Mrs Venora Brown did her good singing on this song! And is STILL singing.
Hey, send her a copy of the link to this UA-cam video.
WOW! Thank you for sharing that!
Mississippi Mass Choir was the blueprint for the 90s churches!!!!
I smiled throughout the entire analysis!
And yes, Mrs ma’am is having a good ol time sangin this!
yes
💯💯💯💯
YES!!!❤
I agree along with the Thompson Community Singers Chicago
GA Mass Choir
MISSISSIPPI MASS is the standard and they're STILL SINGING their faces off!
Choirs. Singing. In. Robes. Such wonderful memories of an incredible time. Thank you, Jaron!
I have ALWAYS loved this song?🎶🎶
Me TOO ❤
Thank you Jaron for this reaction to our song! We appreciate you for this awesome video! We just released our second single off our upcoming album. #MMC #soprano #alto #tenor
Never gets old….the incomparable Mississippi Mass Choir!!! I’m about to shout
Me too!😍😋. This probably is my second favorite of theirs. My favorite is I'm Not Tired Yet!!
That whole ad lib where she drops low "having you there made the difference" and then the little scat is Mary J Blidge "loving you is all i wanna do... Loving you said loving you is all that I all that i wanna do..."
This song same first so the question is who was doing the vocal production on that song? Maybe Faith Evans? She would definitely know gospel enough to bring that in. She's not listed on the credits for "Real Love" though
Yess pure 90s musicality
Remember this was Before Mary's song. Some songwriters, "Borrow" from the past
@@mizrelmizrelI was gunna ask about marry
Now that you mention it….
Her range is phenomenal. It's was entertaining how she showcased it.
9:02 is legit my favorite part of the entire song😅 that and her positive delivery
The soloist is Venora Brown of the Mississippi Mass Choir! This is also one of my favorites!
This song is one of my go to’s when I need I’m going through something. ❤❤
I miss choirs
Choir is back at our church 🙌🏾
So do I
I was listening to Benita Washington and a choir whose name I don’t know, sing Thank You, yesterday afternoon.
Remember that hit??
😂😂❤❤YESS!!✔ GOOD ONES!!😊😊😊😊😊❤❤🎉🎉🎉
Yasssss!!! she sang like 55 octaves! In my opinion, this is MMC best album. I recall we used to have the vinyl record #tellingmyage#😆 last note...the 90's was the best choir era
A MFNNNN CLASSIC 😭😩 churchy kids knowwww
Indeed!
Yes mam!
True vocalist. She is having fun, using energy, poise, and grace...Her approach made you believe and feel that having God makes the difference.
They were truly a Mass choir! Nothing like the sound of a big old booming group of magnificent voices. Love it!!
Not taking ANYTHING away from the Choir or Soloist, but the Musicians we’re cooking as well. This Song has an infectious groove to it
You have to do the reaction of the same lead singer and choir on this song victory in Jesus She’s only known popular for this song, but I want people to recognize her for other songs that she has done. Check out What Shall I Render. And All in His Hands. All in His Hands was on the same project as Having You There. She did two songs back to back that night.
Make Choir music the norm again! Mississippi Mass was everything!!
Real talk
We used to wear this out in the 90s... baaaaby. I miss singing in a choir.
This song STILL hits!!! ❤
Loved seeing this!! I fell in love with the Mississippi Mass Choir when I was about13 years old and I'm 47 now. Their music never gets old. I really miss that true, spirit filled, Gospel music. Nothing like it.❤❤❤ thanks for sharing.
This is one of the best songs ever and the lead on any song
This is always in rotation!!! LOVE this song!
Same
Mississippi Mass gospel are Timeless Classics.
I still listen to Mississippi Mass Choir and Rev. James Moore.
She was only 23 at this recording
REALLY?!
@@ajwriter5699 yesss. Check out the other songs she did at the same recording All In His Hands. Check out victory and Jesus What Shall I Render and we. remember. Are Leads with mmc. And a new song coming out on their new album.
😮😮😮😮😮😮😮 A voice like that at 23!
