Did you feel the 600D was enough light output for this lighting setup? Did wanting to have the 1200d EVER cross your mind? Just curious. I want to do more booklight setups and wondering if I would regret going with a 600d instead of a 1200d.

not too sure if the light big diffusior in front of the floppy really broadens up the light source (3:56)? To my taste it could be more dense (with heavier light requirements of course)?

these heavier types of light setups is just another reason to stick with all one brand so you can drive it all from one control center. I had a mixed bag of lighting gear for a while (bought whatever was on sale) and one day I just sold everything except aperture and started buying only aperture. global control from a tablet is a godsend

Great video! How often do you use 2 600ds on the same shoot? I have one, thinking about picking up another. I already have a 300d and 300x. What would be your minimal 3 light kit to bring on a job? I think 2 600Ds and a 300D would be a pretty small, but powerful and diverse lighting kit. Any thoughts? Thanks!

If I had to use just 3 lights, I would typically go with 2 300d's and 1 600'd. The reason being portability. If that wasn't an issue, then sure the extra output would be great. The other thing to consider is having one bicolor for that control that you're not able to get with a full daylight kit (unless you have gels). I basically consider what the highest amount of output I can get in the smallest footprint.

@@jhnyhmnd that makes sense. I ended up going with 2 600ds, 1 300d, 1 300x and 1 60x. I’m think this little kit will do the job for most of my work. I wanted the extra output of 2 600ds so I can put both together through a diffusion when I need a large key, especially outdoors or a space with a lot of windows. It’s also nice to break them up. If I had to buy over I would probably get some rgb tube lights instead of the 60x and the 300x, although they are nice when it’s a small job and I don’t need to gel. For me gels are a small price to pay for the extra output. Thanks!

Why did you use the C70 for the A cam? Was it for the adapted full-frame?

Basically came down to lens choice. B cam was a tight and focus was being pulled, so the c300 made a little more sense with the bigger screen, larger body, etc. No full frame converters on our c70s yet
