    Great demo!
    Tips I enjoyed:
    Oil removing wipe
    Demoing with where the subject is looking, not necessarily straight onto the camera.
    Knowing how long it took to set up.
    Thanks again!

    Bloody brilliant video, mate. You've convinced me to buy the 600X that i've been researching these past 2 days. I suffer many colour temp conflicts in the locations of my corporates and that bi-colour, combined with that light metre app i have to definitely look into, will make life easier for me. You've also reminded me to increase my setup time. I never give myself enough ! Fantastic tip on starting the tripod high, too. Love it.

  • @BillStreeter
    @BillStreeter 6 місяців тому +1

    Good video. I always show for these early too. Mainly because the client sometimes forgets to build the setup time into the call time. But I also don't like to feel rushed. Nice room you got to shoot in. They always put me in conference rooms, which are terrible because it makes it hard to get any depth in the frame.

    • @PDMokry
      @PDMokry  6 місяців тому

      This is for sure a top tier conference/board room. I hate the tiny rooms with giant tables in them. I know I will encounter issues in office buildings, so I always leave wiggle room. You always get the best results when not rushed. Thanks for watching!

  • @buddyfx7026
    @buddyfx7026 6 місяців тому +1

    Always show up early for corporate for sure!! Security slows you up with so many unnecessary questions like "are you supposed to be here today?" when you've got like three carts of equipment and a team of people with matching shirts lol

    • @PDMokry
      @PDMokry  6 місяців тому

      They know me by name and still give me crap, but thats what the clients pay for. I always tell the client that I need 1hr to get into their space from parking and pushing in. But there are new folks that don't understand this, so I had to share.
      The funny times are when clients say you should push in through the lobby, I crack up at that.

  • @fotografkennethlund
    @fotografkennethlund 6 місяців тому

    Great point about being early. I've been "here" since 1996 og if there is one thing that you can count on, is that something will almost ALWAYS take longer than expected - even if you're using great equipment and have years of experience. It can be as simple as when you show up, the client goes "oh, you have to park around 5 minutes from here" and we have to go back and forth between the car and the location to get the gear ready. Suddenly, we spent the first 30 minutes even unpacking. Larger corporations are also typically a bit more spicy when it comes to letting you in and I can't count the number of times I've been held up in the reception for 15-20 minutes just to get access / a badge etc. When doing live streaming, you can almost for sure count on having to spend extra time getting online - I always make sure MY client handles this before I show up but still, it's almost 50/50 chance of them just thinking "well, I'm online so I don't have to check!" and then the IT guys go "You're not getting access to our network - we need to know about this 2 weeks before" bla bla bla.

    @JulioBHJ 6 місяців тому +1

    Great setup as always, Piotr! One thing I wonder is if the space would have lended itself to more depth in the shot - I know it looks rather busy, but sometimes a board room could emphasize the importance of the subject, like a CEO. Personally I try to play with the space I'm in, so it won't be another shot that could've come from just anywhere, you know?

    I started providing the same oil wipes to my clients over the past year, and I was surprised at the positive response. Not only was it helping the onscreen result, but I have received MANY "thank yous" and "what a nice touch, that was very thoughtful". It makes the client feel valued, even at such a low price point for the wipes.

      Most people know they get oily or find out fast when they use them. They know you care when you offer them up, because we want them to look their best. You are right, they are so cheap to have in the kit.

      I would've think it will be the opposite reaction. Will start using this