Wow 🤩
One of my favorite songs!
My testimony!! Thank you Lord for ALWAYS being there!
How do you like this 1000 times???? Hometown Mississippi Mass... the Mass...
One of my all time favorites! I “cut my teeth” on this song when I first started playing bass in 89/‘90. Haven’t played it since the 90’s. Well we are doing it this Sunday at church for “what we call “old school Sunday” and I’m excited to see what 25yrs of experience brings to my playing it now vs then. Im familiarizing myself with the changes and not over practicing on it. Excited to see how the Sprit moves…!
One of my favorite songs and the video is a must see because this girl SANG this song! They allowed this choir to sing without the modern 🎤 section, that make you think the choir can’t sing well . Glory to God!💜💜💜
She also leads another song with the choir on another project. "What Shall I Render".
I love What Shall I Render by MMC ❤❤❤
NOTHING LIKE OLD SCHOOL GOSPEL MUSIC ❤
I love watching the recent performances they have done of this song. There is a 2023 recording of _Venora Brown_ (the lead vocal) still blowing and sangin!!! ❤❤❤
THIS IS MY JAM!!!! Never knew it went viral, but I have always love this song. I sing EVERY PART!!😂❤
I be SMILING so hard when listening to this song! She DID that. Vocal Ministering! Yaas!!❤❤ Come on JESUS!!
This song got me through my 1st deployment when I joined the Navy!
One of my favorite songs from back in the days.
Child yes! DeeDee here - if you can listen to this song and don't want to know WHO she is singing about - then I 'm just gonna pray for you! Come on, Jesus! Yes, having Him there makes all the difference! Love your work, Jaron. You're in a class all by yourself! You are Blessed and Highly Favored!
Speechless! This song has ALWAYS been one of my favorites from day 1. ( back in the day) and forevermore. You're right! I feel the sprit of the Lord as she ministers. What a CHOIR!
You know your craft, coming from a 50+ year professional musician.......Your analysis is spot on....
Thank you for pouring into us as singers!!! It was great to see an old school gospel song with a new perspective.
The MMC owns Olympic Gold in Choirs ❤🎉💯🙌🏾🙏🏾
This is one of my favorite gospel songs and she flawlessly executes it. I remember hearing that song on the radio back in the day and choirs singing it. I miss choirs and gospel music like this you can just feel the spirit being ushered in🙌🏾🙌🏾💕
Venora Brown?? Was just listening to Having You There, today!
It’s so comforting.
This song brings back memories. My mom would play this song every weekend...especially while cleaning the house.
Phenomenal vocal performance 👏🏽 Gospel Gold! Excellent analysis Jaron:)
I love it when you analyze choirs!
I'm 45, a childhood goody and favorite. I need my daily dose of Ms. Venora Brown. I was hoping you analyzed this one day, what a treat, thank you!
I’m a MS girl! It’s about time you pull one of their many songs! Grew up on this choir and still listen them daily❤❤❤
One of my favorite songs too. I always thought it was two different soloists but when I saw the video I tipped my hat.
By far, the best choir ever!!! Everyone in that choir has a strong voice! What a blessing 🙌🏾 and yesssd, having You (God) in my life makes the difference 🙏🏾 🙌🏾 ❤️
LOOOVED this song for a few years now, probably around the time it went viral. Man, it’s so good!!
My Favorite Song
This is like my favorite gospel song from my childhood!! Thank you Jaron for this video!!!!🤩
Such a great throwback! @Jaron if you insist on “preaching” and getting me all riled up while trying to cook, Imma have to unfollow you 😂🙌🏾.
ha ha
😂😂
My grandmother had this live recording which was their first on VHS and as a youngin I watched this on repeat.
This is my favorite choir. There music ministry is and still is life changing.
