That moss by the shore is extremely thick and heavy. It's unlikely that fish released into it live. They get stuck and suffocate. Better to make sure they get past it when releasing.
I appreciate this comment big time! Actually I've been going there for years and it's a thick mat on top but completely clean underneath. Those fish survived for sure. There are places by me that you do have to toss the fish past the weed line cause they will get choked out and suffocate in the weeds. But all these fish released at this pond get past that stuff. Thank you for watching!
Yeah they are awesome for sure. This was my very first time with it so I was using all the wrong gear. I think in this video I was using a 7'4" mojo bass heavy fast. With 20lb braid. But now I use this 8' Daiwa swimbait rod MH fast with I wanna say 12-15lb fluoro. The rod that I use now is a better option but honestly I couldn't tell the difference in hook ups between braid and fluoro. Thank you for watching!
Oh man you'll have some fun. I love throwing it now. Ive been learning as I go and I now know to throw some twitches and pauses in the retrieve. When ones chasing, it fires them up to strike. Good luck with it! Tight lines!
Thanks! I was using a 7'6" heavy fast action mojo bass St. Croix. It's actually my froggin rod hahaha. But I just picked up one of those Daiwa MH 8' swimbait rods. Looking forward to using that. Thank you for watching !!
@@OneAndOnlyChi I think you'll be able to throw a s-waver 120 with it. But if you get a bigger s-waver it might be too heavy to cast with a medium heavy. The 120 is just about 2oz.
I was using power pro braid 30lbs. And it was a revo x 7.3:1 with a 7'6" mojo bass heavy fast action. It's actually my froggin rod cause that s waver is about 2oz. I just got a better rod for swimbaits though. It's a 8' Daiwa MH fast action swimbait rod. It could be better. Thanks you for watching and asking !
River2Sea…. sign him up!
That would be amazing. I love their products. Thank you for watching!👊
