks Jason.

You have some unbelievable skills
First video I watched and it won me over. Great stuff
Love the double grind!
That is a beutiful knife!!! I can't believe how casually you went around forging a knife in 4 hours. It like "rushing? Meh"!!!!! Sweet build 👍
Beautiful work
Just started to watch Jason his no bull attitude is really cool his knifes are some of the best I’ve seen hope to lurn a lot more watching his skills come to life. 👍🏻
Amazing as always to watch your ability and the sharing of your knowledge.. Thank you.

Awesome knife! I was looking forward to watching this. Especially since I'm hand sanding today.
Very fun to watch. You made that look easy. Like the blade shape and your approach to what you were doing. You had a goal and you didn’t rush. Thanks for the video, the tips and the comedy. Fun sense of humor.
Really enjoyed the video. Very cool.