Come On Hea Jaron!! Love Your Reaction & Breakdown Of The Song. Keep Up The Great Work, We Love You!! -Representing From Mississippi
I LOVE THIS ONE THIS WAS MY FAVORITE SONG WHEN I FIRST HEARD IT IN 1990. IT WAS MY FOURTH CASSETTE PURCHASED. I FELL IN LOVE WITH THE MISSISSIPPI MASS CHOIR WITH THIS ALBUM. EVERY SONG ON THERE WAS HITTING IT. BUT "Having you there" what's my favorite.
lol the beginning bruh you had me cracking up because thats my all top love of this woman!
This was and still my favorite song! Been loving this song since I was a child. I’m 40 now. Still have the Mississippi Mass Choir on cassette 😂. I play this song every Thursday on the way to the office along with JP Kee “Thursday Love”, twinkle and Kierra “I can do all things”, The Clark Sisters “Look to the hills”
One of my favorite of all time please make more songs like this
If I'm not mistaken, this recording took place on Jackson State University campus.
I think this one was at the Municipal Auditorium in Jackson. I do know the “I’ll See You in the Rapture” project was at JSU as well as a project with Rev. James Moore!!
@smoothjazz12 oh okay, good stuff 🤝🏾
No, JSU
I’m gonna check the rest of your channel but I KNOW you have done “ KEEP OIL IN YOUR LAMP” that’s one is my JAM! 🎉🎉
This is my favorite Mississippi Mass Choir song!! I remember singing this in church years ago!
I’ve been a music pastor for decades. I always pushed my choirs to sing with passion, which includes the technique, like this demonstrates. It’s a real challenge with small choirs.
Oh, shout out to the musicians who played with such excellence! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I get chills when I hear this song. The memories of leading it…❤
I was at this recording. I’m from Jackson,MS I was a little kid. Let me tell you this was a show to be in the presence of
She also has a very operatic voice to like the late Mrs. Campbell. Especially on victory in Jesus.
That video is timeless this video goes into the archives of Gospel music the real highlight of this video was seeing the smile on your face express how wonderful your life could be have God in your life it truly makes the greatest difference in our lives. It makes all the differences in the world. Love, Keshia
Out of all the songs and choirs you could have done..you did my mom I fav vhs from when I was a lil girl. I miss you mom! Ok I gotta watch now
This is my anthem for life
The lead singer here I believe is a first grade/kindergarten teacher as well
She is in our hometown.
This song is soooooo special, precious, unique, anointed, and one of a kind! ❤️❤️❤️
You made it even more special with your analysis 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Aint nothin' like that good old school mass choir gospel!!
Can you analyze the Amen TV show theme song ?!?! Vanessa Bell Armstrong 🙌🏾
IT DON'T GET ANY BETTER THAN THE MASS BABY!
A classic!
I love her lead on this song and have watched it many times just to watch her. Powerful!!!!!!❤
I love these videos!! Thank you for these! You have the gifts of singing and teaching. Love the hoodie too. And yessss...having Him there makes all the difference in this ole world 🙌🏾❤️✝️
One of my all time favorites! Every time I hear this song, I sing aloud as loud as I can. Loved your review!
Thanks for posting and analyzing this old school gospel throwback. I remember this song well. I loved it in the early 90s and still love it now.
I love the choir direction too. Her interactions with choir and their gentle in-between vocal response to her lyrics are beautiful.
Love this choral video!.. did not know others love it as much as well. And the fact that you are so into it for the same reasons as me! Thanks for sharing
My favorite video of a gospel song and lead singer❤❤❤
Listen, this song came out when I was stationed in Crete Greece. My friends and I listened to the VHS of this song. And we would have church in my living room. That voice is phenomenal!
Why did you have me in TEARS and FULL WORSHIP at the END!!! Don't do that to me!!
Omg I love the Mississippi mass choir
This is my top 5 favorite song.
Please analyze "Your Grace & Mercy" by this choir. Very moving testimony. ❤
Brotha !! You would have had to be in the place for this recording. I remember when I was younger and was there for it. And most of their recordings.
My favorite Mississippi Mass Choir song!! I was 18 when this album was released in 1988. Thank you for choosing this song!! The lead tore this song up.One of the greatest choirs ever.Great analysis as always. ❤
This is my song!!!
The Intro tho 🔥 musicians playing!!
